Had a proper chuckle at the start watching you fight your instinct to help the blower, even before you mentioned it lol. I would be the exact same!
Looks like a good bit of it. Cant wait to see its longevity and see a car being painted in there and see how well it does. Cheers for the video take care
I think you'll make a good photo booth as well that would do with the nice LED lighting shame it doesn't come in green lol
Excellent video Martin, going to be a handy booth well done.
Enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing look forward to seeing more work carried out in your booth.
Awesome, thank you!
Brilliant. Been toying on getting the smaller booth for cycle bike resprays. These last two videos has help. Thanks 👍🏻
No problem 👍
I've been waiting for something like this for years!!
Will probably get me one of those in the future, thanks for your review!
Great demo Martin, I am considering buying one of these spray booths to spray my RS turbo on my channel
Think this will be a really sound investment and benefit the channel. I bought a large inflatable slide about the same size of your Paint booth for our kids about five years ago and it's still going strong. Puncture holes as such wont bother it as the air pump is running permanently. Looking forward to some good videos👍
Great video as usual Had me on the edge of my seat for a bit wanting to help push it up 😆
Looks like a nice bit of kit, It will be interesting to see its longevity.
Great stuff Martin, so happy for you!
Thanks so much!
Your a talented man Mart , I wish I could spray like that , can’t wait to see you using this more
Thanks Phil👍
Beauty. You displayed amazing self control whilst that last bit was inflating 😄 was clearly just caught up on itself. Looking forward to seeing you do Jimmy's car in there!
I really wanted to push it up lol
Absolutely fantastic Martin spot on you will be able to tidy your workshop up now 👍👍👍👍
Absolutely
Great video Martin, that booth is absolutally fantastic, what a great buy, nice spray job too looked super smooth, couldnt of stopped myself pushing the top up, well done for self control lol, 👍🏻
Lol
Good job mate lovely nice and spacious top bit of kit thanks Martin
That’s an awesome bit of kit. Look forward to seeing more 👍👍👍
Thanks Neill👍
Great review Martin
Wow what a great spray booth. So easy to use.All the best to you all.
Thank you so much 😊
Good stuff Martin, I like it.
That’s a fabulous bit of kit Martin, look forward to a dust free shed now
That booth is an absolutely fantastic idea Marty. No wind, bugs and the over spray goes out through the filters. As a bonus even on a cool day it would be warm inside to dry the job. Perfect...😊
Thanks 👍
Great Vid Martin 👍
Great job Martin love watching your review love watching your wonderful videos from South Africa
Really nice setup Martin
Must admit I'm well impressed with that booth Martin. You was itching to help it up to 😁. Really nice spray work to. It big enough to have a party in to. Fantastic video.
Thanks Neil, I did want to push it up lol👍
Looks great Martin , that's a great little booth , great job , thanks Martin
Thanks 👍
Great job Martin. I think I'd open both filtering exhaust panels to normalise the air pressure inside, maybe the air pumps are designed to match inlet and exhaust, I dunno, just me banging on about stuff I know nothing about lol :)
Superb bit of kit
I can see you making good use out of it
Absolutely
Looks great so far
Excellent job 👍
I think thats a bloody fantastic find, gosh i could of done with one of them many times through out my life when working on my cars at home. Great video keep up the fantastic content, love seeing what you been up too. :-)
Thanks 👍
The inflation time was fast and the booth looks good 👍 Best of luck with it
Looks brilliant Martin seriously looking at the smaller version 👍 so I can spray my motorcycle parts
a very good demonstration,,thankyou Martin..👍👍
Many thanks
I could see you were itching to give a helping hand😀
Great video Martin always top notch
I was lol
Martin I had a grollia pro spray booth and I had over spray all over it only came with one blower unit and that was to blow it up I should have got the vevor one years ago of ebay was really cheap if I get another grollia pro spray booth I get a 12 extractor fan to take the fumes out used them on site for welder work 😊
Awesome job well presented 👍🏻top marks
Thanks 👍
Nice clean job 👌 👍
Martin
Very cool a mobile spray booth this us a fantastic idea I love it mate
Phil in stoke
Great Vid, thanks
Having all the kit definitely makes life easier, looks like it will last 5+ years easy so can't grumble for that price👍
Cracking one Martin. Amazing spray booth. You are a cracking spray legend. Did say it will never go back in the bag 🤣🤣
Lol I'm with you on that one John.
Great video Martin.
Thanks 👍
Looks good buddy and plenty of room.
