- This is the Extra Stage theme from Touhou 6: the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil
I've always thought that EoSD was the most oriental-sounding out of all of the soundtracks. Which is funny, considering how Remilia is a Western-style vampire. This is one of those tracks where I feel no arrangement can truly capture the essence that this theme emits. It's really wonderful. It does sound very magical, too. - Hudba

Certain stages in EoSD have an eastern feel but I think the Eastern feel is more of stage 1 and its boss, stage 3 and its boss, and the extra stage of EoSD. It does have some Eastern elements, but the most Eastern one would probably be another game. IN has Eastern feelings in it. I think that would be another candidate. Either way it's just a matter of what.

@Yaowy It’s a reference to “And then there were none”. A poem in it reads how 10 soldier boys die and the final line “And then there were none”. The book is a murder mystery that has 10 characters die in the way these solider boys do and of course, the antagonist is a person named UN Owen.

I read the poem, then the book, then watched the live action adaptation. It was really well made. Then i found Touhou. Damm I got into this series over a old 1940s book. Funny how the world works

My journey on touhou started with EoSD. I feel so warmth hearing this. It makes me want to go back only to have this awesome experience again. This game is so nostalgic, the themes on this game are nostalgic, the characters on this game are nostalgic, I just love EoSD.

I always think of extra stage themes as a second theme for the mid boss. In this case, this just reminds me of the horrifying magic that Patchouli possesses....
Royal Flare is probably Patchouli's coolest- looking attack, however.
Scratch that. It's the coolest- looking attack in the entire Extra Stage.
Extra stage Patchouli... You're an absolute nightmare. Especially in comparison to EX Keine, EX Kanako and EX Sanae. Only Midboss Nue from TD can really be compared to your sheer terror. ;-;

Wait, it’s an even BETTER theme! 1:03 and everything afterwards including the trumpet are just…WOW! I think that this is pretty underrated, and is my favorite stage theme in the game! This pumps me up so much. This has to be a Top 5 theme in the game.
Also, I don't know why but 1:34 and onwards really sounds like a super duper fun festival and i LOVE IT!

i'm extremely late and you probably already know this but zun makes his music in some old cubase version
ZUN made his Koumakyou OST fully with the help of SD-90. Starting from Youyoumu, he found a DAW - Cubase.

i might be missing something but silent selene is pretty simple and royal flare is a pattern, philosopher's stone i only managed to capture once and it felt like pure RNG

Well what I learned was each stone has a pattern. Realistically it's very taxating. In fact, it's overwhelming! However, you have to slow down and piece together the patterns of each elemental stone. I can't remember the exact pattern, but they all fire in different ways with some of them static and some of them loosely following the player and some even sharply following you. Once I heard about this , it became remarkably easier, but don't put your guard down for even a second!!! If you do the spellcard is ruthless and will shuffle you around faster than the world's fastest rubix cube solver.
Besides in like fighters, you shouldn't be predictable. Don't be predictable for the philosophers stone
