How to get fruit OFFLINE ONLY mode | Animal Crossing: New Horizons

- How do I get all fruit in Animal Crossing: New Horzions without a nintendo online membership? If you're playing ACNH offline and don't have friends to play local with either, this is going to be a challenge. So how do I get cherries, apples, pears, peaches, oranges and coconuts? In today's quick video I'll show you. It’s worth noting that it is likely you will only be able to achieve 4 out of the 6 fruit in offline only mode.
It starts at the beginning. Let's reference back to yesterdays speedrun to 3 stars. When I first arrived to my island, my native fruit was pears. After an in-game day or two, I got a letter from Mom with 3 apples in it. This letter from mom will always contain a fruit not native to your island.
After my 3 star island speedrun, I felt it was time to relax and enjoy the island a little bit. I want to Able SIsters, changed up my look and decided it would be fun to go on some Mystery Island Tours. I wanted to pick up some coconuts, which are guaranteed to be found on the Mystery Island beaches.
Using the Mystery Island Tour Guide from data miner, Ninji, most of the time you're going to land on islands with your native fruit. There is a 9% chance of landing on "Sister Fruit Island" - this mystery island fruit will always be the same fruit. There is a chance that this quote on quote, "sister fruit" will be different from the fruit mom mailed you at the start of the game. Unfortunately, there is also a chance that the fruit mom sent you will be the same as this mystery island sister fruit. In my last play through, Mom sent me the sister fruit in the mail. I was so disappointed, I reset my game. I want as much fruit as possible in offline mode.
I'm not sure what the odds are on this happening, but as you saw earlier, on this particular island, Mom sent me apples, my native fruit are pears, and here we are on my sister fruit Island, and it's oranges!
So let's head back to my island and take stock of which fruits we were able to gather in offline only mode.
1. Native Fruit (Pears)
2. Mom Fruit (Apples)
3. Mystery Island Palm Trees (Coconuts)
4. Mystery Island Sister Fruit (Oranges)
Now, 4 out of the 6 total possible fruits is pretty good. In all likelihood I will never get cherries or peaches on this island. But, I'm suspicious that their may be a very small random chance that a villager could potentially give you a fruit as a gift. I vaguely remember this happening, but I certainly could be wrong and don't want to mislead you. Instead, I ask you, has a villager ever gifted you a non-native fruit? Let me know down in the comments.
The most important take-away from this video is that your mystery island sister fruit will never change. It will 100% of the time be either your native fruit, or your sister fruit. I'm looking at you King Clark. I wasted so much time when I first started playing animal crossing trying to find other fruits on Mystery Islands. I'm making this video to save you time and not be fooled like I was. - Hry
if you're interested, i had a villager come into my house today and gift me a fruit--that was non-native, non-sister, non-mom fruit. my native is apples, sister is peaches, and mom sent me oranges. the villager gave me a single cherry after i talked to him a second time inside my house.
more background:
- i have this villager at max friendship--he gave me his photo a week ago
- to get him to max friendship, i have been gifting 3 wrapped non-native fruits a day. i don't know if these gifts store in his ability to give them back to me, which could have been why he gave it to me, but i've also gotten gifts from him that i definitely did not give him first, so it could be coincidental.
i don't know when villagers start coming into your home, but it could be a potential way to access another fruit.
I’ve had a villager give me a cherry but cherries are my sister fruit. I’m pretty sure it was either a lazy or jock villager. Probably Kevin. It happened *months* ago. They come to your house via knocking on your door when you get a really good friendship rating with them. The rating is invisible but you can raise it by giving them a crap load of gifts and talking to them consistently so they don’t move out or anything

The unicorn called Julien/Julian gave me an apple, and my native fruit is a pear. I gues it was my sister-fruit because a week later, I reached an island with apple trees.

Well, you could have just said it’s impossible instead of making a 10 minute video saying it’s a challenge when you can only get 4 fruit in offline mode.
Not all that challenging at least not if you pop over to a friends island with all 6 fruits and get what you need when they click I want visitors and you click I wanna fly and it goes a lot faster that way.
@@Megz1794 well thats the whole point of the video, OFFLINE means not having friends to play with (witch is online) so we cant just go get the fruit for someone else. Or else we would have already done that
You can get the remaining fruits from gifts from villagers.
Also, sometimes you are able to bye them from leif.

This is just making me remember how dumb it was of me to not do some research before playing this game. My native fruit is peaches, sister fruit is apples. I'm missing oranges pears and cherries and I no for a fact that I got pears from mom and I didn't know u could plant fruit to get the fruit trees. So I ate them...

What she says is NOT true. I have 5 Switches, 5 islands, 5 different native fruits, started playing at game release, so have been playing 4+ years. On all of my islands, "Mom" sent the secondary fruit, which is the same fruit as on mystery islands. Every visiting animal brings a cherry every time, no matter what the native fruit is. If cherry is already your native or secondary fruit, it's no help to an offline person. And of course you can get coconuts on pretty much every mystery island, so that's no big deal.
yeah, when i started the game, i got a letter from mom and got three peaches. i sold them for nearly nothing. regretting it now because the only fruits i don't have are peaches and pears.💀

I've been to the money rock island at least 7 times, but I haven't been to the sister fruit island even once, even though it's supposed to have a higher probability to get to the sister fruit island.

