I was not at this show, but i think that Steven Tyler was in playback cause when he did the scream, he didn't use the microphone....anyway i love aerosmith, this is not a criticism :)

Steven was taking requests and I remember someone yelling Lord Of The Thighs, I think, and the keyboard player telling Steven he didn't know that one. Steven was a little miffed at that...along with the crowd. Lol.

If you think Steven isn’t singing, you simply don’t have the ear. The video is 25 years old and isn’t perfect, but you can hear the subtle variations in his delivery that make this stick out from the album version. That’s one way to know if the singer is actually singing. We always throw in a few little things here and there. And don’t forget there are back up singers too. And Steven does not need to have that mic super close to be heard. I had a very overpowering voice when I was a front man and at certain notes, if I didn’t pull off the mic, you wouldn’t hear the band. Axel rose is notorious for this. Dude never pulls off and drowns out the band all the time. This is live. I was there. I also went to the show the day before when monster magnet opened for them. They gave the tickets out for free. So I took my dad :)

I was there! Front row! I yelled GET THE LEAD OUT and Joe played the beginning riff and that was it. It was great, though!
Me too! Pine Knob! They handed out tickets free at the show the day before! Super awesome ! Listening to Steve warm up singing Janice Joplin was Epic!

Steven was 50 here. He's born in 1948 so yeah, he was 50, not so young, but youthful looking. His life got much better when he got off drugs.
