Actually it’s really easy to sing in English more than it is to speak it I’m French and my accent’s so much better when I sing than when I talk idk why tho
@@emmathoreau2485, I heard it’s because as people we use different parts of our brain to speak and to sing. That’s why some people are able to are able to retain more information if they turn it into a song of some sort.

When you sing you mostly rely on vowel-sounds.
A lot of what makes french french are the consonants.
It's actually particularly difficult to sing in French (technique-wise) cuz your consonants cause one to close up the throat.
But vowel sounds are specifically meant to produce long clear sound.
You mostly use vowels to sing and you often automatically change the closed consonants to open ones.
So the distinct french consonants disappear.
Does that make sense? :)
I'm gonna be honest with you here. It's not that impressive, so many countries learn English in school from a very young age (nowadays), and are exposed to so much English through music, tv, movies etc. It's almost just a disappointment or a rare thing that for example Americans or British people don't speak a second language more or less fluently :)

Why did nobody turn for the girl who sang "phantom of the opera"?! She has one of the clearest voices I've ever heard
She was out of tune in several spots and had a lot of technical mistakes while reaching for notes and sustaining them - sure she can sing the song, but its one she practiced. how will she sing other songs?
@@ryvulet8639 on top of that, she would need classical opera training which none of the coaches are trained in. she does need more proper vocal training and they know they cannot do that to improve her throughout the competition
She was the best of all those voices, a more educated voice, what those who are seated are looking for are singing styles, they are looking for singers without fluids of the natural sound of the voice. At present, the educated voice does not interest them, they do not understand it, they believe that it does not transmit emotions, for them to transmit emotions is to shriek. The girl was in tune, only the last treble had some problem at the end, but the rest was fine, she was the best of all.

I feel so bad for the opera girl. The judges must've known that it's one of the hardest genres.
The song was impressive, but her technique wasn't good. That's why they didn't turn. I've trained in Opera and hitting those high notes in the way she did is very unhealthy for your voice. Otherwise I'm sure they would've turned.

After reading some of these comments about the people they thought were amazing I'm glad they aren't the judges. He did an amazing job, those notes weren't completely clean but they were still amazing. I'm on the same page as to why he doesn't have more comments. The tone deaf rule the zone apparently 🤷♀️
I highly understand the coaches for not turning at almost every opera singers, they have better trainings, technique and range that most coaches doesn't know what to do anymore.

No, they were testing her vocal abilities by waiting for the tougher notes. I think this makes the process even more beautiful; being patient for the singer to hit a high note where their talent is most conspicuous.

Cheyenna Dennison I love KESHA, like a lot. But that’s not true. That’s not why she doesn’t do it live. It’s because she’s worried she’ll mess up. She tried multiple times to hit it in the studio and only hit it after a certain amount of tries. She won’t do it live in case she doesn’t hit it properly.
Just because an artist doesn’t hit a specific note live every single time that’s in the studio version of a song doesn’t mean they can’t do it. They just choose not to because they don’t want to strain their voice even more, it’s emotional, or an artistic choice.

Well, that's the thing tho, they aren't judges. They are coaches. Opera isn't their league and it's hard to coach opera as it is, and impossible if you don't have any idea. They'll end up ruining her. I remember Lea Salonga said before how she almost lost her voice before, good thing her coach helped her work through her voice.

Because her performance was just kinda meh. Ok cool you can hit an E6. So can plenty of other people. That's the most impressive thing about the performance. Other than the high note, it was just boring. It was generic, not very interesting, and there wasn't really anything about her that stood out and they want things that are wild and different because those get ratings and that makes them money. Her audition was better for community theatre, not television.

If you "scream" it's way easier to hit high notes. That's why most people (even professional artists) sing loud/scream when they try to hit higher notes :)