Today I went on and fauna gave me a apple :) (I only had pears my native fruit, peaches from my mom, cherrys from my cousins island offline, and coconuts) so it was a huge surprise to me she asked if I was home to give that to me

@@opalyasu7159 No idea, im pretty sure its because i give her a lot of attention! plus she was one of my first villagers, and i thought she was amazing so i kept getting her stuff she liked over days and days weeks to months im pretty sure it might happen over a strong bond with a villager OR your first villager(s) bond! im not positive of either of these so dont blame me for anything its just a theory!!

I have oranges as my native fruit, found apples on a random island and pears from a letter from mum (at first I was annoyed because my brother got 3000 bell’s, but I now realise that this was great)
Today, July 7th of 2022, a villager came to my house to visit. They gifted me a fruit, a peach. My native fruit is pears, my sister fruit (which I have yet to find... ugh) is cherries, and my mom gave me oranges. Chalize Baron is right, you can get random fruits as gifts if you're lucky. The pattern seems to be house visits, at least from our two experiences. So, make good friends with your islanders and they may gift you fruit at home!
Also, it was the first time Canberra visited my home. I sometimes give her oranges or coconuts. I believe we are at max friendship.
Before the first year of the game being out I had chadder on my island, and He sent me a GENUINE painting in the mail. It can be crazy
Vic gave me a FAKE rock head statue, and when I tried to give it back, he said to donate it! I sent him it in the mail.
That's normal. They send art all the time. Nothing unusual there.
Unfortunately, the new update does not allow people to buy other fruit from the plaza stores on Harv's Island. The mystery islands only give Oranges and Pears for me. I was hoping that maybe a random island with Kappa's tours would give foreign fruits, but I only get oranges on those islands so far! I only have three fruits: Pears, Oranges and Coconuts. I would love to be able to get Peaches, Cherries and Apples, but I'm a single player(don't want the Nintendo online subscription), so guess I'm out of luck on those three fruits.
I have been getting fruit from my villagers as gifts when they come visit the house. So far only pears (my sister fruit on the island I’m playing on now), but i keep hoping they might give me something else. If they do, i will be sure to post the video on twitter.

Yes, the video is very inaccurate.
Well another way to get the remaining two fruits is, you may need a second switch and a physical copy. Basically you start with the fruit you want and then you use that player to send that fruit to you.
I think Nintendo should make it so it’s possible to get all fruit without the need of a friend or risking yourself at a treasure island. The alternative fruit island should be a random non-native fruit not a “sister” fruit.
They want people to pay money, so we get punished for not paying extra. It's unfortunate because I have apples pears and cherries. My favorite fruit is oranges and I actually really dislike apples and pears irl 💔

@@fmekakckdoaa you don’t techincally have to do the online membership thing to trade you can also pop over to the island or invite visitors to your own and use the I want visitors option that’s how my older sister gave me peaches,apples and oranges for my island and it goes a lot faster than the online play option.
Mom fruit and sister fruit was the same (apples) on my island. But had a villager gift me a peach :) was early on my island, I restarted a few months agi
When I loaded the 2.0 update Zucker visited my house and gave me a cherry (my native fruit is apples and mom's fruit is pears)

I did the same thing, there were a lot of videos and news articles saying that if I kept looking I would find more on mystery islands 😔. Good news is, others are being gifted new fruit from their villagers too - it’s just really rare.

No you can get oranges if you visit someone else’s island one side will say I want visitors then you can go to your airport and click I wanna fly and pop over to the island that pops up after the other person has their gates open or you could invite someone to your island via local play. That’s how me and my first older sister did it and she gave me Peaches,Apples and Oranges for my island it goes a lot faster in my opinion since you don’t need an online account.
All you need is for someone to say I want visitors via local play or for someone to want to come to you and your island.
I think its kinda weird that i never got the non-naitive fruit gift from my mom
My sister barely plays her island and she never actually go far but a villager came into her house which isnt upgraded or anything, with no relationship with the villager and it gave her 3 oranges. So i think eventually villagers give you fruit
You can also pop over to a friends island offline wise if they want visitors on their island that’s how me and my first older sister did it and she gave me peaches,apples and oranges. You both go to the airport and the friend will say I want visitors then you click I wanna fly and you can skip the online play stuff and it’s a lot faster

Has anyone ever had any success with sending fruit to NPCs in the mail? Apparently in previous AC games they would send you a random fruit back. I just tried sending one piece of my native fruit to all my neighbours, we'll see what happens tomorrow.

