    That spotted horse that Ridgey rides is a jewel! And...Ridge has good balance. He can talk 90 miles an hour and stay in rhythm with that horse.....all the boys are good riders...must be cause they have been riding since they were in diapers! You have a good crew. Good job Mom and Dad.

    The bush with red fruit is the desert Wolfberry and is related to the GOJI berry. The fruit is safe to eat and is sweet when fully ripe. I love watching the Anchor Brand Ranch channel and appreciate the wholesome family values and togetherness that is displayed.

    Cramps can be caused by dehydration. Joint pain can also. I'm a dozen or so years older than you, so I know that getting older, 'seasoned' and 'broken in' can also cause aches and pains. There's nothing you can do about changing from 'new model' to a 'classic cruiser'... but you can choose to become a heavy drinker 😂 Drink lots of water. If you wait until you're thirsty to drink water - then you've waited too long.

    TIL -- "Native Americans of the Mojave and western Sonoran Desert routinely used several parts of the Joshua tree as food and fiber. Leaf fibers were occasionally used to bind and manufacture sandals. Root sheaths were woven into baskets to add reddish-brown designs. Fruits were baked or boiled then eaten. Seeds were ground into flour and mixed with flour from other plant species. The flour was moistened with water and the resulting paste was kneaded into cakes and dried. " from the Wiki

I so remember being 9 years old sitting on a spotted white horse named snowball, we were already in the mountains bringing the cattle down, it was a good thing the horse knew what it was doing as I was holding on for dear life.

    19:00 Anderson Thornbush ( Lycium andersoniiIts). common names include water-jacket, redberry desert-thorn, Anderson thornbush, Anderson's desert thorn, Anderson boxthorn, Anderson lycium, Anderson wolfberry, and squawberry. So so cattle feed but it'll help during rough times.

    Best thing I have found for fast cramp relief is pickle juice. For a daily cramp prevention, I use "Trace" bradd Electrolytes-Stamina. Very high in Magnesium, and Potassium. If I take these every day I get no cramps, including those ones between the ribs that you can't stretch out.
    The bushes do appear to be a species of Lycium or Wolf berry. They are a member of the Nightshade family, as are tomatoes, and potatoes. A quick search indicates that the berries of all species are edible, though not all are particularly palatable. Goji berries are also in this family.

    Well ram, i don't want to burst your bubble. But if your cramping, your working. So i guess it must be a movie set. And on another note. At our age. The fastest way to metabolize the most potassium is eat a banana every morning. Them younger kids one might not be enough. But at our age its difficult to out run what you get out of one bannana. I used to eat one during haying season and never had another cramp. And that was back before haying was easy. great content, awesome family. Keep it up.

  • @badgerpa9
    @badgerpa9 Před rokem +4

    The bush you wondered about I think is the box thorn, the fruit hang on it would be goji berries. You should look it up and double check it. The Joshua tree fruit is pretty woody. Cut it up and add some bone broth it is better.
