I can guarantee you that Eddie and the coaching staff watch more rugby than anyone who criticizes their opinions. Most just see highlights of attacking flair, 2-5 minutes out of 80.
Now, all players will have bad games, England had a bad one Saturday night, but don’t forget this team smashed the All Blacks, were the winningest team last year... this was one game, that a good Scotland played reeally well.

The issue was the game plan. Scotland's weakest area were their centres, were they tested? No. Instead, England kicked to their strongest area which is their back 3 put Russell in there too as he drops when it's kick tennis. Kicking to Hogg and Russell in space is asking for trouble. Final Russell/Redpathh at 10/12.....run at them! Good players but you fancy making yards against them. Personale wise, Billy V has to go and Daley too, put Watson at 15 and lets see what Odogwe and do. But what will Eddie do? The same as last week because he's stubborn.

I get baffled sometimes when I hear about being taught a lesson?. Well you are lucky it was not NZ or SA mate, because they would have run England off the field and the scoreline would have been too much for the English to bare, it would have been an utter embarrassment. So when I hear that Scotland labored past a labored England to only win by 11-6, is saying that possibly both sides in fact have isses.
England will sort theirs no doubt and relatively quickly, but Scotlands ponderous attacking with poor execution skills is their problem. England have a better squad than Scotland, lets face it. So its ok, I still think you English are better, but to have lost to a ponderous and poorly executing Scottish side is a bit, hmmm, but I was not shocked Scotland beat England, I mean Argentina beat I think the worlds side to beat still, NZ, only for NZ to come back the following week and do a 38-0 past them. The gap between NZ and the rest is still their and dont I know it. Other than the French at present the gap is still their with NZ and the rest. Come 2023, I do not expect NZ to win by no means, I expect France too, but it will be a Kiwi Vs France final, haha. 2027 I would put my money on NZ to win, they have too much class coming through that the rest just dont. France 2023 and back to NZ 2027, there you go.
Good luck though to all the 6 Nations sides and its hard when your national side losses, especially to a lesser side, which Scotland is, end of. They labored past to just win, but the execution skills of Scotland and the ability to get over the line is questionable.

@@jmcn34 Scotland played great, there's no denying that, every team loses sometimes...
NZ lost to Argentina (who have never beaten them). Not quite sure how you're missing my point, you said England have to wait a year to play Scotland? SA got beaten by an 'inferior' team and had to wait far longer to exact their revenge. Understand now?
How am I a clown for pointing that out? Scotland still celebrate a win by 6 points for one major reason... They rarely do because England have a great track record. Whether you like it or not they've won 3 six nations in 5 years, including 2 back to back. They won the Autumn nations cup. They got to the WC Final (yes they lost to SA but who do you support and where did they end up?).
Your kind of football-esque name calling doesn't belong in a sport like this. Most people are congratulating Scotland on the win and understand that every team loses matches sometimes, but sometimes people like you have the most magnified chip on your shoulder.

England scrum performance not even that bad on Saturday but people love a narrative. England got 5 pens, Scotland got 6. I think the last two england pens were given away in the final 10 mins when the replacements were on. Genge won an early pen and ultimately held up when being put under a lot of pressure on the 5m line when Fagerson was chatting b******* (and that was with Jonny May shoving at the base). The biggest scrum pen came on the tighthead side when Sutherland steamed in on Stuart. What I’m saying is the return of Big Sink is going to make a world of difference.

They do defend well from first phase, though. So here’s England’s issue for me: beyond first phase we kick the ball away! I can see us squeezing a narrow win against Italy, unless we can inject some pace and invention into the attack. And not give away a ton of penalties as well, obviously.

Disappointing from England, but to be honest with you what I have noticed with UK sides, is they will have several years really high end play, then just phooofff, gone again. Scotland did well, but the execution to score tries is non existant. Scotland may have had the only try, but had it been one of the big Southern Hemisphere sides, could have put 20-30 + past England in my eyes, England would not have been able to defend it and I think EJ knows that. Nothing to be worried about, England will be good for WC and that is what matters to EJ more with only 2 years out from WC. But France and NZ will have you in their radar, so beware as both NZ and France are looking good, specifically the French. NZ are not consistant at the moment, but will be up their with France come 2023.
Scotland though have potential, but it will as per be short lived. Again, a few years where NH sides are in their ascendency, then you just seem to drop off the edge of a cliff. This to me, is THE difference as to why SH sides in general have been better, because for whatever reason they seem to be able to pull it off a lot more than NH sides. 1 NH World Cup glory since 1987, England in 2003, but the rest are SH sides, is saying something about the overall level of rugby played back home in NZ, SA, Australia and now Argentina who are all going to be a bigger threat than England in 2023. Being in with Argentina and Japan group is not as easy as you think England. If you lost to Scotland then you can lose to Argentina and Japan, ok, just saying, because those 2 sides Argentina and Japan I regard as better sides than Scotland. So I would reframe from thinking it is an easy side, because you could potentially get knocked out. Argentina beat NZ away in Australia remember last year, 25-12. Admittedly the All-Blacks came back and thrashed them 38-0 the following week, but to underestimate Argentina and Japan which I have seen from some English supporters is not advisable. Certainly not advisable as you got beaten by I think a labored and inability to run Scotland side with poor execution skills. Just being honest, but I think England will be their usual hard selves in 2023, not concerned.
France will win this years 6 Nations and probably 2022 as well. They look too strong and should be the team to win the next WC too on current form who would argue?.

The issue was the game plan. Scotland's weakest area was their centres, were they tested?
