Choir kid before concert: *panicked soprano screeching*
DUDE
I AM LITERALLY
THE SCREECHING SOPRANO KID
THE E6 THAT I HAVE TO REACH
OVERWHELMS ME TOO MUCH
*panicked mezzo bellowing*
* PLEASE VISIT MY CHANNEL *, I upload pieces for piano, violin and orchestra, my name is 'Caleb Lackwood M.', I want people to know my music that is my biggest dream and for that I need your help
* PLEASE VISIT MY CHANNEL *
Me before a concert: Hits an E6
Me performing: Oh shit in two measures I have to hit a B5
Cellist have to prepare mentally before playing canon in D
You forgot:
The one who sits quietly and silently judges everyone in the vicinity
Crap that's me
HAHAHAH That's me
That's me lol
What about the one with all the lotion
That is me :3
You forgot the one awkwardly standing around waiting, not able to socialise because introverted...
That's me.if I don't know anyone (that I usually don't)I just stand there until the performance starts.
I feel targeted
Yo that's me -^-
You mean you
Yeah that last one it's me
I don't know anyone too and I just sit in a corner or next to the teacher
You have a solo part to play - *PANIK*
It’s 2 weeks from now - *kalm*
Realizing you spent 2 weeks doing nothing and the performance is in 10 minutes - *PANIK!!!*
Then you have to sight read
You realize you forgot the sheet music at home: *P A N I K*
You realize that you forgot to bring violin : *P A N I K*
You are a pianist: PANIC
The 'eating bananas and chocolates" part is oddly specific.
Bananas and I guess apparently chocolates too are supposed to have calming effects
Bananas have potassium, which is good for tendons, and chocolate has calming effects
We need the backstory
It's definitely a thing because I eat both before every performance I have. I didn't know it was a thing either! 😅😅😅
Not really. Most musicians have been told at some point in their life about the banana and chocolate pre-performance diet.
You guys forgot to add "trying to play your friend's part on their instrument"
Another version: bored sopranos (who got the melody again) singing the alto parts in between soprano parts
Yes tho
And “trying to play your friend’s instrument”
abby vv lol this is me
Facts
Nervous wreck:
1. phase: laughing and pretending to be cool
2. phase: getting nervous
3. phase: shaking and hearing the heart beat in the ears
4. phase: vomiting
5. phase: crying
6. phase: feeling FREE. Wash your face and dress up.
7. phase: play/sing a scale
8. phase: go to the stage and perform a professionel concert.
Be proud of your work!
You forgot hyperventilating somewhere in there. Lol

Before a concert, our teacher hands out snacks to help us relax. As a flute player I can only just watch.
Nooooo i feel bad for u
This... This is relatable... Only difference, that in middle school, (because I played flute in middle school) there were something like... 6 flutes in total, or more, I don't remember, so our flute teacher just said "eat at home"... Now... How am I supposed to not to crave for that mf CAKE that you put on the table IN FRONT OF ME 5 minutes before the concert.
You can smoke weed tho
excuse the ignorance, would you explain to me why? I'm new around here ehehe
@@si4801 flute players can’t eat before playing because they need clean mouths to keep instrument clean and air clean

Another kind souls know the piece at number 2?
HELP as someone who googled anxiety reducing foods before my last concert i was eating dark chocolate almonds and a banana before and didn’t drink caffeine so i instantly understood that joke
OHHH, that's what it means
The feeling when you realise that Brett has no idea how yoga looks like...
Agreed. My mom is a yoga teacher...
Stretching/doing yoga
Stretches
0:53 if he was doing yoga like that, a person that goes in the room will see his butt right in front of their face
when brett couldn‘t touch the floor I felt that
I felt that too
He was in jeans. Those things are hard to bend in.

Haha thought his jeans would rip I was so shook haha
@@horatio1316 I'm still flexible in Jean's :")..

