I feel like many people on dating apps don't know themselves and what they need. They focus on superficial things although the focus should be on compatibility. Don't expect someone to make you happy. Heal your past, love yourself and grow as a person, so when you will finally meet the right person, you will recognize them and you're ready to welcome them into your life.

Almost 25 in two weeks, never had a boyfriend not even an “talking stage” but I’ve had crushes which turned out not the best and there were a few guys that would hit on me but it just never felt right. Sometimes I do feel like having a relationship or love is just not for me because I’m afraid of truly opening up myself but I’m praying as I try to focus more on myself and completely love and heal that maybe something will come along but until then I just honestly wanna focus on myself 🌻

@@tanisha8197 Maybe. Probably why I’m currently in therapy, my parents didn’t do the emotional thing as much when I was a kid. I’m a work in progress, I’m definitely not giving up on myself because when I have kids one day and I want to be there emotionally as much as I can for them.
I met my current boyfriend on Tinder. We are toguether for 2 years now. I kind of did this you mentioned. Took the app as an instrument to meet people that were not on my routine and got to know them from there. Didn't know I was being cientific at the time, just being critical abaout people.

REAL TALK FROM A REAL G.
I would rather meet someone in person, and do it on my own, without pressure from others, because then it's more genuine and real. But in today's world, everyone thinks your odd or crazy if you CHOOSE to be alone. It's not a bad thing to be single for a while, I've realized that I have to learn to love myself, first, before I can love somebody. Its respect for others, and its respect for myself. The ones I love, didnt love me, I can't make them, and I refuse too. I say "them" because my first and only husband, didnt love me, or wasn't happy being with me, so I let him go. Maybe I was wrong, but he definitely told me that almost daily. Then, my second relationship, was a total sham! Like, I dont even think that guy ever loved me! It was more about getting even with someone, or using me. It's all good, because I am stronger now from it, and he taught me so much of what I won't accept in a man, and run from that person, immediately!! Another thing is, I won't be living with a guy, for quite sometime, due to being too clingy, too loving, and too smothering. I fall too hard, especially when the guy love bombs the crap out of me! Only to find out, he was manipulating me, and playing games! I've even come to realize, my last lover, was likely homosexual!! He likely was the entire relationship, but kept it from me! So next lover will definitely be cut off, if he starts giving signs of homosexuality. I have nothing against anyone that is LGBTQ, I just think it's really low, and a horrible thing to do to someone if you tell them you are straight, and he made sure to tell me he was 100% straight!! He left no clues out! But when he got caught being a big liar to me, and causing me so much pain & hurt, he must have found him another lover, but this time, it was with a man!! I think he honestly goes both ways now, and I don't care anymore. I dont want to ever accept what he put me through these last 5 or 6 years! I cant believe I stayed as long as I did! I felt like the biggest fool! All his lies, cheating, and stealing! Then, he brought others over to my home and they stole from me! I bet, he was even in on the stuff that happened to someone else I know? I bet he was in on that! Even though we moved, cause he constantly was moving me and my children state to state, which made no sense at all, and it was evil what he done to me. I have had to move so many times, be mistreated, kicked and spit on, and hit with things, and still I would come back for more?! Its because I have noone else. Or that is how these men, especially the last one, made me feel. I'm done with being threatened and lied too, by the liars and the fakes. If you dont think people dont already know what you done to me, and how you set me up? Your out of your mind!! I even know they know the lady, where my stuff is at! Now, unless I am told what is going on, than you have no rights to do me this way!! Spell it out, write a book like me, and then I'll know. Because I don't shit on people, they do me, and that is their double edged sword, because they manipulate the situation like 100% of the time, 24/7, to be that way! They are doing this, because of money. Most likely some type of insurance or inheritance or something they did. They tried to change the policy and make it look not in my favor, but everyone knows, and everyone is onto the fakes and lames as I am! I am done being beat down, degraded, and mistreated by anyone who doesn't want to respect me! I am so sick of people who act cocky & rude, and inconsiderate, thinking their cool. I always think of the golden rule when I meet new people, treat others how you want to be treated. So if I want to be treated with respect and kindness, than I have to give it! I always have, but for some reason, I always have a team of haters doing evil stuff to me.

