Heck yes! Man I have been itching to do one of these since seeing all of your videos
Mcfarlane toys figures are perfect blank canvas for painting, fantastic work chris, i missed custom collectibles, i´d love to see you branch into hasbro too, there are some awsome black series and marvel legends figures that look 1000 better with a paintjob
@@bioraccoon9470 you say that like 75 percent of McFarlane products aren't mediocre at best
@@bioraccoon9470 I know, but you saying your glad McFarlane took over makes me chuckle, because McFarlane has notoriously bad QC, paint, and articulation, all stuff Hasbro has actually gotten a lot better at
@@bioraccoon9470 they're available in stores, so they have to sell a large percent to kids
And if they're supposed to be adult collectables they really ought to have better paint
@@bioraccoon9470 I'm not big on marvel figures, I don't own any. And I'd rather spend 95 bucks on a well articulated, well detailed, well painted figure of a character I care about than 4 McFarlane figures that are just so-so. To each their own of course, spend your money how you want.
“No ones playing games Slade.”
Even though you barely added any paint to this figure, the slight work you did paint managed to seriously make all of the sculpted details pop in the best possible way! This Deathstroke action figure was already pretty awesome but that extra little bit of finite detail work completely changed the overall look into something truly incredible! I think what did it for me was that extra touch of silver you applied at the end, and of course the classic black shoe polish method never fails! Excellent job Chris! 👍🏻👍🏻😎
It really is amazing how such a simple little thing like drybrushing can take a figure to the next level like this
I have been binging your entire custom collectibles series since seeing the Tactical Batman the other day, I LOVE these videos man.
Mate, looks fantastic. Really incredible what a little bit of dry brushing and shoe polish can do to bring a figure to life.
I’m really glad to see you back doing these customs again and getting a couple in a row has been sweet
You gotta start doing more custom collectibles Chris more eyes on ya channel they’re amazing the original jakks pacific Batman will forever be the best
Wow! That’s a dramatic improvement! Well done!
Wow, the figure looked already good, but know he looks amazing!
So glad Chris is doing more custom collectibles again! Awesome fellow Geek!
Me: Nuln Oil on everything then stipple with Necron Compound
Crazy how this Deathstroke figure fits in so well with the Zack Snyder's Justice League figures
The funny thing is I never knew about this figure until I walked into the store kinda geeked out and got it right away thinking it's awesome but his custom is truly awesome
please do the arkham knight Batman. You really bring these figures to life! Awesome work!
Love these quick Chris’s Custom Collectibles videos! I miss watching these. Your so incredible at making them look amazing. Done and Dusted
Love me some dry brushing also. I did the same thing a while back. Dry brushed this with sterling silver metallic paint.
Now THAT'S Deathstroke!!!! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
CHRIS ever thought of doing a custom job on a Warhammer 40k mcfarlane figure?
Dude, looks amazing. I bet if you could get your hands on the Mcfarlane DCEU Justice League figures, you could bring them up 1000%. That Aquaman NEEDS your help
Loving the new 80’s synth intro
Love this series, you’re doing great Chris!!!
I really like you customizing the multiverse figures hope you continue this
Super awesome how you can make a 20$ figure look like a 200$ collectible. Great work!
Definitely a great one to paint nice and simple plus it doesn’t pose well so you want it to look awesome like you did
Cosplay Chris be putting on for the custom collectables!!!
Damn why is this the coolest one you’ve done yet
Excellent work ! I like what you've done to the figure it looks absolutely beautiful and realistic 💙🧡🔥
Chris, this looks amazing. Top notch! Deathstroke and Deadpool are my favorite characters and you nailed this by making it go from a cartoon like toy to a epic piece of art!
I love your channel. I hope in the future you can start doing more custom collectibles and what not. And keep in detail like you do with all your videos.