It doesn't work in acnh. I've tried several times. The villagers will send you gifts (clothes, furniture) sometimes but mostly they complain about your letter because they can't read it. I literally tell them to "send me fruit" and they respond with, "did you have a point?" It's infuriating. Yet I keep trying because it worked in past ac games. Why would they take that out?
Yes my villager gave me an apple like 6 times but I was new to the game and had no idea I could plant them

I have heard from a few online people that you can get them all, it's just really rare via kapp'n islands.
I do know one of my saves I got all fruit except for one. A villager gifted me a fruit I didn't have.
My current save is new and I have apples(mom), peaches(native), oranges(sister), and coconuts. I just unlocked kapp'n tours, so wish me luck.
I vaguely remember in a data mine awhile ago seeing that there are not non-native fruits on the kapp’n islands, but that could be out of date information.
As far as I know, the only way to get non-native fruit outside of the sister fruit, mom fruit and coconuts is through a very rare chance that a villager gifts it to you.
I would've restarted the game but when I built my campsite the 1st that ever came to visit was Raymond and I found that hes rare Until today I still have him hes never leaving Alexandra get 1000 sobs 1 lucky person will win tpersonal Wyndham maybe still far from that goal
So the conclusion is you can only get 4 types of fruit if you play offline (no friends)... 😅😅😅

I tried this multiple times and just kept getting a bag of Bells. So frustrated as I can't trade online and am only missing oranges.
I don't know what her name is in english but a specific villager (The while mouse, in italian we call her Serena) everytime she visits my house she gifts me a peach (my native fruit is pear to). Friendship wasn't maxed and I never gave her any fruit.

My native fruit is cherry and the letter from mums gift was pairs, other than that I've only got coconut, I don't have any friends and don't want to pay the subscription fee for online play
So when I played on my switch account I got pears on my mystery island, but when my boyfriend plays on his account on the same switch he gets peaches. Maybe a way to get more fruits would be to make more than 1 account on your switch playing the same island. A little tedious, but if you're really dedicated to getting all the fruits without online this may be a way. (My wifi is too weak for me to connect to other islands so I've been unable to visit my friend's islands)

I’ve tried on all my side accounts also my main and never got any non native fruit the only other fruits I have are cherry’s(sister fruit) and coconuts but I dont like the fruits I have😩
It appears as though the max fruits you can get offline are 4. The native fruit, the coconut, the sister fruit, and then there is a 3 out of 4 chance that the mom fruit will be different from your sister fruit.

The mom fruit arrives within a day or two of placing your tent at the start of the game. The tough part for me was getting enough NMTs to find out what my sister fruit and if it matched the mom fruit. I had to reset my game after getting through the story a bit to be able to get mom fruit different from my sister fruit.
Are you playing as the main island representative? The side residents will only receive bells in the mail from mom. Only the resident representative (equivalent to mayor in past animal crossing) receives the mom fruit.

Somtimes fruits can come to you island from balloon present or if you go to Harvs island there are chances to get crops and fruits there

You can get fruit from "Mom" through letters, Nook tickets can take you to islands with fruit, and there's the online option of asking other players

But lt would seem you need to buy a membership to get the other fruits buggar it.
Not really sometimes pear trees also appear on mystery islands too if you use nook miles tickets it just takes awhile to find them the only ones that are harder to find if they aren’t native you are mainly peaches and oranges since there are no peaches and oranges trees on mystery islands for certain people. Unless you wanna get like over 100 nook miles tickets and spend a full island jumping lol that’s why I picked pears for the first time I brought back more than 3 of them so I could plant some and have some to eat and now I have endless pears. But pear trees do appear on mystery islands as well they just take a while to find hence when I go to mystery islands airplane wise I learn to bring back like almost 20 things of fruits. The mystery islands just mainly have your native fruits and sometimes cherries,pears or randomly once in a blue moon for some people it’s apples. It depends on your island. There’s a nook miles task that involves planting new fruit trees when you chop them down entirely. There’s also a fruit roots one.

so, I have native oranges, and then I have cherries. i don't remember how i got those, and i got coconut from the islands, but everytime i go to a mystery island... it is the same island...which has the same things on it. it is never a sister fruit, it is always oranges. i have never seen a diff fruit besides oranges.....

It’s actually super easy if you find another person to trade with via local play. One person will do I want visitors via local play then the next person will wait and then do the I wanna fly click the name of the island that pops up and you can trade fruits that way. That’s how me and my first older sister did it and she gave me peaches,apples and oranges for my island.
I only have pears peaches coconuts and apples i need Cherry's and oranges. Wish i had a way to come help you or wish i could mail you some peaches for some oranges i get all these orange recipes to make food but i can't make them

I am 65 and just started this game a month ago because my dog passed away and I was so upset. Because of that my grandson who never played the game but had it on his switch gave me his game to get my mind off my dog. It helps greatly but now I don’t feel complete without having pears and cherries because I keep getting recipes that require them.

Yes I got all the fruit now and came quite a ways since I wrote that post. It’s been a year since my dog passed. Amazing how time flies. He passed March 21 2022.
Yes the game was quite addicting at first for sure but now I have my island pretty much the best I can do so I’ve slowed down a lot on it.
