BIG Buck Down | Deer Hunting with Dogs

- Deer hunting was a HUGE part of my life growing up in NC and something that I have not done in 10+ years. While at home for Christmas break visiting my family, I was able to do a LOT of hunting and I can say that my passion for it is still there!!! Something special about deer hunting in NC and many southern states is the use of dogs during the hunt. This type of hunting is big in Eastern NC and can be quite action packed at times.
I know this is not my typical Lawncare video but I wanted to introduce you all to another passion of mine during the lawncare offseason.

I just want to tell you that you did a great job in this video. I really like the drone and the little extras like the hand at the beginning during the intro. That was a great technique to make the video flow and a fine job of explaining how dog hunting works. I myself is a southern boy from SC and dog hunted all my life and I will use this video and send it to my fellow family members which are Yankees from WI and they can't understand why I hunt this way. I tell them to walk one day in these super thick southern woods I live inn. They kill deer the size of a small car lol buy there woods are wide open. Thankyou for your video. I will keep my eye out for your new ones this year.

I aim to add a little extra to the the videos to make them enjoyable for the view and also enjoy the editing process. Hunting big open woods is very different than hunting thick cover. I do enjoy still hunting in the woods but running dogs is such a good time. Thanks for watching and I hope you have a successful season this year!

I don’t suppose you could point a guy in the right direction about getting on a hunt with dogs? It’s banned in my state I’m a big rabbit hunter love running beagles . My passion is whitetail hunting and to combine the hound and deer would be so amazing ! Anyway great video man keep them up please
Thanks man! I would say first thing is to find where it is legal to hunt deer with dogs that is closest to you. Same for me it is illegal in my current state that I live so I drive a couple states over where it is legal and I also happen to know people there. The next thing is CZcams is a great resource to hunting clubs that hunt with dogs that you could leave a comment and see if their club allows visitors. Most hunting clubs do for a daily fee. Also, I would try talking with someone in your local sporting goods store, they interact with hunters all the time and may be a good resource also.

Typically I'm in the woods but I was a visitor at this club so I stayed in my designated post the way they hunt.

Its a different tactic and a different trill. It's much more fellowship and enjoyment than just sitting in a stand for hours on in. I enjoy both...run dogs during the morning and day then still hunt in the evenings. Best of both