Where are you located, as looking for someone to do my Mondeo ST bumpers in lieu of a bag of monster munch and some red pop 😁👍
Always enjoy your videos martin
Thanks 👍
Looking good that
Mate it's fantastic.. you will get great use out of it
Hope so Mick
Lovely pice of kit well worth it
could be ran via a generator if worried about electric grid fail..
fantastic information about the booth ....love the video thankyou.....
Looks cracking that does, I like one of them to put pool inside to keep it cleaner for my grandson and I bet it keep water warmer aswell.
Great video martin could a vac help with deflating just a thought Nice one
Turn it into Santas grotto for the kids Martin at Christmas 😂
Great demonstration Martin. May I ask where you get your water based , Base coats from ?
Any Motor factors will mix it, I use Fishers of Lincoln.
Brilliant man ❤️👀👍😎
good bit of kit
Nice video Martin I quite like ur spray booth that thing will be good for different cars and jimmys bmw and that's the perfect place to respray sharons astra my st220 is resprayed soon just don't feel like doing it right now and at least the log cabin isn't going to be covered in paint anymore im learning lots of tips and tricks from ur channel thanks Martin and was that project mans mondeo bumper u were respraying
Yes it was bud.
@@retrorestore thought I could recognise it
If only you lived down the road from me, my Civic sits there waiting to paint.
Great video could see you was absolutely dying to help it to the point of Sharon saying leave it Martin
I was lol
good job man, love the booth just painted my car and would have been better with your booth,,thanks
Soon pay for itself! Lovely Jubbly!
Top job mate, would of been nice to see the bumper finished though, a sound investment by the looks of it, how long to Gary uses it 😂😂😂😂
Looks good. I will order one
Hope you enjoy it!
looks like you made one hell of a great choice for the retro restore channel martin. although i am damn sure sure the project man will be borrowing dads property all the time lol
You seem to be genuinely happy with your new booth! I bet we are going to see a lot of you in there.
One question that comes up whenever I see you doing these kind of paint jobs. Do you have to clean the gun in between coats? You mentioned that you apply the second coat 10 minutes after the first one. Does the gun get clogged if you leave it for that long? Cheers and keep your videos coming.
No need to clean the gun inbetween coats bud.
Quality that Martin , nice investment mate
Thanks 👍
Looking to get one for my small shop and spray lacquer. How are the fumes? Does the ventilation work well?
Yes it seems to
Would be decent for detailing in the winter
good vid... Just a tip. just quickly dampen the floor with a damp rag.. this makes the overspray particles stay on the floor When your moving around, :)
Its something that is done in permanent structure spray booth's too...
Another awesome videos mate just a heads up ifollow someone on CZcams called beyond the van life he uses one of these spray boots he has a shoe once with a van going off grass into the spray booth where are wheel span and tried pulling the floor up underneath the Axel. Keep up the good work mate can't wait to see when you spray a car in the Booth😀😎
Thanks for the tip Stu
Martin I was watching a video the other day and it started raining and the roof is not waterproof I would recommend putting something on the roof just incase your in middle of a job 😀 🙂 😉 👌
Ill check the weather before putting it up.
Hi Martin, another great video, disappointed to see you still walking on the booth when laying it out. As I said before it WILL eventually puncture if constantly walked on and I'm referring to the inflatable parts of the structure, not the walls or floor, which won't, of course, have any bearing on the booth inflating.
Just a suggestion here, if you had one of those garden storage boxes, placed where you have the air pumps located, you could store the whole lot in there and keep it sheltered and out of the way, no need for straps or anything else and subsequently easy to roll out and set up.
Alternatively a man of your talents could make your own storage box to put it in, just remember to fit whatever solution you choose with a lock so you can keep Project Man out. 🤣
Hi Martin apologies on how long it's been for my small
contribution to reach you but money has been extremely tight. Thank you very much for your content even the bits I wouldn't usually be interested in I watch and end up really enjoying. Keep up the good work. Ryan
Thanks for your support Ryan, it is greatly appreciated bud.
Great bit of kit that Martin, maybe a portable car lift next, or a two post lift, make working on the cars a lot easier for you, I'd happily contribute if you set up a fund me page or something, I'm sure plenty of your subscribers certainly would also 👍
Handy bit of kit Martin I don't do a lot of spraying most stuff av done been outside or round my mate's place. Lol might blow away up here in the Highlands lol. Joking my neighbour would kill me. In all seriousness it don't look bad at all. I will send you my bumper lol or even better next time your up visting your daughter you can take it back lol. Be nice to meet up with you for a cuppa tea in cafe. Your good at the painting lol better than me anyway. 🤙👍
Its a learnable skill Ali, i'm sure you could master it if you wanted.
