What's the saying, "if you have to ask the price you can't afford it". Real Estate is very limited there so cost is going to be high. I'm moving to Corfu because I can get right on the beach for $135,000 in a villa not an apartment. Italy is a ferry ride away.

Another nice property! This one is small enough to rent out to a couple, or small family. The home has a lot of potential and size and with the right team could be completely renovated from top to bottom.
I personally don't see any overwhelming characteristics to keep in the interior, which is good because the space can be reworked and customized - as you suggested moving the kitchen and adding another bedroom on the main floor.
That view is exactly why people travel several hours and pay thousands of dollars to enjoy! A good upgrade will bring a lot of income to this place.

We were there last October. Just a beautiful place. Our driver took us to a restaurant for lunch that was high up in the hills with an amazing view. Of course, we bought lots of lemon flavored candies, too.

Actually, the price for the villa is somewhat reasonable. The only unknown is what it would take cost wise to bring it up to modern decor. Otherwise, price is not bad at all for the location and view.

Quite frankly, with those views and outside terraces, I don't think the house needs anything but good furniture, after all, if you go to live in Italy, you might want to have that particular feeling of living in the old world....an open-concept American ranch would be a great mistake....

In Positano (with that views and access to a private beach) it obviously needs work otherwise would cost the double; anyway forget high ceilings, that house are built where today you can no longer do (sry but I don't speak eng and I can't say it better).
For sure you couldn't do like you want and the restructuring must be approved by the municipality (and state/regional italian laws), in any case it's a good price in my opinion.
