I’m in no way doubting your professionalism and ability to take care of yourself and Mako but I was worried that your boat might become a casualty of the storm. I’m thankful that you, Mako, and the boat all came through unscathed! Now I need to pray for those who weren’t so fortunate.

This is the life of a young person that is NOT addicted to screens. An example to so many of what they are truly missing while burried in social media. Yes, this informational update is great! It’s wise to post videos on a delayed schedule for safety reasons as well as to give yourself a buffer to control your workload. Having said that, this kind of video allows us to put all your other videos in a context of a general seasonal outline. We are invested in you, your story, wellbeing, success, etc. You really seem to be on a great trajectory. I’ve followed you since the beginning of your channel and the personal growth, growth as a content creator, maturity as a captain have all been inspiring.

Scientifically proven by many university studies is this fact: Sleeping 15 minutes every four hours increases creativity and motivation. I REALLY enjoyed learning more about you. I'm a 75-year-old Marine 80 miles from Joplin. My ophthalmologist is there whom I see every 6 weeks. In the early 70s, I worked on a 106-ft. stinkpot that did many islands between Miami and St. Lucia.

Greatly enjoy you're adventure. I have a standard answer when asked if I get lonely while being alone. I reply that yes, like anyone sometimes I do. But lonely is a mental/emotional state and has mostly has nothing to do with being alone which is a physical state. I can be lonely in the middle of Times Square on New Years Eve but can be alone in a mountain forest or a solo ocean sail and truly feel a part of all that is. The question is not often asked again. This has worked for 80 years. You can have it if you like.
I'm glad to see you doing these things while you are young. I have been a sailor for 47 years myself. My favorite cruising area is the BVI. I'm 78 and my wife and I don't sail much anymore. We have been married for 54 years and did all of our sailing together. All the best to you.
@@VonBluesman You mention sailors with a disability. I have a vague memory of a magazine article in Cruising World or Sail that mentioned that. Sailing CAN be a lot of work. At my age, even in good health there could be a problem at the worst possible time. If I decide to go for a sail and gale force winds are expected, the better choice would be to wait for better weather. If you know someone that is disabled and wants to sail, get them on the boat, answer their questions and assist then when they need assistance. They will learn and will figure it out on their own. I hope I have answered your question.
Single vs Married...meh! The bigger question is Alone vs Lonely? I personally, discovered that contentment was attained with Large quantities of MY time... however, brief interludes were cherished! Yet, solitaire (extended) Moments are Even more coveted! Of course having experienced marriage, fatherhood and being a productive member of a "tribe" gives a perspective later in life! Be well, stay outs of harms way bestest you can! Warm thoughts and good vibrations!

I'm single too, it's good, good luck!!! I live on a land boat, a caravan, it's amazing, different, I feel some people could experience it, learn from a small space to live!!! Constraints can move us into another aspect of us!!! We really are resourceful, resilient, capable of living in different conditions, aloneness is liberating, fear cripples us, maybe better to not do fear, everybody mustn't do fear!!!! Freedom, aloness, is good, I'm an artist, I'm aware of the shadow of your camera and you on boat next to you!!! I work in theatre and film and have to be conscious of shadows, in the set!!! I think the Q&A is a good idea. Most CZcamsrs do one at least once a year. If you do read the comments on your videos or Instagram, you might keep a log of questions that come up along with their frequency so you can prioritize them. For example, I would like to know your general plans for sailing annually. Do you set specific months or seasons that you intend on sailing every year? Obviously, opportunities like the Greek sail come up and change things, but what is your overall plan? Thanks for all you do to make this series enjoyable to watch. I think most viewers know it is not easy and appreciate your efforts.
You should haul in Chaguaramas Trinidad, very friendly people, great services and prices and (currently) out of hurricane reach. It’s 20 years since a major hurricane hit Grenada. It was the go to place before then. It’s easy to forget and now Beryl has shown it’s not a guaranteed hurricane free zone. Stay safe, have fun in the water. Very inspirational for young folk

You should haul in Chaguaramas Trinidad, very friendly people, great services and prices and (currently) out of hurricane reach. It’s 20 years since a major hurricane hit Grenada. It was the go to place before then. It’s easy to forget and now Beryl has shown it’s not a guaranteed hurricane free zone. Stay safe, have fun in the water. Very inspirational for young folk

If I were 30 yrs younger, and smarter, I'd fight for a chance to spend time together. Alas, I am not! I AM happy to hear that you do enjoy your alone time. I wish there were a way for you to feel safer. I am jealous of your adventures! Growing up in Colorado, I had no clue these things were out there!! THANK YOU for sharing your life and adventures.
