Angoor is ultimate.A all time stress buster film.Just read somewhere that Sanjeev Sir's acting in Angoor is in the top 25 performances in the history of Indian Cinema.Not only the serious role of Thakur but his comedy timing was also spot on. These people never die,they are still alive in their creations.

In Nayee Din Nayee Raat he played 9 characters. But Sanjeev Kumar was so great that he got into the skin of every character. I mean who could play a 60 year old man handicapped in Sholay, a monster type character in Jaani Dushman, a policeman lusting after a sex worker in Manoranjan, a cheating husband in pati Patni aur Woh. He was simply a master. And mind you these were all commercial mainstream films not art movies.
I am from south. But I know hindi very well. I use to see all hindi films which were well received by hindi audiences. I am a big fan of sanjeev ji. When I am 7 yrs old he passed away. It was informed in all India radio my dad told me on that early morning the next day of his passing. My dad is also big fan for his smile and acting. Sanjeev ji passed in 1985. My dad passed away in 1989. Whenever I use to see his songs films I miss my dad and sanjeev ji more. All it was a nostalgic memories filled with tears in eyes..

Aandhi and Mausam are the movies which can be seen again and again and much better than Sholay. The heroines also gave commendable performance in those movies.

thanks to the camera man and team who managed to get this comment from Sachin.....yesteryear legends when they leave us, its so sad, but reliving that sad moment in Nov 1985, atleast we can unite with Sachin's feeling of having lost his close friend....aah heart attacks come so suddenly Kishore, Sridevi, Sanjiv Kumar, Mukesh...list is endless.......wish they give atleast an hour notice.
Sanjiv Kumar was those rare actors in that era, who started doing multi variety type of roles in a very early stage in his career. He just seamlessly fitted into these kirdars be it sholay, or naukar(1979) or namkeen or qatil or beimaan.

I am a huge fan of sanjeev kumar and I have seen all and all and each and every his movie hundred times. Though i am a maharashtiyan and can't understand gujarathi i have seen all his gujarathi films also. And i am a big fan of sachin ji also and i have seen all his movies also.both are great actors and super star also.
Had Sachin visited him in the morning he would have been lucky enough. Like, "Time and tide waits for none", death also waits for none. SK asked him "क्या तु जल्दी नहीं आ सकता ?" That was the nature's hint, which is beyond the imagination and understanding of humans.
It's not the fault of Sachin, at all. He must be having some important work.
