Since I had my patriotic decor up since May, I decorated for fall in Aug. I'm so glad I did b/c I injured my knee in May and will need surgery, it will be on Nov 22. So I can enjoy my fall decor b/c I will have to start my Christmas decor the 1st wk in Oct. So many medical appts all the way into Feb. Such a painful injury, so I'm limited to how long I spend on my leg. Here in WI on our 80 acres our woods are just gorgeous. They started changing at the end of Aug.We have our own little pumpkin patch & grew corn for the 1st time, so I will have cornstalk's to decorate with., also.

This thanksgiving we will be traveling to another state to have dinner with our daughter. We meet at a resort that our family has always gone to. And last year we ate at a really nice restaurant. And we will shop a little. It’s such a treat to see our daughter. Have dinner and shop with her. Soon we will be buying a home closer to her so that we can visit more often. We are very proud of her. She’s about to be a pharmacist and that been her goal since she was very young , like kindergarten age. So it’s something to celebrate. And we are planning a big celebration at graduation time. Definitely excited about our fall dinner and visit with her. Her kitchen is exactly like yours. Maybe we can thrift for fall decor pieces she can use next year. you can dove tail the ribbons ends by folding the ribbon in half longways and cut at an angle. make sure you cut up toward the fold or it won't be a dovetail. I learned that the hard way.

I love how you said you do what makes you happy. My mom also always decorated for all the seasons. I have good cozy fall feelings from that, so of course I wanted my home to feel that same way. Some of friends have shamed me that less is more, but I have a lot of fall and Christmas stuff that I love and want to use. I’m thankful that I watched your video, it felt like validation for me to do what I want to do.

Gorgeous fall decor! We don’t use the cabinets above fridge either but then I got an idea to take the doors off and use the cabinet as a display area. I have a few decorative items in there now.

Once again Rebekah you have done a wonderful job of decorating. My favorite scent is Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin from bath and body works. Too spicy for some but I love it.
