What's frustrating, even though they showed a lot of fight, there were a lot of dumb decisions and penalties. How could they clean up those dumb plays? If they do, they can win game 6 at home.

“Bend not break” is a great philosophy and you feel that Dallas had no answer for MacKinnon and Macar this game. More is required from the other Avalanche lines to stay in this series.

Great win for the avs. Dont really have any doubt the stars can close this after last night, they are a really good response team and they didnt seem too shaken last night.. There was one play prior to dallas first pp that was just a minute straight of cycling and making the as look absolutely silly. THey just need to do that and not let in soft goals, but that is easier said than done .
Avs went hard, bounces went their way and the capitalized on the pp .If Oettinger played somewhat decent this series would have been over. A couple of those goals there was no stopping it with traffic but some were real soft and shouldnt have gone in. Either way avs staved off elimination and the top players stepped up. Lets get ready for game 6.

Dallas had won 3 in a row, winning 4 in a row is difficult in this league.

If Colorado can clean up the penalties and stop drawing up all the complicated white board plays and just play Hockey. This entire Series Dallas has dictated how the ice is tilted. Just play Hockey, put shots on net and play defense. Change is the KeyWord and moving forward I look forward to see how the Avs come out now the Series comes back to Colorado
Avs are not that good. Not deep enough, relying on mainly first line. Stars in 6 or 7.
They looked like the deeper team tonight. This will be fun

Depth is fine. I guess, you mean quality of those other lines? Well, I think they are fine sometimes, but agree, production could be hard to come by those other lines. It was encouraging to see Midlestadt's goal. He also had another chance. We need more production from Colton and Woods. Where is Walker? Trenin got injured so interesting whether he comes back.
Avs could be up in this series only if they showed fight and effort in game 2 and 4. Besides effort they got away with dumb decisions, bad penalties, and other unforced errors. If they clean those up, they have a chance in game 6. I doubt they can clean that up though. Toews and Manson, one can count on them for at least one bad decision or turnover in a game. The rest also take dumb penalties. How can they take multiple penalties in offensive zone like Drouin, Mikko did for example? I hope they can put it together at home for one more time.
