Costco is tightening its membership rules to prevent non-members from sneaking in with borrowed cards.
Shoppers now have to scan their membership card at the entrance, and photo IDs might be required for those with no-photo cards.
The company is serious about keeping perks exclusive to paying members, even upping the membership fee to $65 starting September 1.

You still get 2 cards per membership. So my friend and I share a membership. I did have to change my address to her address and wait for my new driver's license, but then we went down and got my card. So it costs me $30 a year.
