Hang in there Mo. Crying will come and go over the years. Lost my parents years ago. I too don't see them or feel their presence. However, sometimes I look in the mirror and see them, sometimes I laugh and suddenly hear mom in my giggle, sometimes I make a business decision and hear Dad's wisdom in my ear. Even the warmth of sunshine on my my face sometimes triggers my grief. Oh but emories often flood my soul and I'll laugh outloud, cry or just smile. These precious Memories sustain my heart, and with them they will never be forgotten. My faith and beliefs as a Christian tells me I will see them again one day and when it happens, it won't be a spirit, but them in new and healed bodies. I am so comforted by this. God bless you!
Lost my mom 2 1/2 years ago at the age 15 and it does get easier and better to deal with , something I realised on my journey to healing was that time is what we need to experience the pain , go through it and just deal with it ,Just take your time ❤️
Mohini - grief comes in seasons. Allow nature to nurture you. In 4 seasons you will find healing. You will, in 4 seasons, have experienced the “firsts” - the first birthday without your dad, a holiday, or specific memory. These are the most difficult hurdles to cross. Be kind to yourself, feel what you feel, and be in touch with yourself. You won’t have all of the answers, but you’ll learn the signs of why and when you feel the way you do. Blessings and love.
Dear Mohini. The feelings of the loss of your loving dad are so understandable. I can only wish for you to have the strength to give yourself time to mourn, share it with Mark and embrace the process of celebrating, how strange it may sound, what your dad has passed to you and your sister. I think it's brave to share your feelings with us and gives us more perspective of understanding your soul that you put into you playing your bass and being imho the best. Much ♥ and strenght.
I lost my Father 20 years ago (May 17, 2004) and my Mother 5 years ago. (Dec 20, 2019) I was adopted at birth and was so blessed to have the parents that I did. Losing your parents at any age is painful. Time will heal all wounds Mohini. The key, is to B natural. (Especially with a 5 string Bass) 😉 And know, that they will always be with you and protecting you. May God Bless YOU in all that you do Mohini. Love & Light
My dad passed away in December and in our Aymara culture the spirit of our elders and ancestors doesn't stay around but goes up to these special protector mountains and become protective spirits. My parents also got me into music and I feel I can express that connection through it. Certainly after seeing your recent interview about the relationship with your dad if he is watching from somewhere he must be feeling immensely proud of you.
Yeahh. It's hard to get away after a loss like this. We will never be prepared for this. If you decide take a break for resting and support your family I totally agree. Only know how to process inside yourself that difficult moment. ❤
I’ve lost so many people over the years over the past 12 years dear Mohini and it’s hard and in I lost my dad in 1970🙏🏽and I’am 70 years Dutch: De tijd heelt alle wonden🙏🏽 Take your time dear Mohini and as the years go by and GodBless 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
You grieve untell your heart heals. That will happen one day when you begin to remember the good moments you spent with your dad. There will you will hear something or see something that brings fond memories flooding into view. ❤ to you and blessings to your family.
I have recently started to follow you Mohini, you're an amazing musician. But I missed the part about your father passing away until this video. I am SO sorry for your loss. Yes, first big loss is really difficult, as I remember, but for me (father as well) is was 30+ years ago. Sending you love from the UK. 💗
Thank you for sharing all that you share with us, Dear Mohini. You have my deepest sympathy and my continued admiration especially in such a difficult personal time for you and your family. The new house looks very nice.
Loss is sad when it a parent it devastating its like going 1000 miles an hour and bam you hit a brick wall time is so complicated I promise he is with you and will be everyday helping and protecting you love never ends. the hardest part is not to live angry or mad as it’s easy to get sucked into it Fight the anger by creating love with all your talents God gave you.
sorry for your loss Mohini, I know from early pictures your father was a big part of your becoming a musician. I know you two must've been close. We will honor and remember him by enjoying your artistry. My condolences to you and your family
Work is good therapy after a loss. You are still in shock/ numbness. He won’t come to you until you are at a certain point in your healing.❤ Then there will be a moment when you knew it was him.
