Honestly pretty dumb if you ask me. the whole point is that one of them has to kill the other during the match. I get that Rhaast is more of an alter ego for Kayn here but it would still make more sense for the transformation to be that Kayn "commits to a specific style". This just feels a bit weird

Really cool skin for Kayn, my only gripe is that the E doesn’t play the melody when walking though walls. KDA Akali does it while inside the smokescreen

I like how in the KDA/TD/HS universe they made it so that Kayn and Akali are friends. It's cute to see them have the same type of personality with him saying "She gets it" and I just imagine them sharing each of their bands' victories with each other. (People corrected me and said KDA/TD Akali are the same person in that universe).
in the normal skin, akali has a voiceline where she basically says "why do the cute ones always have to be crazy". So here, it would seem that they are actually dating / interested and I am here for it.
This skin is really specific, you either love it or hate it I honestly love how they are expanding from Zed comic on Kayn/Akali where Akali considers Kayn a tad bit too crazy for her taste
I doubt it. They're enemies or just teasing each other, I don't know where people got the impression of kayn liking akali. Its only akali thinking kayn was hot but crazy for her tastes. So there isnt any potenitial for a relationship really
The only thing I really have a problem with is the shockingly small amount of voice over, it has like 1/4th the amount of voice lines of odyssey kayn. Other than that the skin is amazing, i love the way it looks and all the animations.
It's just not finished, and Rhaast isn't an alter ego he's a completely different entity. When Rhaast takes over Kayn is gone, he isn't still in there.
3:46 I just hate that they're really not updating the heal vfx on Rhaast's ult, FOR ANY OF HIS SKIN. That's still the old heal vfx that was used by Tryndamere, Alistar, and the Heal summoner spell as well.
Dude chill it's not about Kayn it's for clarity of gameplay, for you to know what's happening to your enemy. Healing mechanic is coded with color green so it'll never change in any champion's skin. Check coven Nami's W, any Ahri skin passive, Trydamere Q or any Master Yi skin W animations for example. Yeah this color code sucks in some skins but its needed actually

I can't actually believe they pulled a true damage ekko on this one. absolutely incredible, i can listen to music without having to open spotify, only downside is having to stay idle...
I think the best part about Kayn's legendaries is that in BOTH he's friends with/close with Rhaast. Such a cool 180 from their usual parasitic relationship, honestly makes the character 1000x times more interesting.

Just my opinion but I believe that in this Skin Line Rhaast is actually a split personality of Kayn. Usually, it shows that Kayn and Rhaast are 2 beings in one body and always fight for control but this time it's like an alternate personality situation

I honestly don't like the fact when you pick Rhaast he only have a few lines while most of the sounds are Kayn. While in Shadow Assassin Rhaast not says a thing. It makes sense it other skins but here.... They should either make that in both transformations you can keep to listen to both of them or just keep only one of them after it.
I don't like the fact that Rhaast isn't anymore a monster but it feel like Kayn with different voice. I see community that appreciate it so... My personal opinion
His shadow form feels like such an afterthought in this skin and it's a real shame. I think they thought really hard about what to do with rhaast and his base skin which admittedly look solid and forgot that kayn has two forms. It's even more evident when you realize his shadow form doesn't even show up in the heartsteel music video. Overall, it's alright if all you play is red kayn but I personally think kayn has much better skins especially odyssey and snow moon.
Skin needs music playing while in E, other music skins like KDA Akali, KDA Eve, and True damage Senna have music playing during an continuous basic ability but none of them were even legendary skins. True damage Ekko which was legendary has music playing all the time replacing summer rift default theme and the music would change/adapt when he used abilities. Currently with this skin Music only plays while Kayn is standing still (which never happens ingame) or when he is using his ultimate. this skin seems quiet in comparison to the previous standard
I think it would be better if Rhaast in the emotes would be the one doing the voicelines at that point cause it's kind of funny how he keeps going to Kayn back to Rhaast
kinda wished there was a different ult effect instead of just a scythe in the air. like how odyssey kayn ult shows their face in hologram for all forms. but still satisfied with every detail they put into this skin.
I love this skin, but a few things that need to be fixed: - Volume of the track that plays when in walls (if it's even there - I could be hearing things) - Kayn's voice in Rhaast's emotes (not the "together" lines obviously) - Clarity of the audio on Rhaast's R
The effects are all over the place and the sfx is way too loud, the colors are lousy and make it so your ult is nerfed (no surprise factor, it points the exit direction), half of the animation rigs are from Odyssey and there it feels way smoother, and the worst of it all: there's no Rhaast
His Q looks kinda funky and it's because kayn is always behind his Q fx. This is simply an error by rendering said effects on top of his character and shouldn't be too hard to solve but i think it'd make a huge difference (i dont really expect riot to add new voicelines for even tho that's he best part of odissey and the main selling point of a kayn legendary but i hope they at least solve this vfx error).
If E had music And Ult was as cool as Odyssey It would be better Heartsteel has better vfx overall But Odyssey’s models and THE COOLEST ULT EFFECT Tops it

Why does the voice of Kain and not Rhaast sound when playing animations in Darkin form? although in the Odyssey skin in Darkin form we hear Rhaast, not Kain.

