  • Another "how to" install on 12 volt fan controlled by thermostat. The idea is to get better air circulation, which equals less run time and better power consumption of the fridge.
    Parts Used:
    - 80mm 12v Sirocco Fan
    - 300mm of 3mm Twin Core Cable
    - 2 x Crimp Connectors

    Hey mate, nice job.
    I copied your set set up and the fan works a treat. My brand new fridge when set on 4 is 1.3 degrees in the morning and 6.1 degrees in the afternoon. My fridge is in a canopy like yours with the doors open in a locked shed and doesn't get opened at all during the day. It is hooked up to a fully charged 240ah lithium battery on permanent charge.
    Is a 5 degree variation acceptable for an unopened fridge for a bushmans? Ive had engels all my life with zero problems like this.
    Cheers mate

      To behonest mate I don’t no looking on the FB page and other videos everyone is a little different also could come down to if your door needs adjusting, ambient temperature, if it’s empty/half full/full etc etc. I have seen some get better results with fan blowing on freezer and some that get water dripping when blowing on freezer. So maybe just play around with it if you can and find what’s best for your fridge and setup🤙

      Awesome, thanks for that. I just bought some today and was a bit worried that could be too thin.
      Cheers

    why do you need to put a fan in the fridge? does it not cool the lower shelves?

    • @roamin_in_a_ram
      @roamin_in_a_ram  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hey mate it doesn’t get as cold on the lower shelves especially when you have a lot in the fridge and also help stopping ice buildup on the freezer area. Isn’t just the Bushman’s fridges this all the up fridges on the market

    Have you got an update how its been going mate? What sort of temps and settings have you got now?

    • @roamin_in_a_ram
      @roamin_in_a_ram  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Hey mate biggest thing I have noticed is less run times so less power usage, less ice up in freezer.

      @MorgynH Před 10 měsíci

      @roamin_in_a_ram yeah nice, but hasn't been a huge difference in temperature?

    • @roamin_in_a_ram
      @roamin_in_a_ram  Před 10 měsíci +1

      @morgynhodge6742 yes the beers are definitely colder haha 😄. It all still depends on canopy temp, thermometer location etc etc however in mine I have notice ruffly 4deg drop compared to before. Hence less power usage and run time
