  • The show was held at the Dewars Centre in Perth and organised by the Perth Model Railway Group. Two large halls (The Ice Rink and The Bowling Hall) were well filled with over 40 excellent model railway layouts (24 being shown for the first time on this channel) and a large trade support.
An excellent souvenir guide was available (extra £1) with full details of all the layouts.
Luckily the weather was cooler than last year which it made it a much more pleasant day!
For layouts we have featured in earlier videos we try to concentrate on new features and/or different rolling stock if possible.
This video comprises five parts and we visited Perth on 29th June 2024.

Very enjoyable! I am an H0 Marklin operator, but for most of my life I did 0 gauge. The British trains were and are the most beautiful in my opinion. Thanks for posting this!

Burntisland must be one of the best layouts ever.

Yes, there is so much going on with some lovely touches such as the rope pulled wagons etc. Great to watch.

My top favourite layout is the Newton Ferrier layout because I love the steam hauled passenger trains!!

Yes, it's a very nice layout with steam trains out in the countryside. Glad you enjoyed it.

Yes it was a great show. Almost too much to take in on a single day. At least you can watch the videos instead and dream of being there in person!

As a retired BR train driver, as usual, i wasn't surprised that the first five trains had neither drivers (in open cabs) or passengers in any of the coacing stock, the rest were filmed so badly, but obvious nobody really cares about realism any more.

You are right that it looks so much better with crew and passengers on board.
