    Tatum's technical videos are brilliant. He explains speedway like Carl Sagan explains the universe. I wish more of my university professors had been as good as he is at lecturing.

    Carbs!
    Just one more thing to love about speedway racing
    Keeping it so pure and traditional and mainly about the riders’ skills.

    Interesting video Kelvin. It’s long enough to keep your interest and concise enough for you to get the point of the topic.
    I didn’t imagine a speedway bike’s carburettor looking like that. It looks like an expensive piece of kit!

    It is great to see some of the hidden parts of modern speedway machines but I would have liked a little more detail regarding the changes a rider might make during a meeting, why and what?

    There's lots more to know about carbs, too. For example the altitude of the track plays into it. I've also heard that some folks have introduced water into the tank in order to change the power characteristics of the engine. (Nitro does the opposite...but it's banned)
    Cheers

    Methanol fuel normally needs a higher flow jet in the carburettor.

    I’m in need of one of the 38mm carbs. Anyone have one since they are no longer allowed?

  • @TheHypnotstCollector
    @TheHypnotstCollector Před 3 lety +1

    Should be 38mm. Big kids need a big carb.