connie wang ARMYYYYYY I found another one 💜 I purple you
i’m definitely the last minute practicer- i didn’t memorize two of my solos until an hour before my performance once
Yep, I feel you. Today I had an exam and I learned my entire piece, 30 minutes before the exam, by listening to one of the singers sing the song and harmonizing it in my head. I got a B somehow
You forgot that one person (me) that makes everybody depressed by saying that the concert's gonna be screwed up
Saaaame
They also forgot the one who gets everyone hyped.
@@amara_the_god2145
That's me. I allways end my hype, one minute before the concert starts (I play pop and jazz guitar), with the words "And stay frosty"
Фу таким быть
LMAO ME TOO
I'm the type of person who eats bananas and chocolate.
No I'm not a musician.
im probably mostly just more amd more chocolates
Brother and sisters! :D
I will try. For me work with popcorn so ....
LMAO
I would eat bananas because usually that makes me less nervous
“eating before a concert”
*laughs in french horn*
if we eat literally ANY food in mouth goes 🆙🆙🆙
*laughs in clarinet*
*laughs in wind instruments*
laughs in piano
*laughs in saxophone*
I'm the one who suddenly forgets everything minutes before the concert begins.
Brett: *nervous wrecks*
Me: This is the best portrayal of me I've ever seen
Omg that's what I was thinking!
*Best portrayal of me I've ever seen as well.*
LOL, I thought the same only at "sleeping". I'll be the one that passes out into sweet oblivion, head on whatever table is backstage. And that's after I had my coffee (and tried giving some to the banana & chocolate person) 😹
me: has recital in one day
also me: hey let's play all the songs from the first piano book I got
Yoo i do that too with my beginner's flute book from 6 years ago
Literally me
Haha yeah that is so true but it’s before every lesson and every single piece from each grade I’ve done
*memories of pretending my fingers are broken*
jamie p
Also saxophones: *playing Careless Whisper on repeat while the whole ensemble yells at them to quit it*
I'm a saxophonist and my section doesn't do that lol we actually get annoyed when people ask us to play Careless Whisper
I HATE THAT SO MUCH!!!
THERE ARE TWO SAXAPHONES IN MY BAND THAT BLAST IT NON STOP. ÀAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
There this kid in my school that obnoxiously uses the room with the good piano to play carless whisper in the ukulele (not using the piano, just sitting in the stool when he could use a practice room that has just chairs and different kinds of guitars and a few other string insturments) for people on strings)and gets food all over the piano. I litterally clean school piano before I use it, and it's a race for me and my friends to get there before him. It's really annoying. Like,
Du du du du
Slightly down pitch*
Du du du du
And you immediately scream internally. I swear its all he can play
And then that irritating clarinet that learned it to play with their saxophone bestie…
True nervous person:
*The bassist dropping his bass off the stage*
Yes this actually happened.
I’m definitely the nervous wreck. What Brett portrayed is EXACTLY what I do. I start sweating and pacing, and also for some reason continuously setting my violin down on a table, then picking it up again, then setting it back down, wipe the sweat off my palms then pick it up again. It continues in an endless loop-
THATS EXACTLY WHAT I DO
but somewhere in-between that cycle ill pick up my flute and just play chromatic scales and long tones over and over
You forgot "the one that tunes constantly without any progress" - I got so nervous once I couldn't tune my instrument anymore ...
It's the worst.
@@meregaming1770 Especially when you can't ask somebody for help or use an electric tuner (it was during a competition ... I lost my nerves and any chance of getting a good place).
Forgot the person who’s playing games on the back of the stage and forgets when the concert starts
Gotta defeat all those pigs from angry birds.
Sorry a bit late but gotta defeat the ender dragon
Gotta get that Victory Royale
Look, I know you guys have heard tons of fans saying they love you and thank you for your services, BUT, I just had the most life shattering family argument that I don't know when I will ever recover from, and I just smiled watching your videos. So, Eddy and Brett, I thank you guys with my life
i hope you are doing well
I’m 2 years late to this I guess
Ok, percussionist version:
*doing crazy, freaky shit with my wrists and scaring other musicians around me*
Haha yes
Meanwhile choir kids before a concert:
Sopranos screeching
Altos learning their part at the last second
Tenors and Basses distracting everyone singing "I'll Make a Man Out Of You" from Mulan
This was kinda of copied but alright m8
As an ex choir captain, I can confirm this is true
Hello, a screeching soprano here....MY.. LIFE... EXACTLY.
Lol 😂 ❤️😜
as an alto i don't relate to it
in the choir i sing the sopranos are the ones who never know their part bc the conductor sings w them, they get spoiled and never memorize it
We altos are grown girls who always know it♡
YES that’s so true!
Where is the gang that can’t eat anything on concert day?
Leo Stals yah cuz wind instruments dont allow that 😭
Here we are, winds, brass and singers :(
i have a friend who's a singer, and i remember telling her "what? why not?? you're doing a concert, not a victoria's secret runway show"
@@maryshane5012 tho you need to eat a certain hour before a concert in order to not hinder space for your lungs and diaphragm

