Innes you always have the best prints!! We also loved fitted nappies the most on newborn days. Fiyyah’s pockets are excellent too. As wool we adore Disana, great quality and affordable! x
😂 I love a pretty print! ❤️❤️
Thank you for this timely information, love from Kenya 🇰🇪 ❤
You’re so welcome ❤️
Beautiful nappies 🤩
They are! 😊
Can you do a video on newborn nappies that have pop in inserts please? :-) I'd be interested to hear your thought on them
I will try! ☺️ the short answer is that it depends a lot on the nappy but I’d always lean towards flat nappies or fitted nappies for newborns
We've got one month old twins and we're just trying our newborn "modern cloth nappies". Do you have any experience with them, because for us they leak straight through pretty quickly
Can you share where you got your knitting patterns for the wool covers you made? ❤
It’s linked in the description, from a website called Little Pants ☺️

Thanks for the video! Do you know if Pimpam ships to the US?
Sadly not! ❤️
I love the idea of flats with wool for newborns, but can you really contain the newborn poo to keep off the cover most of the time? Those cream covers are so beautiful. Does the lanolin help the poo wash off easier?
Also, stretchy preflats seem like they would be easier to fold and hold in the newborn poo, but I don’t have the experience to know.
When I used flats & covers with my newborn there was definitely a learning curve! I remember learning a couple of newborn specific folds here on CZcams to keep the poo off the covers. Also this next time I'm planning to use coconut oil on the bum to keep the meconium especially from sticking to baby's bum quite as much. ☺️💕
As the other commenter said, you need to learn folds that have good containment and work hard at rolling the legs in well so there’s a good barrier. Stretchy flats will be slightly easier when you’re starting out, but non-stretchy ones can work well too. To be honest, I do find fitted nappies easier from that perspective as the poo will rarely escape those. Some preflats also have elastics that help with containment (nulu diapers do one, off the top of my head) Though they are more expensive than basic flats. And yes, lanolin will help a bit, especially with newborn poo, but it’s always best to immediately rinse off any poo that gets onto the wool and then wash them properly as soon you’re able. Hope that helps! ❤️
Could you please share the knitting pattern you used for your wool covers? I would like to give it a go
Here you go! There are four choices, I’ve always made the Aran weight soaker www.littlepants.co.uk/content/category/4-knitting-patterns
@@aboderie thank you so much ❤️
I would like to knit some wool covers. Where did you acquire your pattern?👼

Finding nappies all so overwhelming. Is all of this video just for newborns then?
This is just for newborns yes! You don’t need all of these, I was just sharing my thoughts to help people see lots of different kinds. Most people don’t even start using cloth nappies until their baby is out of the newborn stage ☺️