@@69hahafunny you're mistaken twice. 1- being wrong it's an absolute state, it can't be "more" or "most" 2- it literally has less custom animations than odyssey compared to the base skin and re-uses many of them. Specially visible in Shadow form (that W is Odyssey frame by frame)

Yes this is Pre-Release, I know, and these are just my opinions and thoughts. Rhaast's W looks really odd, the scythe drags across the ground and goes up (as expected), then suddenly is back down so he can strum the guitar, changing the direction of the guitar from up to down in a single frame like that makes it seem like he should have snapped his own arm with the sudden change of momentum. SA W just straight up disappears, like the clone is there for one second, and the next it's just gone, no animation, nothing, it's just gone the next frame, even BASE Kayn (SA form obviously) has an animation of sorts, where the clone becomes a shadow and then disappears, and his other legendary (Odyssey, which came out 5 whole years ago by the way) also makes it seem like his W "sinks" into the ground, after spinning a bunch. The R's looks good at first, but when actually paying attention to them they also look really weird, especially Rhaast's R. On all of them the Scythe is over the enemy's head (obviously), then it's suddenly at the ground to "pick up" Kayn, carry him back up where he does a pose, then it is suddenly back down at the ground where Kayn "slides" out. On both his base skin, and Odyssey, the scythe is at the top, then physically moves down and slices through the enemy, while here it's over their head, then suddenly at the ground to go back up, then suddenly at the ground again and slides out. Rhaast is especially "bad", he goes from the top, to suddenly be at the ground and literally just slides out, that doesn't seem like it would hurt anyone, especially going with the head of the scythe first. Oh and the dance, that horrible dance, again this is my opinion of course, but what on earth is that dance? Base Kayn has a better dance, Odyssey has a much better dance. He's supposed to be in a music group, they do music videoes, they're (probably) on stage every now and then (or at least will be, assuming they do well in this "world"). Why is he just standing there? He doesn't do any moves, he doesn't dance, he doesn't run around, he doesn't do ANYTHING but slightly move his arm back and forth. And then my last "real" complain (have many other nitpicks), the back animation... They all start the exact same way, and the lasers look so off, like I assume they were going for the same effect as in the music video where Kayn where jumping through lasers, but they're all on the ground, he's not jumping through anything, just over them, they look so flat. It would be nice if the lasers where actually "3D", and at least some variation in the running and jumping between the forms. At least the very last piece of the animation is different, where they all do a little thing then pose. But even the 3 forms of base Kayn has more varied backs, and his other legendary skin, Odyssey (which again, came out 5 years ago) has COMPLETELY different backs.
Hoping they make it so the Heartsteel skins have a joined dance animation like Yone and Yasuo's default. Two or more HS skins dance emoting together to add to the song would be sick. Like they've done with Dead by Daylight's Legion addons with the stacking music. Rioto please.
this skin is great, but the one thing that bothers me is the hair on the model (base kayn) since it doesnt really match what we saw in the mv/splash art
I haven't seen anyone talking about it but in his blue form his hair and scythe has iridicent color while passive is active (ig it was on cooldown before the ult but got refreshed after it). Looks really cool
I love him and akali's dynamic. It's definitely great seeing their relationship develop in this universe. I do have to say though, is it just me or does shadow assassin kayn's visuals look like a huge downgrade from base form? I really hope Riot improves it somehow. Maybe lose the long hair, or just shorten it? And give him more fashion than just being topless since he looks exactly like his base skin's shadow assassin form. Might even go so far as to say his shadow assassin looks worse than his base skin. But still, this skin is great. I'm happy to see a rhaast form I could definitely play without worrying about the lore.
i think the assasssin just dont have the same amount of details, he basically didnt show up at the music video. about the hair they can't realy change it since its a rule that they cant change the siluet of the champ. srry for bad english

I don't like the fact that Rhaast isn't anymore a monster but it feel like Kayn with different voice. I see community that appreciate it so... My personal opinion
His shadow form feels like such an afterthought in this skin and it's a real shame. I think they thought really hard about what to do with rhaast and his base skin which admittedly look solid and forgot that kayn has two forms. It's even more evident when you realize his shadow form doesn't even show up in the heartsteel music video.
Overall, it's alright if all you play is red kayn but I personally think kayn has much better skins especially odyssey and snow moon.
Skin needs music playing while in E, other music skins like KDA Akali, KDA Eve, and True damage Senna have music playing during an continuous basic ability but none of them were even legendary skins. True damage Ekko which was legendary has music playing all the time replacing summer rift default theme and the music would change/adapt when he used abilities. Currently with this skin Music only plays while Kayn is standing still (which never happens ingame) or when he is using his ultimate. this skin seems quiet in comparison to the previous standard

I think it would be better if Rhaast in the emotes would be the one doing the voicelines at that point cause it's kind of funny how he keeps going to Kayn back to Rhaast