The transition from 12 to 13 was just perfect
“Eats bananas and chocolate”
SoUnds quite specific
you forgot the ones who forget to bring their violins
10.) socializing
The whole of the two set fanbase: what's that.
Encrypted we practice too much for this “socializing” that you speak of
I literally just socialise before concerts.
I feel called out and honestly, that’s fair
This comment is underrated lmaoooo
I'm a non musician but for some reason this is still true
The nervous one no matter how many times I performed already it still feels like the first time haha
i’m the nervous wreck lmaoooo. i was having a panic attack before one of my concerts and my conductor has the AUDACITY to point it out to the rest of the orchestra 😭😭😭
lowkey also eating dinner...but at the concert hall. last year i had a soccer game before one of my concerts and i had thirty minutes to get all dressed up after the game before i had to leave my house, and i couldn’t eat dinner so my conductor bought me food 🥺
I feel so bad for you. I'm always so nervous and then I feel really sick which makes it so bad. I was the leader/first person you see in the orchestra so that means everyone can see me at all times and it was horrible I hate anxiety and also I'm not really friends with anyone in my orchestra so I just have to rely on myself to do it.
awakE.passEngEr omg i feel you. last year i was such a nervous wreck that i dropped my music in the middle of the first piece. this year i was the second principal and my friend bought me food before the concert and i was like “jay if you don’t eat this you’re going to pass out on stage, i don’t care about your anxiety” so i forced myself to eat 😅😅
You forgot the “don’t talk to me I feel like crap” one
shoot that's totally me 😅
I feel attacked-
falls under nervous wreck
this is me only bc they always make these concerts so goddamn early
That moment when Brett is socializing by himself
Neha K. Hahahahahahaha didn’t even realize that
Back when he had dreams of being a popular soloist
@Theresa Woods Back when Eddy had fake glasses
We see them all separately here, but together they're havoc😂 and it's beautiful
Definitely relate to No 10, 12, 15 and 16. Our green room is always so packed, because we only ever have one room for roughly 30 musicians (a string orchestra), so it's either people eating dinner at the last minute, having a nervous breakdown, live-streaming, socializing or just sticking to their phone until the cue.
wind players : cannot be the type of person who eats bananas and chocolate 😥
me: eats something sugary or dairy
my instrument and windpipe: *crying in pain*

The eating part doesnt really work if you’re a windplayer 😂 try playing the cornet with peaces of chocolate in your instrument
Eating before playing any instrument with a reed, the reed gets bad
@@noodley6941 it's not limited to clarinet.
You forgot about the one having an existential crisis and regretting life

@@shostakovichcat1144 oof that sucks... how did your actual performance go though?
I was performing in this dinner with my sister and she brought her case but the violin wasnt in the case so i had to improv a solo... 🙃🙃🙃
entering number 6
The worst one is, being stuck in traffic when you're the soloist. Happened to me once, most stressful day in my life
Forgot to add “telling everyone to do stuff like :SIT THERE-NO-THERE!”
When Brett can't reach the floor when he streches? Mood
Literally me before a concert: *rosins bow furiously and gets rosin dust all over clothes*
Hermione Granger so much for wearing a dark attire. Now it's fucking white.
Oh, you're also one of those people who rosin their bows once in two months? Welcome to the club
This is meee !! 😂😂😂
I rosin my bow so furiously, it cakes on the strings. During my lesson my violin sounded really muffled so my teacher looked at it...THERE WAS A LAYER OF ROSIN OVER THE STRINGS. My bow was no longer touching strings, but a powdery mess we had to scrape off....

I am honored to have performed one of the pieces that they put as their background music as a cello soloist!
You forgot : aimlessly walking during hours before. XD

