Back in September, 2020; we moved to Vancouver, B.C. for nine months. It didn’t take long for the city felt like home to us. Melissa completed her school program and our visas didn’t extend much beyond the school calendar, so it was time for us to move onto our next adventure: living in 12 cities in 12 months.
We’ve missed Vancouver though! The people, the hiking, the restaurants, the beauty of the city itself - all of it. For a more in-depth look at the amazingness that is Vancouver (to us), check out this playlist:

" I feel more at home here than my own home". That's a big statement Melissa. What can I say? As a proud Canadian ( and BC'er) . I'm happy you two enjoy being here. It is a special part of the world.

Chris+Melissa. Check out the Caribou region of BC. Like 100 Mile House and its surrounding area's. People are very friendly here. Lots of lakes and hikes. Only problem is everything is so spread out so get used to driving 30kms to get anywhere lol.

Vancouver is consistently ranked in the top 10 of the most livable cities in the world and it looks like you guys have confirmed that for yourselves.

Liveable haha not even close liveable means its affordable and Vancouver is only affordable for millionaires if you ever hope to own.

I need to get me one of them Strathcona bagels sandwiches.
Hopefully I will get to Vancouver again.

My wife grow up in Vancouver. I mostly grow up in Abbotsford.
Vancouver has lots of beautiful area's around it and the water.
However Vancouver is completely affordable to anyone who hasn't bought 20 years ago.
My sister in law makes 40 dollars a hour works full time. Her husband makes 25 dollars a hour works part time. You would think they could afford to buy in Vancouver. That's a big fat nope. They choose to stay and rent a basement for 1500 a month. Which could easily go for 3000 but they have a good landlord who hasn't jacked the rent like everyone else.
Prices in the Fraser Valley are insane and artificially high because of foreign buyers from China dumping loads of money in the retail market for money laundering. This was happening during Clerks Liberals and before that.
BC needs to ban outright all foreign ownership of homes. And give those owners only a single year to sell. You'll see the housing market crash hard. And those who can't sell in time will have there homes seized. I"m only talking FOREIGN owners not Canadian's.
We bought a townhouse in Abbotsford for 382,000 in 2017.
We sold that townhouse in Abbotsford for 505,000 in 2021.
How the hell dose a townhouse in Abby go up 50% in 4 years.
My brother had bought a townhouse in the same complex back in 2012 for 182,000.
Look at those prices and ask yourself are they supply and demand ?
Or are they from money laundering from foreign buyers.
Aside from the outrageous prices in Vancouver. There's also the politics. Vancouver is full of a bunch of libtards. I would never live in such a depraved cesspool. Its only slightly better than Seattle.
No matter how beautiful Vancouver's area is. The city is totally unaffordable and filled with libtards.

You may know this already but the barge is now being dismantled, probably will take a few months but I think the City thought it was a hazard. I would prefer it would stay. I will have to remember about looking for your painted rocks.

I lived in Vancouver for 2 years and could not wait to get out of that toilet city. I now live in rural Vancouver Island. Much much better place to live.

I would never live in Vancouver with all the libtards there. My god that place is horrible. Only slightly better than Seattle. But if you want to experience a true toilet city goto Portland. lol

I hate cities, but if I HAD to live in a city (and, I could afford it), Vancouver would be my choice, by far. It is a pretty cool place. Of course, where I am now has about 100 people, or fewer, so.... :)

Might as well get your permanent resident, once you've lived in van ,there is no finding anything as great with nature on your doorstep
