The Tamron 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 RXD is the longest telephoto zoom that the manufacturer currently offers for the mirrorless lens range for the Sony E-mount system. This is going to be a lens that will be suitable for sports and wildlife but will be a great lens for anyone just starting out on their photographic journey. It has full compatibility with Sony's features like Eye-AF and the stabilization of the camera body (if you're camera has in-body stabilziation).

I'm using it and this len is super good for me when I shooted street life photos.
It certainly is capable of getting some good shots!

What do you think of Sigma 100 - 400? I'm weighing option with don't 70-300, Sigma and this one! Which one do you recommend for me? I do landscape photography mainly and may be here and there bird photography!
The sigma looks like a solid option! I do prefer that one with regard to image quality but it is quite heavy and has a lower aperture for low light.

Lol, I’m always listening out for it now.
It’s a shame they didn’t include a lock on the lens to avoid zoom creep. It can really annoying when you’re walking around a lot.
I had the Sony 100-400 and the zoom creep drove me mad. It had a tightness dial, but even when on the highest tightness it would fall down almost straight away. I bought the 200-600 as it had more reach for birds, but if the 100-400 didn’t creep like it did I might’ve kept it too as the iq was top notch and autofocus was stellar.
It really is! I would have expected it on this lens. I wouldn't have thought it would be that hard to put it in this lens. Haha I do miss using the 100-400mm. It was such a good lens but I find the 200-600mm so useful.
