Woah, That edit was so satisfying 0:32
‘Your keyboard isn’t going to hold you back’
My hp membrane keyboard: well.... there is exceptions
(edited) - that really just made this comment better for me
beats what I've used, as long as it's not broken so keys activate properly it won't hold you back. good attempt at a joke though (if that was your intent)
@@kuma_score7536 um well that’s the problem, when gaming many keys get stuck in the activated position and this gets me killed regularly, as a competitivish player this is annoying, don’t get me started on typos
@@kuma_score7536 membrane keyboards tend to actually hold back fast typers and gamers actually - especially rhythm games since they don't have anti-ghosting or N-key rollover.
HP owns hyperx now

Hey, you're 1 second off everyone else
They made the space bar specifically for Frank since he gave the TKL so much love lol
I bought the tkl Hyper x on his recommendation.
It is a BEAST of a keyboard (programmer)
@@user-zk2iz9by7u aqua or red switches?
@@MarcioSilva-ng4cz I bought the red , but going back I'd get the aqua . A bit better for registering the key strokes while programming with less errors. The red switches are awesome for gaming , super smooth , barely tap it and it registers the key stroke
@@47vuex It’s included.. but I’d recommend buying any of the layouts from the Ducky One 3 series (if you want a good gamer keyboard that also could be an enthusiast budget entry, since it has a hotswap PCB). The hyperX keyboards are a bit dated nowadays
Transition at 0:32 tho 😍😍
got damn thats a smooth one
That's soo clean tho 🤩
Definitely caught me off guard. 😂😂. Id throw in a lil flash to hide the cut a lil better but twas sexy still.
Smooth as Gravy
yes
Been using this keyboard for almost 3 years now and can safely say that it is far and away my favorite mechanical keyboard I have ever used. SUPER easy to clean, easy to move around without worrying about breaking any pieces of because of the solid construction. Absolutely amazing keyboard for the money!
think it’s worth it in 2023? need a new keyboard
@rhec.conner 100% worth the money. Have never had 1 single issue with it, I use it everyday, still my favorite mechanical keyboard I have ever owned!
@@leancuisine6443 thanks ima order it soon what switches it have?
@rhec.conner Mine has the red switches, never got to try the blue ones out to be honest
can u make the wire on this keyboard more long? it looks abit short cuz it looks locked
For anyone wondering about whether this is still a valid option in 2022, I can safely say that it absolutely is, it’s an amazing keyboard that sounds and feels amazing. I extremely recommend
Thanks man I was wondering how it's held up :) might have to get it soon
Same and the white Pudding Keycaps are insane
I’m getting it for Christmas I can’t fucking wait
thanks mine is coming in the next 40 mins and i’m excited
@@h4rzy830 how is it
My mind is blown away. I never knew that typing could feel so good. I believe this is my first ever mechanical keyboard. Also gives me so much more space and feels clean. The quality exceeded my expectations. Awesome review. Thank you! I may upgrade to the Aqua switches once they release that version!
a fat downgrade
Aquas are worse, stay with reds
@@BiggangLova as someone who has aquas after trying reds, i completely recommend aquas
reds are the best cheap/gaming switch so stick with those
Will this work with Mac
Now that the Alloy 60 is out, you gotta do a 60% roundup (and which one is the best)

If the spacebar was sold separately, INSTANT COP!
Would prefer without the hyperx logo on it though.
We not gonna talk about how cold he is at Battlefield???💀
I just got the Alloy Origins Core with the HyperX Red Switches. It feels amazing and the actuation points feel just right. I have tried Cherry mx Speed Silvers and they almost feel too sensitive when I type on it. I 100% recommend this keyboard if you are looking for something pre-built.
I was looking to pick up the keyboard

Anyone else wants a topo keycap set now? Like damn the spacebar is SICK
i feel like it would impossible to read
@@koppy82 no, it would not because hyper x already has bold font on their keycaps so it won't matter, plus the topo is thin. And not like a mesh

the stabs come prelubed now the enter , shift , back , delete keys sound sooo good its almost a enthusiast keyboard now lol
I lubed the stabs and switches on mine and swapped the keycaps to a set of generic POM jellies, it's up there with my enthusiast hotswap board for sure now lmao. I love typing on it.
HyperX, make it 65% and I swear I will get it.
Make it 65% and hot swappable and I will get it.
I bet that will happen, sometime this year, or early next year.

Holy shit the production quality is crazy man. good work
I just bought the tkl version cause it went on sale and I'm loving it! Just wish it came with PBT caps instead of ABS (although they are decent).

