I'm in the service industry at a full service restaurant and my employer pays me $3.35 an hour. 😮 I rely on the generosity of strangers to make a living. I do pretty well.
While I am happy that you do well, relying on the kindness of strangers, I am OUTRAGED that I am forced to do it, when your employer won't. I have to pay 4X his food costs, and YOU TOO?!? I'd rather stay home, and cook for myself. Praise your God, for lazy people. Would you honestly encourage your daughter to do it? I have one, and I never would.

I like Jersey Mikes, have eaten at the original store. Sad they don’t pay well and the working environment needs improvement. Benefits would help, flexible work schedule is nice.
After watching this, I would never go to one .Mainly, because I have no plans to EVER go to Jersey again. In the Boston area, there are FAR too many family owned sub shops, that do the same thing. Where Jersey Mike's would never even get a toehold. Family owned places that have employees that are stakeholders, generally here to stay, rather than wage slaves. And what the HELL is in those brown bottles, that they are constantly dousing over subs?!? Nope, nope, nope. Tip a sub shop worker? That's like tipping at Mc Donalds.
You could go to Delaware or Maryland.

A free sub??? Really?? I don't think Jersey Mike's is any better than Subway IMHO. The employees at both have been nice as long as I can recall. Gimmie a Jimmy John's or Potbelly over these two any time. Just one opinion

I never tip fast food workers. Shame on J Mikes for pushing that guilt on their customers.
