  • Hey !
In this video, I show you the 51 tallest buildings in New York (City) + some skyscrapers under construction. All of them are ranked by roof height.
Unsurprisingly, most of the tallest buildings are located in Manhattan, in Midtown and Downtown areas.
The most famous are : Empire Sate Building, One World Trade Center & all the complex, Chrysler Building and Rockefeller Center.

This video is wonderful, BUT, Jersey City is in New Jersey, not New York. You've show multiple buildings in New Jersey. Thank you for the video!

THE VIDEO'S TITLE "(THE 51 TALLEST BUILDING'S IN NEW YORK)" 30 HUDSON STREET, IN JERSEY CITY, IS NOT IN NEW YORK. IT'S ACROSS THE HUDSON RIVER, IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY.

I know that and I even mentioned in my video that's the building is in Jersey City. This skyscraper is counted as a bonus because it's near Manhattan. And in my video the 51 tallest building are all in NYC, the others are considered as bonuses, it can be skyscrapers under construction or located in New York urban area but just outside NY City Limits like 30 Hudson Street. I also mentioned all this at the beginning of my video.

Just for positive and polite help, at the end of the video, you say "50 of the 51 tallest buildings are located in Manhattan". Correction: one of them was located in Long Island City Queens, another in Brooklyn, and at least two of the buildings were located in New Jersey! In addition, the Council On Tall Buildings, located in Chicago, is the world authority on the official heights of tall buildings, and recognized worldwide. According to them, Spires that are part of the permanent architectural design of the building must be included in the building's official height. Antenna's however, (as they can be removed and replaced) do not count. The list, while fun, is generally subjective, after all, how can you not count the top of the Chrysler building, the understated but beautiful spire on One Vanderbilt, or the huge and magnificent spire atop the One World Trade Center? It's like saying to the Architects "Sorry, but what you've designed, constructed and had many engineers build, doesn't count" Like it's not even there! But, thank you again for a fun video. (I had some time to kill!) 😀👍

Thanks for the comment. But in my video, I specified that the top 51 are completed or topped out skyscrapers in New York City. All other skyscrapers, so under construction, destroyed or located outside NYC are considered as a bonus. And among these bonuses, I wanted to mention skyscrapers in Jersey City, because it's part of New York Metro Area, it's only 1.5 miles from the core of NYC Financial District. In summary, in total in my video I've showed 61 skyscrapers (the 51 + 10 bonus). Concerning the height, I know that officially spire are included, but I think it's unfair for many reasons. First, the antenna like the one on the top of the ESB is not included in the official height, while the one on the top of the WTC 1 is included, just because the last one is considered as a spire, but both in reality look the same... And generally antenna stay on the top of the building, so why it's less important than spire? Otherwise, generally spire are very very thin and less imposing compared to the size of the roof. So I prefer to rank skyscrapers by roof height, it's the most important for me. But at least for each building, I still mentioned the height of the spire or antenna to complete the description. I hope my explanations are clear, because English is not my first language.

@@PassionVille96I WANTED THEM TO BUILD THE FREEDOM TOWER 1,776 FEET TO ROOF HEIGHT, AND THEN PUT THE 408 FOOT SPIRE ON TOP. I WAS DISAPPOINTED THE WAY THEY DID IT. THE TALLEST BUILDING IN AMERICA AND THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE IS, THE NORDSTRUM BUILDING, AKA, THE CENTRAL PARK TOWER, 1,550 FEET TALL.
