amazing what RMC pulled off on the coaster with only 100ft lift. 3 inversions, non-stop twists & turns, lots of air time. and probably the most existing structure they ever save3d with a conversion
My boyfriend took me on this as my first roller coaster, promised me that it would be an "easy one"...needless to say, he really threw me in the deep end haha, this one isnt for the faint of heart
Lucky enough to go to six flags yesterday and the park was literally empty all day! We rode this at least 10 times and it was wonderful every single time! So smooth and after riding Blue Hawk, a smooth ride was much needed!
Closing your eyes while riding high intensity rides will give you nausea for sure. You need your eyes open, focusing on the track up ahead, where the train is going to go, at different, changing points. Similar to driving on a twisty road. This way your head & body is somewhat prepared for the ride's elements.
Just rode this thing and it is not for the faint of heart! Butter smooth, but crazy intense. And the lack of any hand holds really locks the intensity to max. I was not expecting it to be that amazing. RMC, you guys knocked it out of the park with this one.

@@SmolFenFen It’s intense, but you feel fine when you get off. Your head doesn’t feel weird like it does getting off of Goliath. The coaster is honestly a marvel of engineering.

I rode Georgia Cyclone when I was younger, then got on this the other day, and let me tell you the bunny hops at the beginning where a very strong clue into "hey this isnt the ride you remember, brace yourself". Was not disappointed at all. Edit: to add context i left out
I like that the coaster they replaced the Georgia Cyclone with is revamped better version of the original coaster. The original cyclone was my favorite ride at the park when I was younger and I was a bit sad when they decided to finally retire it. It makes me happy to see that they paid the original ride homage.
so glad they revamped the cyclone for the modern day! I've been going to six flags over georgia for about 20 years and I've seen a lot come and go in the park, and now this one of my most favorite rides! also, the line is never that long, and it's right in the front of the park! 10/10 must ride!
I have ridden this when it was the GA cyclone before it was retracked. It is ten times better now. My favorite ride at Six Flags over GA, even over Goliath.
I rode this when it was the Georgia Cyclone and it caused me a migraine and the worst back pain i ever experienced from a rollercoaster. I couldn't take more than a few steps and had to sit for a while after. I almost banged heads with my ex too at the last turn. I hope with the new track it feels better.
I rode this ride so many times before they fixed it and I'm kinda sad to see the bumpy bruising ride to be gone but happy to see it faster and sturdier than ever even if I miss how it used to lean on the top turn
I rode the Georgia cyclone a year before they remade it into this. Took my kids with me for their very first ride. It was brutally rough. Almost ruined my kids to the idea of riding roller coasters. Drastic change from what it was like in 1990.
Wooden coasters get rougher with age because of all of the forces acting on the wood. The steel will hold up much better over time and the ride still has the iconic layout with a few new twists.
This was my favorite coaster until I rode on the Goliath, I will cry if Goliath breaks down, gets closed down for remodeling or just breaks. I love the Goliath nd I call it my baby roller coaster because I care about it so much 😂
Omg literally I love this ride I always go on it first sense it’s right there and I’m always in the back too with my friend Gisella, and every time we go air born so for the thrill seekers I recommend to sit in the back of the train!
Blakson Atl RMC has actually stayed this in a couple of interviews, that it all has to do with how much support structure they have. They have to be able to make sure the ride can stand and run safely. So what they do is during the design process, they see what they have to work with. In Twisted Cyclone’s case(and really all the SF rmcs)was that they did not have enough supports available to complete a third loop. While I’m sure they tried to use as much as they could, it all came down to safety. The reason the CF hybrids have been longer is because a) steel is easier to bend and make Into tighter turns, and b)they had more structure that could safely hold all the track up.
Oh my gosh I just rode this a couple of weeks ago and it seemed soooo long lol. I miss the old one. I prefer no loops and this was the second best coaster at six flags. Wood is the best. But I will say that it is smooth. Like so smooth that it may be even smoother than the Goliath. Last time I rode the Goliath was 8 years ago so I’m assuming Goliath is still smooth. I’ll find out in oct cause I ain’t goin back till it cools off. But scream machine….that is the mother of coasters and none will ever top it. I’d go to six flags just for that even if they got rid of everything else good. But as of now…I’ll be using my season pass at white water instead. I hadn’t went in the summer in like 20 years and I remembered why the other week. Sorry thunder river…you are not worth it.
