The detailed thought, design intricacy and craftsmanship that goes into some of those custom dolls is mindblowing. The Barbies shown here look like Takarazuka Revue (宝塚歌劇団) actresses, dressed in all their glamourous, glittering, show-ready finery.
11:30 has to be my favourite auction doll look; the dress & hair strike the perfect balance between clear simple sophistication and sultry glamour. Though, as a fan of ballet & opera, I also adore the more flamboyant Black Swan at 12:25, and as a more Gothic type, I highly rate the raven vamp at 13:50. All three look stunning, and clearly a lot of work and a good eye for design went into them.
