    I got iLoud Micro Monutors teo days ago and I'm blown away with their soubd quality. I was expecting that bass wont low, cause its just 3.5inch small speaker, but they go way lower than my earlier Logitech X-530 that had SUBWOOFER. Yea, they win with bass against subwoofer. Mind blown.
    Stereo imaging is unbeliveable, I dont feel like I need to EQ...
    I thought they will play great only at low volumes, but they can go extremely loud without issues. You can throw party in your house with these.
    I also think thay they look awesome, really fits if you have rounded edges in your furniture (table, chair).

      @AXYZE Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@MrNoipe If you buy such speakers you only buy once, you don't need to replace them in 2 years, maybe not even in 10 years. Considering that I would call them cheap. If you will use them for 10years its only $30 per year. You're better of buying these than get couple cheaper ones.
      I did this mistake with bluetooth earphones - I bought like 10 pairs of $20-$30 ones in 3 year period, because one did break, one were uncomfortable, one had not enough bass etc. and I could easy pay $100 upfront for good ones. It would be cheaper at the end and I would have way better experience.

    They're expensive and not ideal for a smaller desk like yours but if you want to have your mind blown, check out the Kali Audio Ultra-Nearfield Studio Monitor System sometime. I am absolutely shocked by how good they are. I probably shouldn't be as Kali Audio's monitors are some of the best in the business.
    That being said, I have Kanto TUKs, YUs and ORAs so I guess that makes me a fanboy. I can't wait to hear the soon to be released Kanto ORA4s and RENs. Speakers are subjective up til a point, but there are objective ways to tell what is a good speaker and a bad speaker and thats w/ Frequency response & directivity measurements
    As someone else mentioned Kali Audio is a big value brand that always measures very well in objective measurements. Both the Kanto Ora & iLoud are great speakers, if you're concerned w/ the tweeters being too bright on the iLoud you can always point speakers away off axis from the ear. Instead of the setup where the tweeter points at the ear move them slightly further away and the response tilt at listening position will be reduce the tweeters intensity.

      The LS50 has been highly praised and recommended for nearfield use by reviewers, and after a demo in a hifi shop I found the R3 sounding better, with more bass and a 'relaxed' sound.
      The main issue is the port on the back which can get too close to the wall, but you can always stuff this port of correct for the effect.

So unless you have a very deep desk, you will be sitting closer than recommended. But at the end of the day, it is your setup. If you enjoy it, then don't let anyone stop you from doing so. For me, I ended up going for a pair of Genelec 8320As for their small size. If my desk was bigger I probably would've considered the LS50 as well.
