- You know you've made it when your franchise starts getting bootlegs, but it's very rare for those bootlegs to come from a source claiming to own the actual characters. Let's talk about one of the games that came of this bizarre situation.

0:35 Mild clarification on the Hanuman thing, Chaiyo didn't immediately claim ownership after the release of the film. They actually collaborated with Tsuburaya again on a Jumborg Ace movie. The ownership claim happened years down the line.
I still have a CD of Hanuman movie.
👹
Sad thing there isn't many Ultraman games nowadays.
Also, Black King saying "You're about to stop breathing" seems to be something you would see in a roblox meme or shitpost, like "go commit die".
Yeah.
Anything Chaiyo made regarding Ultraman just feels weird and uncanny compared to anything Tsubaraya made. Like it's the kind of feeling you get when you see bootleg toys at a dollar store, where something just doesn't feel right.
Lol it definitely has that bootleg aesthetic. I still can't believe the troll company Chaiyo gave Tsuburaya such a hard time all these years. That must have been such a aggravating ordeal to say the least
Everything about this game is just the uncanny valley for Ultraman fans. I watched a playthrough of this, and when I saw that they gave Live King poorly written comic book villain dialogue I literally busted out laughing.
This game reminds me of the Power Rangers Zeo game that was released on PC. It was officially licensed, but it has bootleg-like quality in other areas
Taro makes for great thumbnails.
7:37, wait, going away? NO WAIT!! WAIT!
This video game has a weird charm to it. I don’t know why but the low effort models and overall everything about this game is weird and fun looking. I would totally play this, it looks fun! (I never though in my entire life I would say that about anything chaiyo produced, wow.) Also the explosion sounds sounds satisfying, 5:52 and the remix of the music sounds good! Also for the snes games, I found them fun too for some odd reason. Idk if I just like crappy 2D fighting style games but their fun! That’s why I loved Godzilla Ultraman Gamera, it’s probably the best game jolt game I ever played!
Agreed, those crappy 2d fighting games have this bizzare charm to them. Idk how to explain it.
Game looks very rough. Still, sorta neat to see Live King and Pitt Seijin actual be a fighter in something. That's about all the good I can say about it though. Pretty cool video as usual. The rabbit hole of Ultraman bootleg products is vast and deep.
Now I can't wait for you to cover the Hanuman Ultraman movie, because I love me some good ripoff-sploitation lol
I mean, it was an official collaboration. It's the subsequent rereleases like Hanuman vs. 11 Ultraman or Space Warriors 2000 that were straight ripoffs. Considering Chaiyo went ahead and made a Kamen Rider movie without Toei's permission around the same time, and a lawyer may call this slander, but I think Sompote Sands' mind was never in a legal place.
Thank you for your sacrifice on this. Your wit shines through the suffering this video portrayed.
The court case between tsubarya and some Chinese company would be a fun video
*Thai
@@xkumanekox no thanks I'm not hungry
@@xkumanekoxTo be fair, there was a Chinese company that the Thai company Chaiyo worked with to make two really bad animated Ultraman films (the Dragon Force ones), which Tsuburaya thankfully axed as well.
@@anthonyboodram608two bad movies and a tv series which plagiarized other movies and shows like Monsters&Co that completely dropped any reference to Ultraman after they got sued by Tsuboraya
If I remember big issue is a lot of the paperwork and details are in Thai and Japanese, though idk if any is translated
Hey! I made terrible "walkthroughs" of the 6 Chaiyo/CyberPlanet games available in the States way back in 2013 and have spent dozens of hours on these in total so it's always cool to see videos like this on them all these years later. I have a nostalgic fondness for them since they were pretty much all I really had access to as a child but at their core, the games really are just repetitive budget titles. There are a few good things about Taro Adventure (OST is surprisingly decent and the cutscenes aren't bad for the era), but I don't think it really has much value outside of that nostalgia.
If you thought Taro Adventure's scriptwriting was bad, the Galaxy Alert and Monster Crisis dialogue is probably even worse (although I prefer those games' gameplay and sound design). There's literally a segment in Galaxy Alert where Metron is trying to steal "the crystal," an item that has not once been mentioned in the game and will never be referenced again. The game just expects you to know what they're talking about. Ace is absolutely busted though. He is both the fastest character and can stunlock every enemy in the game by just timing your attack button presses.
As for the others, Ultimate Fighting is the same as Taro Adventure visibly but it's a basic fighting game. Honestly the one I got the least out of, it was pretty boring. Power Fighter is an alright Bejeweled clone but you get everything you want to get out of it in like an hour. Fine distraction for an afternoon though (and it's the only one that has multiplayer). Little Adventure is a weird collectathon game that kinda works? Honestly thought it was surprisingly hard as a kid but that might have just been me being young.
Good video 🦓🦨
4:40 You shouldve used the Jimmy Nutrun Happy Family Power Hour text to speech voices
I hope you eventually cover the other games in this bootleg Ultraman series like Ultimate Fighting.
Hanuman should have been playable 7/10
Its funny how chaiyo can even publish a game at all lol, I dont really want to play this
That said, thailand's a bit kinder on the Ultra franchise as of late, the distribution of ultraman things in thailand has been handled by DEX club now, and it's much better
This is giving me flashbacks to that Power Rangers Zeo game made for the Apple Pippin...
Oh my god this is gold! And okay I can forgive the whole 'oh ZAT can talk to Taro now' it kind of a leeway u see a lot in videogame that adapt a show where the attack team become sort of like the narrator so their words mean law? But for dialogue and voice acting itself, if u can call it that, yeah just what I expected from this knock off company.
interesting, very interesting...
3:38 that thing need to be turned into a creepypasta or an SCP.
*looks at Alien Pitt's sprite*
_ok, hear me out_
I played this game in the early 2010s. Somehow this was released in Germany "officialy", whereas my country is a true desert, when it comes to Ultraman.
Some of the monsters look like pre-FNaF Scott Cawthon models (particularly Live King & Dinosaur Tank).
At first I though the Alien Pitt was a Kamen Rider lmao
00:17 i hope someone talk about this :v and i need more footage of it
Kaiju Busters looks like a great game, too bad I can't read Japanese and have no idea how to play it
Review of the Ultraman Nexus game
Can you do a video on the 3 4kids ultraman tiga shockwave flash games?
The. What.
@@friendlyneighborhoodkelbea7258 you heard me!
Yeaaaah unlike Super Toku Wars I don't think I'll be playing this through 5+ times.
4:44 OkEi DoN't WeRrI
I SAW TAKKONG
I'm glad Chaiyo loss the battle for the ownership😂
Oh god... Definitely not a proud Thai moment...
Me a Thai person: oof
Am i the only one that actually liked the thai trio?
@boogerman908 I’m Thai and I liked the designs even though I knew that it’s unofficial
I bet your the second person to play this game
This looks like an awful game I would've been obsessed with as a kid just because it was the only thing I, or my friend with a better computer, had.
