@amphibiousoner if they don't already have an audio output you can open them up and wire in a jack or cable to the built-in speaker connection.

@amphibiousoner any toy that has a speaker, it can be changed to a line out and still play on the speaker for contact mics also... check out Circuit bending...

@gorpishalamorpish Its really easy to fiddle with the line level outputs that go to the mini speakers in toys.
3:08 I wonder if it would be possible to do a BOWED string (i.e. violin) that's connected to a turntable cartridge, or if the required tension force would inevitably be too much for the tone arm?
