It just goes to show that the history has been passed down correctly... Being a young Skin before the internet and all that kind of thing happened, I was taught all of this history and many of these stories by my older friends, but without visual aids or videos or anything; only word of mouth (it was the cassette tape era, and I treasured my second-hand copies of copies of the original Ska/Rocksteady/Reggae records as if they were the original pressings themselves; they did not sell this music at the music store back then, so whatever you had was like gold, even if it was just an old worn-out cassette tape) ... I am glad to see that everything I was taught (before this video was made) is in perfect agreement with what this video shows... Bravo to SKINHEADS for keeping it real!

Clapton comes across as a massive knob in a lot of anecdotes. See for example his reaction to Jimi Hendrix or indeed the racist rants. Weird coming from a man who built a whole career thanks to black music.

You’d b surprised what you can find on the Internet.
As a sub genre itself, Reggae or at least Jazz has never been amigos due various factors such as tempo.
But if you study it, in the late 50s to early 70s Ska, ( Bluebeat in the UK ) followed by Rock Steady which leaned away from the diversity and variety of brass and wind instruments took a lesser popular stance due to changing musical times and what was deemed economical and viable at the time.
Studio session players were abundant in Jamaica and leaned heavily on the R’n’B ( as well as uptempo Jazz ) music which was coming out of America through radio stations.
Latin America was a melting pot for diverse sub genres of Salsa with Combos, trios and of course big bands who all played instruments and fused the vibe of the day.
I was born early 60s to Jamaican parents. Grew up in a musical household with church and god fearing parents.
Friday to Sunday music was persistent in my life!

In my view, he not only Enslaved himself, but IS responsible for ENSLAVING so many others throug his Songs, and Hymns, and Verses and Lyrics ! This is something ver serious to think about becaus eit is now happening with Gangster Culture and Hip Hop Music.
