There is a balance. But the scriptures says to anoint people with oil and the prayer of faith will restore the sick. Also in the gospel of mark Jesus said take nothing with you except a staff.. the anointing of God is also transferable and can impart. Hence the fact Paul's handkerchief was anointed and Peter's shadow too, when people touched Paul's handkerchief people were healed too. So discernment is needed to know what is of God and what isn't.