It’s always exciting when Kayn gets a legendary skin
kinda wished there was a different ult effect instead of just a scythe in the air. like how odyssey kayn ult shows their face in hologram for all forms. but still satisfied with every detail they put into this skin.
this is a need, not a want
I love this skin, but a few things that need to be fixed:
- Volume of the track that plays when in walls (if it's even there - I could be hearing things)
- Kayn's voice in Rhaast's emotes (not the "together" lines obviously)
- Clarity of the audio on Rhaast's R
ngl. this skin is the best one for kayn so far. the amount of effects, sounds and animations they put are so much and sooooo goooood.
I personally think oddsey is the best i feel like this one has some lost potential
The effects are all over the place and the sfx is way too loud, the colors are lousy and make it so your ult is nerfed (no surprise factor, it points the exit direction), half of the animation rigs are from Odyssey and there it feels way smoother, and the worst of it all: there's no Rhaast
L take odyssey is way better. I personally hate his shadow form for this and rhaast's comically large horns are kind of annoying.

His Q looks kinda funky and it's because kayn is always behind his Q fx. This is simply an error by rendering said effects on top of his character and shouldn't be too hard to solve but i think it'd make a huge difference (i dont really expect riot to add new voicelines for even tho that's he best part of odissey and the main selling point of a kayn legendary but i hope they at least solve this vfx error).
i used to hate going red kayn cause i didnt want to kill the guy. now they make this skin and i can play red kayn again!!

Why does the voice of Kain and not Rhaast sound when playing animations in Darkin form? although in the Odyssey skin in Darkin form we hear Rhaast, not Kain.

1- being wrong it's an absolute state, it can't be "more" or "most"
2- it literally has less custom animations than odyssey compared to the base skin and re-uses many of them. Specially visible in Shadow form (that W is Odyssey frame by frame)

Yes this is Pre-Release, I know, and these are just my opinions and thoughts.
Rhaast's W looks really odd, the scythe drags across the ground and goes up (as expected), then suddenly is back down so he can strum the guitar, changing the direction of the guitar from up to down in a single frame like that makes it seem like he should have snapped his own arm with the sudden change of momentum.
SA W just straight up disappears, like the clone is there for one second, and the next it's just gone, no animation, nothing, it's just gone the next frame, even BASE Kayn (SA form obviously) has an animation of sorts, where the clone becomes a shadow and then disappears, and his other legendary (Odyssey, which came out 5 whole years ago by the way) also makes it seem like his W "sinks" into the ground, after spinning a bunch.
The R's looks good at first, but when actually paying attention to them they also look really weird, especially Rhaast's R.
On all of them the Scythe is over the enemy's head (obviously), then it's suddenly at the ground to "pick up" Kayn, carry him back up where he does a pose, then it is suddenly back down at the ground where Kayn "slides" out.
On both his base skin, and Odyssey, the scythe is at the top, then physically moves down and slices through the enemy, while here it's over their head, then suddenly at the ground to go back up, then suddenly at the ground again and slides out.
Rhaast is especially "bad", he goes from the top, to suddenly be at the ground and literally just slides out, that doesn't seem like it would hurt anyone, especially going with the head of the scythe first.
Oh and the dance, that horrible dance, again this is my opinion of course, but what on earth is that dance?
Base Kayn has a better dance, Odyssey has a much better dance.
He's supposed to be in a music group, they do music videoes, they're (probably) on stage every now and then (or at least will be, assuming they do well in this "world").
Why is he just standing there? He doesn't do any moves, he doesn't dance, he doesn't run around, he doesn't do ANYTHING but slightly move his arm back and forth.
And then my last "real" complain (have many other nitpicks), the back animation...
They all start the exact same way, and the lasers look so off, like I assume they were going for the same effect as in the music video where Kayn where jumping through lasers, but they're all on the ground, he's not jumping through anything, just over them, they look so flat.
It would be nice if the lasers where actually "3D", and at least some variation in the running and jumping between the forms.
At least the very last piece of the animation is different, where they all do a little thing then pose.
But even the 3 forms of base Kayn has more varied backs, and his other legendary skin, Odyssey (which again, came out 5 years ago) has COMPLETELY different backs.

I haven't seen anyone talking about it but in his blue form his hair and scythe has iridicent color while passive is active (ig it was on cooldown before the ult but got refreshed after it). Looks really cool

I love him and akali's dynamic. It's definitely great seeing their relationship develop in this universe.
I do have to say though, is it just me or does shadow assassin kayn's visuals look like a huge downgrade from base form? I really hope Riot improves it somehow. Maybe lose the long hair, or just shorten it? And give him more fashion than just being topless since he looks exactly like his base skin's shadow assassin form. Might even go so far as to say his shadow assassin looks worse than his base skin.
But still, this skin is great. I'm happy to see a rhaast form I could definitely play without worrying about the lore.
i think the assasssin just dont have the same amount of details, he basically didnt show up at the music video. about the hair they can't realy change it since its a rule that they cant change the siluet of the champ. srry for bad english
@@danielpereira5214 I think I could live with the hair. But the shadow assassin form does lose a lot of the detail. I wish they didn't take away so much from it since it just looks like a topless kayn (which it technically is).

The only bad thing is the delay of the ult, it gives more room for someone to use zhonnyas, barrier or etc.
