I am amazed by the flawfless organization you keep in that beautiful coloring room! 😍 And you are so tidy even in doing swatches! It's such a well-loved space, and soooo beautiful coloring supplies. I would like to ask, if you have spare time, could you please make a video all about your irojiten pencils collction, swatches and their characteristics?🙏🏾 I could not find much about them on youtube 🥺 but I am so curious to learn more about, because they are hardly ever available in my country (not as hard as the Felissimo though) but I love all Japanese coloring stuff 😩 🥺

Thank you so much, my dear Ariel!! Your sweet and kind comments are very much appreciated. I can see about doing a video about irojiten pencils. It won't be this month...but maybe next month, I'll mark it on my list. What I can tell you about the Irojiten pencils are that they have really lovely color selections. They are hard pencils and when you color with them, they are easy to build the color up and blend. The negative thing about them is that they are so fragile to sharpen and color with! I don't know if it's because of how they are packaged and shipped but sometimes I would color and the core would just break and fall off. I would use super glue to try to salvage it. It's also hard to sharpen without the core crumbling. But wow, I typed a lot lol! I hope this helps a little because I'm still not sure when I can get this video together. I agree, the colors look so wonderful... I am always on a hunting for neutral, muted tones which relate to natural colors and they must be perfect. Thank you so much, Ana! Are you asking about the pencil cases? They're all from Amazon, most of mine are the brand BTSKY but they also have them under different names. They come in 72, 120, 160 slots cases and they now come with different designs to choose from. I like using them because they take up less space when it's open and they open like a book. I'm sorry I don't have the links to the stores I bought the Colleen pencils from on Etsy or Ebay anymore but I do know that if you search the Colleen colored pencils 120 set on ebay you will be able to get many selections. I believe that there were some for about $76-90 range but also depends on their S&H. You can find it on Amazon but it cost more than what you'll find on Ebay. I hope that helps. You're welcome and thank you for watching, Yolanda! I actually just finished one book so far and it is the Astro-Inklings from Tanya Bond. It was printed on Amazon paper and I colored half the illustrations on that paper. The other half I copied onto cardstock and I have it all in a folder with sleeves. I do still have the book in my collection. I think the books that I probably will not keep when I finish with them are my color by number books, not the Disney ones though lol! I've been a collector of different kinds of books but if you want to keep your collection small to books you would want to keep, I would definitely keep the hardcover books like Hanna Karlzon or the 10x10 books from Kerby Rosanes or Eriy. Or even story books like JB's Ivy and the Inky Butterfly. Or books not meant to be coloring books but we like to color in like The Ink House or 100 Hugs. Can you tell me where you got those Japanese coloring books? I live in central TX, and the Kinokuniya Bookstore that finally opened up here is very limited compared to the ones in California and NYC. 🥺 Amazon isn't too great, either.
Next time I visit my family in Tokyo, I will definitely look for them!!
Hello Leonarda! I actually purchased a majority of my Japanese coloring books from Amazon Japan. It is really easy to purchase from them and it usually arrives within a week. For me, I don't purchase Japanese coloring books on Etsy because it is less expensive to get it straight from Amazon Japan. Sometimes, Amazon.com will have Japanese books available on prime. I just search Japanese coloring books and it's the same for Korean and Chinese. Sometimes it is available there.
Japan is beautiful!! Hopefully everything going on especially with the pandemic, will calm down by the time you go to visit your family. There are so many stores to visit there too lol!