Hi Martin, regarding the deflation questions. Is it possible to install check valves inline with the pumps. As you said its not going to be a permanent fixture so probably not necessary anyway. Great video thank you
The deflation really isn't a problem. It basically goes totally flat after about 30 minutes Leigh.
And Sharon doesn't mind this?😜
you got a bargin there martin when you deflate it next make sure that clear plastic folds inwards with the air pipes on top think that will stop it from catching
Yes Roy, I'll get there.
Decent that 👌
Hi Martin could you use a heater in the the booth .
Yes Pete I don't see why not.
Great bit of kit and it went up fast, but like you said it would go up faster if you had helped it .
Hi mate, if you had to replace the filters how would you do it?
I'd cut the middle section out and replace with standard filter membrane.
@@retrorestore Ahh okay, Thanks for the reply!
What would you use to secure the new membrane with?
@@SilentDeezy Maybe velcro, I've not actually needed to do this yet so its just a thought.
@@retrorestore oh wow, even with all the spraying you do? I'm sold!
Thanks for your review on this, I was a bit skeptical on the product but after watching your video I was amazed with how this thing seems to perform!
Love the music Martin! Do you pay a license fee to use it in your vids? We have similar taste in music lol, Class of ‘63!
I do Ken, I use Epidemic Sound for my music.
Great product Martin, this will help you out 👍. Why don't they make one with a non return valve? This must cost a fortune in electric.Great channel
Not really Nigel. Its not on for long.
@@retrorestore Apparently Martin, there is a new version with a non return valve. Once inflated ,stays up. That would be better. Loving your content. 👍👍
That’s way more quiet in real life than it appears on film Martin and I think I know why. CZcams when you upload videos heavily compresses music and compressing music makes it much louder than it would be in real life, it also makes it sound harsher. Very impressed how quiet it actually is.
@Ellis The DJ all comes down to money I reckon, they more they penny pinch the more they make. I loath compression on music. In the early days of downloading I could understand it but there is no excuse now as fast cheap internet is everywhere. My first choice is vinyl but if I can’t do it that way but want it digital I either rip WAV or FLAC from my CD collection or download high res either 24bit or DSD for my Onkyo portable player for better sound. I know many say compression makes no difference but it does to my ears!
Martin does it produce any static because static is a paint sprayers enemy
Not as far as I know
Martin I have watched many videos on pop up spray booths. They all suffer from lack of light inside
Otherwise they are good
I saw a sim video from the USA ,they was spraying a car in a identical device but diff brand and it leaked in the rain , hopefully it was a one off or click bait. If you do use it rain please beware Martin. Not having a go just making you aware incase you not seen the video I'm referring to obvs they may of got a duff one or it was damaged in transit 😉
Yes I've seen it Paul. I don't think they are rain proof.
Great videos mart but I’d rather listen to you sing then the background music I thought I was on hold to sky I went to press 1 keep up great work been waiting patiently for the trotter van since u first posted on it get goin with it will double ya views aka Paul foreskin
If you cracked the zip into the main entrance, air could have got in and helped the tent/booth inflate
Enjoy watching your video Martin. Can't you just. Use the other end to came in and out. Just in case you get a fly in there.
Yes, I didn't think of that lol
What size is this mate?
link below the vid with the details bud, I can't remember exactly.
Bloody hell Martin I was willing you to help it up, Use Vevor for Invertors and Motors they are quality products
I did want to lol
I could see how much you were itching to help it inflate, I was shouting at the screen "Leave it...........leave it!...............LEAVE IT!!!!!! and had my finger hovering over the button to pause the video just in case you gave in to temptation.😜
I think this is the first time I've ever seen Martin almost biting his nails, kind of worried in case by not helping the spray booth up it might get damaged. Luckily it didn't.
Sharon can turn it into a tanning booth 👍
I would be worried about the electric bills. More so when you are using the oven for powder coating.
No worries bud. Imagine the cost of having to pay someone for doing a paint job.
Imagine spraying a car and then the wife unplugs the fans!! But looks good, I refurbed some wheels and made a right mess of my garage, so can imagine how doing more spraying would not be good fir your garage and tools etc.
Thats a hell of a thing that , anyway is anyones that nervous about power outs , have a genny on standby.