I totally agree with the concept of first knowing and loving myself, handling my own issues, learning to stay alone, developing and keeping an abundance mindset before being able to love and to be in a relationship. Learned it in the hard way... And i follow the path of making self improvement a passion and self awareness a habit. But: There may be a big misconception while saying "my parents are with me" or "spend time with family" as overseeing, that while not having a own family (in terms of relationship or at least kids) you eventually *will* end up being alone - whether you like it or not, bc somedays *you* are your one and lonely "family"... No reason for chasing anyone or anything, but ignoring that fact may misslead you in the long run. Keep strong!

Especially if your parents have no money for themselves, that's a problem. How can you get into this if you cannot leave them. How can you be yourself if you're living with your parents. It'll not help you grow. Believe me I experienced that. Parents have no money for themselves, and they're dependent on us.

I've spent a few years total on dating apps, and I can honestly say that they're full of shallow women. There's one specific "type" that seem to be plaguing the dating apps, which I won't get into. You'll find yourself wasting a ton of time swiping with little success, and this is coming from a good looking guy. Meeting people organically through a friends circle, or just out doing your thing is the best way to meet someone who's genuine.
After like a decade of online dating and now these all too accessible apps instead of the paid stuff, I agree with filtering a lot. I worked on myself a lot too and have switched my thinking to: I'm the prize. I ain't got time to chase, that's a red flag! If your opening message is non existant or generic, next. If your profile is emtpy and half assed, next. If you show little effort to chat with me from the start, next.

I don't know man. If i ever have children and they ask me: "how did mom and you met?" I don't want to tell them, i swiped right. If live isn't about creating history worth telling, what else is it about? A friend of mine at work told me how he met his girlfriend. He was supposed to meet his future wife across the atlantic in a few weeks. Meanwhile he was needed for a big project and was irreplaceable. He went to the office of his boss and told him: "If i can't have vacation next week, I'll quit my job". It wasn't a thread, he promised to work all day if it's necessary, as soon as he's back and he did. The project went well and he met his wife. This is a live worth living for, in my opinion :)

Hello Jay shetty I am 25 from Australia my parents have hated each other I am survivor of domestic violence from my father I have strong trust issues I have been single for five years people tell me my standards are too high but I don't want to settle I am on my healing process right now I learnt that vulnerability is dangerous I have had high walls up to protect myself so now iam allowing myself to feel again. So I am committed to my own healing right now I do wanna get married own day but iam not in a rush I love freedom and I don't wanna lose my strong sense of Independence

I know now that I can Survive on my own that's a powerful lessons I went through hell with my father alone I had friends but no one knew at the time. I just have a tendency of attracting girls who really aren't that attractive and the girls I do find attractive don't find me attractive. Which leads to me thinking I'm just ugly 🙃

I spent day or even years thinking whats wrong with me why women don't like me and when women was very friendly to me i was thinking whole day "was she interested in me" then later no way that kind women can be interested about me. When women looked at me i was thinking "was she interested" etc. This may sound very crazy but finding a girl to my life was very important to me. I had somehow kind a pressure to find a girl to my life.I had pressure because i have been told that without women there's no life and i to be liked from all to fit in with all. Later in life i learned that i can't please everyone.
This happened when i was early 20's. Now im 31 years old and i already gave up on women and went my own way and im trying to develop myself.
Try keeping the conversation flowing when any woman approaches you or you approach her. Talk about why you are in that particular place you are at and if you like her ask her number. It's easy as that.

I stopped doing the dating sites because they would NEVER work for me. I would talk to some women on them and the conversations would never last long. Most of them would never reply to any of my messages.