I just lost my mom and dad 5 days apart a lil over a year ago. I played gigs the nights of their funerals. I just met you at namm last month. We took a nice pic together with your new bass. Be Strong. He is watching you keeping busy.
Dear Mohini. There is no script for loss. Be patient with yourself and take each day at a time. You are very brave. Blessings and prayers with you and your family at this time.
Sorry for your loss. These things can take a great amount of time and further trials to get through... The presencce or fleeting visit from the other side. Definitely real. Believe it.
I am sorry for the loss of your dear father Mohini. It is not so easy to know in advance how to process such difficult times. He must have been very proud of you, and of the release of your first music album. And surely a good memory to have, that he got to experience it while he was still alive.❤
Hi Mohini Today is the seventh anniversary of my mother’s passing. My condolences to you and your family on the loss of your father. God/The Universe, call it what you will , takes from us and gives in equal measure, I believe. Not long after my mother’s passing my wife and I were blessed with our second child. She has a number of traits that are carbon copies of my mother’s. I am sure your father was immensely proud to have such a talented daughter and that he is still with you in all you do. I often feel that my mother and father visit me in various forms, from dreams to insects and animals that want to befriend me while I’m working outside. It is strange, but I feel their presence in those moments. I know that you will be blessed in many more ways. Stay strong and remember all the good times. Greetings from Brazil.
Beloved Mo, you are such a generous soul, constantly giving of yourself. That’s reflected in what you said about never having taken a break from your professional life before. So, please, please talk to me and all of your followers. Don’t hold back or become too concerned about the length of your video posts I want to hear what you have to share, I want to be the ears that you bend, as they say. I want to be anyone or anything that you need, Mo, because you have given me (and all of your followers) so, so, so much over the years. ❤ U Always and Forever, Vincent aka Vincenzo
I just subscribed recently so I didn't hear about your Dad's passing, my condolences to you and your family. I've been deeply influenced by Indian culture and religion, you have a beautiful heritage if you ever choose to embrace it ❤ Whatever you believe about what happens after we die, you still have the memories of your Father that you can always cherish. And who knows, you might even meet him again in this life or the next. Thanks for sharing your feelings with us, this is why I subscribed, to get to know you more as a person apart from your musical talents ❤
just discovered you yesterday. I am a double bass player too, from Spain, in mississippi. I ll go see you play, if you perform in nashville. Hope you feel better. You are a great vibe, not only a Ridiculously amazing musician.....
I've lost a lot of loved ones over the years. I finally came to the conclusion that God knew what he was doing when he created me and he will know what to do with me after I am done
Hi Mohini! Saw your interview with Rick Beato, and am THOROUGHLY impressed...BUT...where can I buy your new CD? I've looked EVERYWHERE! I do understand your loss. Losing someone close to you is something you never get over. You just learn to adapt, but it does take time. I know EXACTLY where you are at and I will pray for your healing. It will come. 🙏 It will get better.
❤ I'm so very sorry to hear about your father. Please hold on to everything that he has taught you and please forgive him for anything that you may be upset with him about. Always pray for him when you think of him because this will help you as well as benefit him. Remember it doesn't get better but you can get better with handling it. Always know that he loves you and is very proud of your accomplishments ❤
CONDOLENCES To you and your family. All of your lives are forever changed. Playing music with your sister and remembering him will help ease the pain. Again most SINCERE CONDOLENCES
The body of flesh is gone, but the real life of spirit, a duplicate of the body that is now in the spirit world, is still very much alive and watching you and with you every day.
Either way, his DNA carries on through you. But like the ancient Indian cosmologies & every other ancient religion believed, we are in a stationary realm, & we are, Earth is flat & stationary we're not standing sideways on a ball flying through space at a million miles an hour. We are in a created spiritual realm. Like a bass string or a drum head at rest. When note ends, it's not gone forever, it just needs inspiration to start back ♾️☸️
He's Asleep right now, until the day of the Lord, when those in God will rise first, and then we how are alive and remain wikll be caught up with the Lord. Please know that I'm a big fan. I wanted to order an OTTO, your model; but he said a year, so I'm looking for something sooner. My Condolences for your family. and I understand where you are.
