you know what i like about this show the most, most of the time larry's craziness are actually legitimate expectations of proper behaviour from people, but where normal people bite their tongue and tolerate it, larry has the "fuck you money" to go crazy about it. And boy does he go crazy!!!

I knew a girl who was raped by her foster father, which messed her up and led to many other horrible incidents with men. She had a boyfriend who badly mistreated her, and a man who took her out of a shelter just to pimp her out at a very young age. Yet most of her acquaintances wanted to believe her (though the social workers did, thankfully). People would accused her of exaggeration, even of lying.
She started getting tattoos to remind herself these things happened, and to prevent people from trying to convince her they didn't, to "change her memory."
So yeah, tattoos can be in public and still incredibly personal. Stuff that's dark and you may not want to talk about all the time.
