Noisy beast with the cylinder cocks open. Some great drone footage.
From Cowan through to Gosford is some of the loveliest rail line in NSW/Aus to travel IMO.
    Thanks for sharing.
    Cheers

Travelled on the 14.05 on Saturday. Like a pig in shit. Good fun. I was in car A.
I thought 4201 was doing a lot more work than I expected. Great V16 sound too.

The diesel is only on the back as there are no run around facilities for the Garrett. Great video as usual.

Great locos the Garretts but very smokes & smelly, used to ply main southern line past Birrong public pool back in mid 60,s pulling coal & freight trains, after school swim training,if wind blowing wrong way had to hold breath & go under till black smoke cleared ,coff. Coff splutter, uhh weird memories ay... 😅😅

It's crying shame that the diesel was pushing and the sound from the Garratt not able to be heard. I know all the reasoning behind having diesels on these trains, but In all the time that I was involved in QR Heritage, we only had one breakdown where a diesel was needed to get the train off the mainline to a depot. I think the management of our modern railways are too over causcious, the rollingstock is probably in better condition now that it ever was in regular service. Any way all in all, nice to see you boys still having a go down south of the border.