HyperX should make a double-shot PBT keycap set with that spacebar.
They should or at least sell the keys seperately
that transition earned my sub... keep up the good content
I recently just bought my first 60% keyboard it’s called a CQ63 it’s not the best and it has pretty bad stabilizers and soldered switches even I think. But I love it, it’s pretty heavy which I like cause it doesn’t move while playing and it feels pretty good quality wise minus the rattly stabilizers it’s smaller and it’s easier to use for gaming and it looks amazing in all white. Hopefully I can get a better one later like a Anne pro 2 or Hunstman Mini.
You can make a bandage mod at the spacebar, the most rattle should go away! I did it myself and its definetly better.
"you have certain speed switches, they're technically faster and more reLIaBlE"
ah yes, it strikes again. Just like in the vid with the tkl version :)
Optical switches are faster and better than traditional mechanical, fact.
@@randomfrankp Better is just preference but they are faster that is a fact.
THANK YOU FOR HITTING ON THE SOFTWARE! I have the Alloy Origins full with Aqua keys. Overall i love it (had it for a year now) but I had to remove the software because all the issues mentioned and the old version was messing up my sleep/wake and other normal computer functions
I have the full size alloy fps. I like it a lot and the keys all feel pretty good for being a mainstream retail board. This new ones seems to follow that same feel.
sry for commenting on comment from year ago but is this keyboard quiet? cuz on the video I can't tell if it's quiet or not
@@blackbeard520 it is

I'm taking my Corsair k65 mini back for one of these within the hour. Get a cooler master control pad, if you can find one, your basically a god when using a 60% dono how I missed this one. Sounds buttery I hope they ain't out of stock
Nice to see they went with PBT caps. I’m got the Origins TKL last month and swapped out the ABS caps for the HyperX Pudding caps
Ignore the aqua switches being better, I've used both on the alloy origins core and the linear reds are NOTICEABLY better. Neither switch is bad, but the reds are just worth the money even more
Do a comparison between HyperX Alloy Origins 60 vs Razer Huntsman Mini fr
razer greens suck
As a Person who uses a gaming keyboard for Autocad, a num pad is essential for me. But I see why the TKL’s are so popular with gamers. Side note, the topo design goes great with my work desk since I’m in the civil/surveying engineering side of things.
They should have made it 65% layout instead of 60% with a standard bottom row
I don’t think people would like a
60 with arrows tbh
@@bobsmith943 who wouldn't ???
60% keycaps are way more common than 65%
@@ali_new_world no I’m talking about a 60% with arrows. Look it up. It has a 1u right shift and delete over there as well as a 2u left shift
@@impartial6119 it is hard to find keycaps that would work with them. In the sense of profiles etc
That transition from box to board was dope.
It took 1 hour
I see your point Frank about the function key! My biggest issue with that is the secondary functions on the keys aren't illuminated. I like to play with the lights off! Full size keyboard for me!
I would stick to my full size keyboard but my desk size is so limited I kinda need a 60%. I keep hitting my mouse on my keyboard 😂

Every time FrankP comes out with a video like this I want to buy it, there’s NO denying it😂
they now offer the aqua tactile switches for this keyboard on there website
Just checked, only reds are available.
@@randomfrankp oh my bad i was looking at the link in description. I think it sends to the wrong keyboard. Not the 60%
although a 60% keyboard really isn't for me I do love how they look. main reason I wouldn't use one is because I like having dedicated macros and I do actually use a numb pad from time to time but for the people who don't need more a 60% just looks amazing and is super portable
I have the same problem as you, but I solved it in this way, first I bought this keyboard but 65% and next i bought a mini keyboard that has all the numb apart, and in that way I can put the numb keyboard in the other side of the table and doesn't touch my mouse when I'm gaming
@@kevinlin1680 I considered that with a TKL keyboard in the past but I didn't have the USB ports to support it at the time and I wasn't a big fan of the keypad having a completely different look and feel to my main keyboard so eventually I ended up settling for a Mountain Everest max although I'm considering getting their EV60 to trial run some time down the line.
Yo frank! You just made my day by uploading! :)

It looks amazing omds I'm so tempted 😫
U gotta do ur update of your fav 60% keyboards and a hyper X alloy origins 60% vs razed huntsman mini
I love the look and size of a 60% keyboard but the lack of arrow keys and function keys that i can instantly press is a big no for me. Thats why i went with a tkl instead. Great vid!
65% board exist, it's slightly bigger than 60% but yea
0:33 DAAAAAANG THAT WAS SMOOTH
I realize 60% keyboards have all the functions with the function key, but I hate having to press one more button to do one task, that's why I love TKLs

TKL keyboards are arguably the best balance... For me at least.. I personally have other uses for my fn key so I'd prefer to keep things such as print screen and insert as their own keys.
are the switches hot-swappable??

What is your computer background? Its so sick with the red and light blue!
My only use for numpad is for use of ASCII code, for when I want to get certain characters that aren't on the keyboard, which is not very often at all.
