You ever see a pack of wolves kill 40-50 ungulates in a week and just leave the carcasses except for the livers… now that’s amazing!

@@albertg63Good on you for laughing it off 😂
2 things I love about this wolf:
1st: his light-footed walk
2nd: how he casually walks by as if he didn't notice them
we are not worthy
Predators see vehicles and the people inside of them as one single entity and because of the size of the vehicles they just see them as background objects almost. They're too big to hunt and they know you're not a recognizable danger like a bear. The moment you separate yourself from the vehicle they will usually attack you unless you get lucky.
That is are wolves are. I met one while walking and he just walked in front of me up a hill and that was that

That comedic timing on his roll down, her "don't" and immediate roll up had me hollering. Like he didn't even TRY to defend rolling it down
You can't defend yourself against your own brain sometimes.
'Hey! A giant happy doggo marching down the road! Looks like a huskie. Lets unwind the window.'
People go on safari with much more dangerous animals with open air trucks. Pretty sure having the window down was almost 0 actual danger.
Doesn't make the interaction any less hilarious though 😂
True! how are the people who go to safaris not scared? Either way, I've seen first hand what a cop dog does to a criminal and those are domesticated. I sure most people don't want test their luck with a wolf lmao.
@@SuperCatacata trust you’re only lucky if you’re finding them after a meal. if they’re hungry enough they will risk it. but a safari full of tourists is far more intimidating to any animal than 1-2 people with a nice open window. wild life is not your friend. people get mauled this way just like that bear trend. unless you aren’t in a large group and in a large vehicle just don’t.

The chances a lone wild wolf will attack you is extremely small. There was no danger I could see. To be clear, I have been close to two (different) wolves in the wild.

A professional tracker once told me that one way to tell the difference between wolf tracks and dogs tracks (when the dog looks like a wolf, not like a dachshund), is to watch _how_ they walked. While wolfs walk from A to B and then to C (and can cover distances in one single direction for hundreds, if not thousands of miles), dogs loll around a lot more, deviating from a straight line of direction to sniff something out, or something else. This wolf just proved him right (one example only, I know). That wolf was definitely on the straight and narrow. Hardly even changed the pace. That's wolf for you!

In my lifetime out on the Mojave desert, I have seen one big bad a## mountain lion, one gorgeous bobcat, that I found out is still around and scared the city tourist in the RV park next to me, I pray they didn't hurt it because it never harmed me in the 20+ years I've known of it's existence. Other than that, I have the visit of raccoons and a few coyotes, no more skunks, wonder what happened to them?
They must be serious about not being seen. 60 years and never saw one. I really want to see some Wolves before I die.
A lot of it comes down to being observant. Most animals see humans as a threat and while they are often close by, they go out of their way to not be seen. I have never seen a wolf in the wild, but have seen two bears and a few mountain lions. The reason I saw the one mountain lion was due to deer which kept popping up their heads from eating and looking in a particular direction. Following their gaze, I spotted a large adult mountain lion maybe 400 yards away up the hill observing the deer and me. I had zero idea he was there despite looking at the same hill prior.
And the blinker tapping in time to his paw steps. It's like he's a Clydesdale.
