Hey guys! This is only a comparison video and shows the benefits of upgrading from a single band to dual band router, its not the comparison between brands. So don't get the wrong idea.
DLink is also a good brand! As I didn't have any other single band router, I had to use that only in my video.

Was planning to buy a router as I have no idea what to buy, got exactly what I wanted. Very informative.
Dual band router is basically this. 2.4ghz and 5ghz at the same time. 2.4 has good range and goes through walls but limits data speeds. 5ghz has limited range but fast speeds but also can’t penetrate walls well. Either way dual bands are so affordable now and way better than single

nice video on explaining the two kind of routers. On 5ghz band you will always get better speed but its range will be very less as compared to 2.4ghz band. So if you want to cover a larger area then 2.4Ghz will be your choice but the speed will be compromised. It will also depend upon the maximum speed supported by the router and also the bandwidth of your connection.

Hi Vimal. Currently I am using the dlink dsl N300 router. I stay in a penthouse. The router is placed in my living room as a centre location. However signal drop is constant on the room upstairs. What should I do. Go for a dual band. And recommends on brand and model. Thanks

Dude range is limited in 5Ghz band whereas range is high in 2.4Ghz band.
Dude he mentioned in the description he is not talking about bands he is talking about range and dual band routers gives more range doens't matter if you are on 2.4 or 5.0

My comment is bit late but doesnt wifi range depends on frequency bands? meaning 2.4GHz has more range than 5GHz band. So how does changinf routers from single to dual band affect the range? Or am i missing something? Please elaborate.

Even if you buy duo band router it dose not mean it will help you with your stream before you spend the $$$$ do some more research where do have streaming problems close to your router or when you are far away is the router the problem or is your internet provider if you have a streaming problem when you are faraway then buy a repeaters and put it where you have signal problems or buy the dual band router and use your old router has a repeater

Hi. My connection is 100Mbps bsnl ftth. I connected my laptop through wifi using single band double antenna router and tested the speed and it shows around 100Mbps but at the same time when I connected my mobile through same wifi and tested the speed and it shows only around 50Mbps. It all depends on the ISP - If you're on a 20 Mbps plan - a dual-band router is not going to work miracles. Also, do you know any ISP who provides internet on the 5GHz band?

Before you go for dual band router you need to know that Dual band router has less wifi range capacity compare to single band. Yes of course speed will be double in dual band but range will be less than single band. Same time dual band will support single and dual band.
So guys if you are looking for more speed then dual band is oke for u .. but if u taking dual band for more wifi coverage is not going to be useful for you....
Dude when you go beyond 5 ghz range it changes to 2.4 ghz for more coverage.
