Best kept secret of LA for fashion, flowers, events, sewing, you name it. I got my daughter’s prom dress there for $250 and it was gorgeous. ❤

I used to go shopping 3 days out of the week because I am only 30 miles from LA. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

Nice video about the Fashion District in DTLA, your video just popped up in my feed, but anyway Downtown LA has changed so much ( the ppl ) in the 80's up to early 2000's it used to be so much fun shopping downtown, but not no more, store employees change prices on you always trying to get over, a lot of vendors selling food won't acknowledge you especially you don't look like them, it ain't all peachy like you making it seem in this video, was you the only Blk shopping on that day, cuz it's rare to see us shopping downtown now days, I stopped patronizing places that don't like me based on my skin color. But again nice video, thanks for sharing.
Thank you!!! I moved to LA in 2010 and wish I experienced LA as a whole in the 80’s! I left LA in 2018 bc of the blatant racism, not only downtown but EVERYWHERE!! I had a salon in Beverly Hills and lived in Westwood and the 👀👀 Got exhausting! Moved to North Hollywood, hated it and had to go! So I know exactly what you’re saying! There was a few of us shopping but it’s always only been a few of us since I’ve been going. The food vendors were nice although I did tell them I wanted eat there and they packed it to go, but I get LA now so I sat right down and enjoyed their toppings! It doesn’t bother me as much as when I lived there bc I know I get to go home! But living there was draining bc it’s hard to go basically everywhere and know you’re not welcomed!! EDIT: The last time I visited I stayed in the Dons and truly enjoyed it!!! If I had known, I would STILL be in LA, but everything happens for a reason!

This stuff look like thrift store, clothing, and fire sale cheap to me. Maybe you might find a diamond in the roof but from the looks of it, I don’t see it.
You have to really look or know your favorite vendors! It’s the same stores most boutiques shop! I always find goodies but I can tell from across the street if it’s trash!

Yeah... I know what you mean. At least with these items, it's all new items compared to your local thrift stores and are ironically priced like how your local thrift store prices would be nowadays. But indeed, much like your thrift stores, it seems it could be hit or miss... depends on what's out that day I would think.

Lol... I tell you I feel the same way about being part of a pack of women digging through some clothes to the extent of sitting on the ground/floor... Lord no. For starters, I already know it's likely nothing too appealing about what they're even digging for, and even so, it's already been picked through, AND IT'S LIKELY NOT MY STYLE ANYWAY. Plus, IT'S NOT WORTH THE EFFORT TO ME, and it just looks like a group of "follow the leader/monkey see, monkey do" trend followers... that's never been me.
