The problem with JSU is not the coaches or players, its the fans with extremely high expectations way to early. Coaches Sanders has brought new life into HBCU football and he has began to change things at JSU. The hardest thing is dealing with past history, recruiting and coaching a team up during a covid crisis. JSU will be fine, if you watched JSU play and come away thinking the QB is the problem youre hating hes far from it. If you think its the other son, youre close to bring a hater he is not the biggest issue
@Peter S. the players he recruited are in their freshman season. You’re expecting him to turn things around over night. Most rebuilds takes 2-3 seasons due to having the recruits you bring in til their So. Jr. season to be good and know how things are ran.

Whats even crazier, is that even in the early stage where our team was at when this game was played, we should've won.

JSU need to get better on the o line in order to win these type of games cause this defense played well enough to win this game and showed they can compete with lower level FBS. Deion still got the guys needed to win his conference this year.
Reading comments I see people must not know about ULM. ULM have punched plenty power 5 schools in the mouth & won. They not no pushover school. What this game tells me is JSU is on the right path.

Those dudes go to La Tech or elsewhere and on top of that the previous HC sucked donkey dick. Terry Bowden is taking over a team that was lost in previous years. Gonna be a rebuild, but as a student Im just happy we won.

You win & lose as a team, but its unacceptable to lose off 4 fgs the offense has to take responsibility for that "L" get back to work + the coordinator need to come up with a better offensive game plan

@@tyowens7481 They just need the right coach. You don't always have to get 4 and 5 stars to build a program. I use to think that until UCF, SMU, UAB, ULL and other growing programs showed you can build if you know how to develop players properly. I'm a Louisiana resident born and raised so I route for all the college programs in Louisiana, not just LSU.
@@onepunchpelican5701 Same here man, I live in Ruston so I root for the Dawgs as well and of course LSU as well as everyone else to some degree. Only team I dislike is Lafayette tho..😂but you’re totally correct and there is enough talent in LA to start building a good roster. I think they have found the right guy in Coach Bowden and he seems to have his guys bought in from what Ive seen at practice(I film for the team) so hopefully they can start piecing it together and building consistency!

From my observation i do not think Shreuder is a very good quarterback. He can read defenses but has no real dual threat ability to help with running game or great arm talent when trapped in the pocket something is missing from his game. It could be leadership im not sure.Sometimes the quarterback has to be that dude to get points on the board. They are playing uninspired football even with the defense balling out.

Such terrible ball security. Really bad QB play. Sheduer looked back to his old self like week one. Bad ball security, hoppy bad feet in the pocket, throwing off balance without any zip due to falling away and not driving the ball, not getting the ball out of his hand, all around miserable bad. Defense is dominant though. And really the O-line didn't look that bad. Run the ball!
Sanders throw a good ball just have to go through his progression quicker.