Is there anything related to the mouth that have advatages?
Rhenlan I assume that you risk spitting food into the instrument
Your instrument will be filled with the food you ate :D
Ugh that’s the worst I play clarinet and I did it once it was terrible.
Yes! Our band is wind players and percussion. And I see them eat like 5 to 10 minutes before a concert. And I'm just sitting there panicking because of them like, "Dude, what are you doing?!"
You violins “eating before you play” as a trombonist I say that eating an ounce of chocolate will cause the 4th major extinction.
or any wind instrument
insert " *laughs in x instrument* " meme here
If I eat anything before playing my trombone the spit valve will start crying
My flute would die
XD. As a violinist and former clarinet player, I have to agree. Though, some of us don't eat before concerts because it causes other problems. We did get lucky though, being able to eat.
As a choir kid i can approve
What my dad does before concert: sleeping in a bag so he can get as much rest as he can
“Which one are you?”
All the ones that aren’t practicing.
heh
practice
Please be nice to all the violists out there
Viola jokes
"I want a violin"
Mum: we have a violin at home
Violin at home:
Viola: hey, you could learn how to play Me! Am I a joke to you?
Two set:"Eating dinner"
Dinner:Chips and junk food
that’s not junk food lol
what an underrated comment
pretty sure onigiri isn't junk food
but it's a pretty odd combo & dinner choice
Wonderful!
When Eddie said I have 10 minutes to learn this piece I felt that as a band and choir kid
I'm the nervous wreck. This is why I dont perfome solos
Yep
Same. My director told me he was disappointed in me bc he expected me to take more solos and i was just like *laughs in anxiety*
That's totally me
same, and as pianist i cant even practice in last minute so..
wait in anxiety...
I once messed up on my solo and after that I would always be scared to perform solos ;_;
Me practicing before a piano concert: Hmm, let’s play the trumpet
Why this is so relatable
I play both, so when I have performance that I have to play one, of course I practice the other right before LOL
Honestly just watching this makes me anxious 😂
Brett trying to reach his toes is my spirit animal
I bet TwoSet had done all of these before during their world tour.
Bananas and chocolate, but for mid-concert with Eddy, and that involved two bananas.
I’m a nervous wreck even when I play for my dog.
Thank goodness you don't have a cat!
Same :')
This is so true
I'm a nervous wreck thinking about playing for my dog...
I'm a nervous wreck when I think
Usually the hang out with my friends and talk or watch videos. Helps me keep me sane...otherwise I'd be the nervous wreck lol
this video is stressing me out, lol
Plot twist, they’re all part of the same orchestra!
In our school orchestra there are only 13 people. (I'm not in the school orchestra because I play an alto recorder and just about a year, but I really would like to join...)
Shit I completely forgot about this comment.
Once my music teacher who is a double bassist told me that she had intense stage fright, and someone told her to eat bananas since it does give calming effects. So, just before the concert, she ate 8 bananas and she (during the concert) was feeling extremely sick.
So, moral of story, you can eat bananas but not too many.
Alright, where do you find 8 bannas before a concert
It's ya girl Marissa With Ling Ling powers
She brought them at home before the concert begins and ate it.
Haha. Poor lady. Eight would be a strong laxative too.
Mey No.
got this in my recommended few hours before my concert haha
TwoSetViolin should do a "16 Types of Musicians Do the Night Before a Concert"
I'm the one walking around, taking deep breaths and talkimg to myself in attempt to calm myself down... 🤣
Sameee but it doesn't work at all
isn't it nervous type?

You can like just like talk and talk or just think about food to keep ur mind of the performance for a while so you dont like pee urself when u go on stage or smth 😂
Wait i thought everyone was the nervous wreck

Musician before the concert: nervous and anxious.
Peasants in the concert: clapping randomly in the awkward break.
Hey thats me!
I don't know what about the mid-concert claps triggers me so much but I always feel like I'm ready to kill someone half the concert because people keep feeling the need to clap. It's gotten really hard to just sit there and enjoy the music.
@@Salted_Fysh I know I should stay still but everyone just clapping randomly and I can't hold back 😂
Freaking out and try to practice on last minute 🙋🏽♀️
last minute practice and listening to recording, that's me! I'm always cramming whyyyy 😂
I socialize. Not ashamed, because sometimes it helps with nerves to just hang out.
That'd be great advice if I didn't have zero social skills
Same, for some reason whenever im really nervous i talk a lot, but it helps for some reason.
You do realize that you distract other people and not helping them right?
@@sartr593 : Well of they're practicing it makes sense to leave them alone. If we're all just hanging around then there's no harm in it. Where's the fun in sitting in the corner and being a anxiety ridden downer?
@@cheyenne352 you speak to get rid of anxiety, if you just stand there and listen to endless blabbering there is no fun as well. think about it.
Bro... I remember Eddy did a vid where he suggested to eat bananas and chocolates to calm nerves but to stay away from coffee😂😂😂
Dark chocolate helps you to focus and prevents memory loss (very good before a performance, especially if you're tired).
Banana helps you to relax and gives you a sense of well-being (great for the nervous ones).
Coffee just excites you, but doesn't really help.
All of this was scientifically proved. However, English isn't my first language, therefore it would be too complicated for me to fully explain how it works.
You can look it up on the Internet though, if you want. 😊
Miss Coussin Rouge good idea unless you play a wind instrument like me ;(
@@MissTwoSetEncyclopedia that's cool. I need a chocolate-banana IV then

thank u for making musicians not feeling lonely anymore. i love u guys
Wow the real clvkforessaycollege190
The nervous wreck looked very authentic. Maybe a self portrait?
Why did the Running Late one get me XD I could just picture a concert beginning, everyone there, and then just Eddy sitting there in his car
I am definitely the one who can be found behind the band room warming up or the one who is running late but still arrives on time (minute the concert is about to start and everyone is sitting down)
i like to jam before the performance. it keeps my hands warmed up while letting me defocus on the show and reduce my anxiety
