Many Americans are filing for unemployment while Veterans are homeless, meanwhile illegal immigrants are having hotels being paid. You see why Americans are upset?

What will be done with Legal immigration? The backlogs at the embassies for interviews are ridiculous. I have been waiting nearly 2 years for an IR1 interview for my husband. How do they plan to rectify this?
That's part of the COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM that Biden proposed. That's why it must be comprehensive. People must advocate for comprehensive immigration reform. DACA and Farmers is simply not enough.
In the proposed comprehensive immigration reform plan there are 500,000 in back log that they want to pass through. This immigration reform thing must be comprehensive. No ifs ands or buts.
That is definitely a good idea. Even though I am waiting in the wind too.

@@Abelitro Dum idea on my part. I would like to think that by removing the cartels from the equations via legalized drugs that the politicians would be able to get down to the problem. However, I think they prefer to throw mud in each other's faces than solving immigration problems.

Because taxpayers have to pay to educate the " unaccompanied minors " which we understand that their parent or parents paid to smuggle the child/children across the border they children definitely will take away funds from American children because the illegal children have to learn English, learn to pass state exams, get food stamps, free health insurance, and housing. im in the us fortwenty five years my son who was born here is fifteen. None of the past administrations came up with an immigration reform plan to pick us up. Now I am dissabled due to a stroke i had a year ago. I paid taxes all these years and. My case for green card was closed in 2002 for unknown resons of the administration at that time. How do I apply or get info to get my citizenship.

It would make more sense to kerb illegal immigration by making legal immigration more attractive. If you reduce wait times and decision making times, wouldnt that make persons more likely to go this route than the illegal route?

Nothing happens and moves forward in near future as long as filibuster exists and comes in the way except for some minor reforms here and there with relation to Dreamers, Agriculture workers, H4 B work permits, H1 B quota increases, removal of country wide caps for green cards .. etc etc.

The surge at the border has to be stopped as this constant flow will hurt any chances of reform. This whole Central America migrant surge has to be stopped permanently to get a dialogue started
