I thought the episode was good I just wished they gave some characters there original personalities from BFDIA like Ruby since right now she’s just another comedic character when she was originally more sensitive and dim-witted
When I rewatched the first few episodes of BFDIA, I actually thought the was pretty fun. But past that original run with her character, her jokes haven't hit as well + they feel unnecessary. Glad to see someone feels similarly
In BFB 11 yellow face said to Lollipop "You don't know anything" the only purple characters he didnt said that to is marker

BFDIA 7 was another good one. Im glad to see they can replicate their old sense of humor. And them filling in more of the blanks between bfdia and idfb is cool to see. I just hope theres more interesting challenges now that the two main problems of being in yoyleland has been addressed
This episode was a massive step up from BFDIA 6. Had a better, faster pace and none of the gags overstayed their welcome. And finally a BFDIA/TPOT episode that isn't 30/40 minutes long. That's been a pet peeve for me lately, 10-20 minute episodes work just as fine, especially now that they're coming out at a faster rate. I liked Ruby and Pencil. Neutral on Book and Ice Cube. Disliked Gelatin and Firey. I like how the crew has been doing eliminations so far. They had Rocky switch to WOAH Bunch and that allowed most of it's better members to stay longer when they lost. Same thing here, assuming the 4 original FreeSmart members are safe next episode.
Yellow Face told Lollipop she knows nothing in BFB 11, so the gag is fairly consistent. It's not a gag that I liked seeing pushed this much. Feels like they're throwing Yellow Face under the bus to keep Spongy in. Probably for more Coiny conflict. And in case you're wondering, TV was sent to the TLC so the season can continue with IDFB's canon. TV taking the key, is why they can't just open the lid in IDFB and need to use a wall teleporter to get everyone out.

Was waiting for this one. Hopefully your friends catch up soon! Are they watching all of BFB and TPOT before these? I figure itd make more sense to just rewatch BFDI/A and *maybe* IDFB since thats how these work chronologically
Nah I plan on rewatching just the original season and BFDIA with them. Watching BFB & TPOT would just be too much right now lol
16:20 Well, Coiny did push Spongey onto the spikes and killed him in BFDIA 5 and didnt apologize to him when he asked, so that’s why Spongey’s been hating on him since BFDIA 6 lol

The purple things somewhat consistent lollipop and him are rivals since they sell the opposite product as each other but yea I agree with what you said about freesmart I do want that alliance to stay longer my only problem is that they kinda put firey and gelatin into a corner (more so firey since he’s actually more responsible for the loss) since most people are probably gonna go after those 2 for sabotaging which sucks because as much as I love freesmart as a team potentially losing gelatin and firey as a duo will suck it’s a lose lose situation for the votes ideally I’d want gelatin to go since I don’t really like the direction they’ve been going with his character it’s been a problem with me since BFB post split and it honestly seems a lot worse here so while it does suck to say I do hope he goes I’d say this episodes a solid 8/10 for me great reaction as always man
I liked this episode a decent amount. I definitely hope that pencil can last a while because of how early she left in BFB. The Freesmart dynamic is one that I’ve missed. I’m also hoping that Fiery and Gelatin don’t last too long because of how far they’ve both made it in the past and also because I haven’t found either all that entertaining as of late🤷♂️
Unfortunately certain annoying elements, such as the players staying in yoyle city, have to stick around because this all takes place before IDFB, so anything established there has to remain true here.

I thought this episode was great, better than BFDIA 6 because it was more entertaining, not as many scenes that drag on.
I liked Gelatin and Ruby and disliked Pencil and Firey so i was a bit disappointed to see who you disliked but it's fine, lol.
I didn’t hate this episode but it wasn’t my favorite. It did have some jokes in the spirit of old BFDI, but the think the writers lost a bit of that old humor when they got older, despite their best efforts. I don’t think any character was obnoxiously out of character or annoying except maybe Yellow Face? He wasn’t really out of character I just didn’t like him this time. Spongy’s mad at Coiny for pushing him into spikes in 5c (at least I assume) but honestly this doesn’t feel like the same Spongy in BFDI and BFDIA. Like he’s supposed to be a generally quit gentle-giant powerhouse but he doesn’t give off that vibe anymore. Spongy’s my all time favorite character in the series, because of BFDI and nostalgia. Anyway, I voted to like Pencil, Ruby and Ice Cube and disliked Firey and Gelatin, as they’ve both already gone really far in the series. I hope later BFDIA can reach that sense of humor as old BFDI, but I doubt it. I’ve been enjoying this series returning so far though and think TB was pretty good this episode.

Glad to see another reaction and BFDIA back and I thought this episode was really pretty good, but to answer your question about Spongy attitude to Coiny this episode and last episode even though you did show it at 25:29 I wanted to give my take on it. Spongy is definitely in the right! I mean I thought it was weird too when I first watched this episode but then I remember when Coiny straight killed Spongy right when he told him not too and didn't even apologize NO ONE DID the Spongy abuse is big he even got eliminated in this episode so yeah Spongy's actions to Coiny is 100% justified. The only problem is I think people might take this as Spongy being a jerk and taking into account that Spongy was in the bottom 2 this episode to say I'm not scared is a understatement but who knows I'm rooting for my boy Spongy also I definitely agree with voting Gelatin he is just annoying and the rest of the characters are just better
lol I think the whole "Lewis" thing was just their way of trying to fit that random clip of someone playing minecraft and saying "cake at stake". Lewis' "stats" that they showed during that bit are also just as absurd; he's 10 feet tall and weighs 3 pounds because of course he does.
As for the actual episode, yeah, I also liked it too. I wonder if Firey and Gelatin are just gonna stay on FreeSmart for a while now. It sure would make for an interesting dynamic, and I like how it's the kind of thing that could only really happen in a ruleset where anyone can freely switch teams each episode. I can also see how they're gradually building all of this towards IDFB 1 as well, as this episode seemingly explains how TV ended up back inside the LoL and how post-Puffball eliminated contestants didn't. I wonder how they're gonna connect things like that if they can.

I think you can definitely see the shift in writing from the old BFDIA to the new BFDIA. It’s much more fast-paced and energetic than the old BFDIA, more stuff happens in the episode, and it’s way less edgy. The old BFDIA was very edgy and dark, and the new BFDIA is a lot more bubbly.
Also I know you disliked Gelatin this episode, but even though I’ve never been a big fan of him, I’m actually very happy with how they’ve made his character in BFDIA. I COULDNT STAND HIM in BFB post-split, I found him extremely annoying, the random dancing and beep boxing, and I overall found his character extremely annoying. Although I wouldnt exactly say I love him here, I definitely like him way more than his BFB counter-part since his humor isn’t as wild and in-your-face.
Imo, this episode was not good. I found every character pretty annoying this episode, except for Book. Yellow Face, Gelatin and Spongy were also fine too this episode. My main issue with this episode (and the BFDI series as a whole since TPOT 3) is the dialogue. Some of it is just so unnecessary and, for this episode specifically, a lot of the jokes seemed very forced.
But that’s just my thoughts. I would go into more detail but this is just a comment, not an essay. Overall, probably my least favourite episode of the whole BFDI series.
I'm interested to hear why you mentioned you liked Gelatin and not Firey-- they played the same role and were equally annoying. I feel like the only reason I chose to vote dislike on Gelatin was his repeated missed jokes (for my humor, at least). Sad to hear it was your least favorite episode though!
@@DizzyPunchI never said I liked Gelatin, I just thought he was fine this episode. Gelatin was extremely annoying in BFB (Especially post split). In BFDIA (Eps 1-5), he’s a sensible character, still silly at times but he isn’t annoying and 1000 times more bareable to watch. I’m surprised BFDIA 6/7 were somewhat consistent with his character this sesson.
Even though he and Firey shared the same role this episode, Gelatin was a more grounded character at times whereas Firey wasn’t. Gelatin picked out tame challenges (Minus the smashing windows) whereas Firey was pretty chaotic this episode by suggesting dangerous challenges. Not to mention that scene where Gelatin talks to Firey seconds before the challenge ends shows Gelatin’s more sensible side.
Oh wait, I forgot this wasn’t an essay. NEways, that’s just my thoughts and thanks for replying!! 💚