Doing this exact thing right now, used shoe polish and just going to dry brush some silver over it then spray matte clear and done
Also gave him a working holster and a posable orange/navy bandana
Love watching your custom collectable videos
Looks perfect now! It's so accurate especially the colors! Nice job!
Looks awesome, I do miss your custom bases
That’s some really gorgeous brushwork!
Nice! Would love to see you do this for bloodsport!
I remember using markers on my figures as a child, it sure never turned out like that! Fabulous job! Looks like that raise the resale value.
Great job ... it looks like a million bucks !!
Please keep giving us more of these figure videos!
Honestly I wasn’t having a good day until this video! Thank You! ☺️
Holy crap dude I love the end result there, McFarlane really nailed the sculpt here, it's crazy how much you were able to accentuate those details!!!
es increible lo facil que puede ser dejar estas maravillas de figuras aun mejor!! muchas gracias por tus consejos, estan precisos para dejar esta figura como una joya!!
I'd love to see u do something similar to a Superman figure too 🙃😁... beautiful work on Deathstroke tho
That looks great, you should add some black around the eye hole of the mask to make the eyes pop more and have more depth.
Awesome job as always Chris! These quickie tutorials are great, I’d love to see what you can do with McFarlane’s Grim Knight..
Think I will tackle him but just with a black wash, grey and metal. Awesome vid!
Yo this one was awesome! Very impressive outcome
He looks even better with his “God killer” sword that comes with Damian Wayne Robin
I recently did something similar to my gold line Darkseid figure. It's amazing what some black wash and some dry brushing will do.
Can’t wait to do this to my death stroke when it arrives.
got to love McFarlane toys!
Awesome work 🤘🏻
Well that pretty much looks 1000% better 👍
Awesome! Would love to see some of The Big figs again - like when u did Batman, Superman and Captain phasma etc❤️
This looks great man! Looking forward to seeing darkseid get this treatment!!!
My friend you should try using a hair dryer to dry the paint it adds a smooth surface and makes the process very quick
Other hobbyist at hobby store:
Where is paint isle?
Chris at random store:
Where KIWI?
that’s so fire I love it
You sound like you can do a very good Mickey Mouse impression, love the custom by the way.
It’s amazing how many videos you have of putting shoe polish on figures lol.
Love your vids Chris hope it going well
Simply wow! :)
Looks great! a nice base would look awesome with this, maybe inspired by the shipping containers from the Arkham origins cinematic?
he looks a lot better now
So nice!
Chris: this detail on this thing is beautiful
Me: what detail?
Looks good
very good. great job man! Makes a customized video of Geralt of Rivia mc farlane toys.
Oh Chris has a Ring i never noticed it before
Awesome 😎👍
Fantastic as always but I'd do a little bit of shading around the eye ;)
Nice af bro💪…I have 103 McFarlane pieces and I wanna do this to a ton of mine I just can’t bring myself to take em outta the box🤦♂️
Nice job on the figure, Chris. Something about that eye I don't like. Maybe if you sanded it down and painted it black like it was hidden by shadow.
In other Deathstroke related news, Ron Perlman was/is perfect as the voice. I thought Manu Bennett (of Arrow) was perfectly cast for live-action, and the suit looked pretty good in that show, particularly the helmet. Apparently Bennett was trying to get his own Deathstroke series on the CW, he was pushing for it back in 2017 and even got the support of Deathstroke creator Marv Wolfman. While Arrow and it's spinoffs are not very good in my opinion (though Superman & Lois is decent), a Manu Bennett led Deathstroke show on HBO Max would be tight. As for Joe Manganiello (of Snyderverse), his role was basically a cameo so there's not much I can say about it yet.
I'm looking at getti g the flash mcfarlane. Would love to see how you'd make that look. The only thing that puts me off their batman and superman is the rigid Cape.
Anyone here notice that he mess the blue side helmet with their silver dry brush paint? and he painted again with the blue metallic colour.... so many skipped step in here, i believe he add lil bit blue metallic after he did silver, but he never told us this step until done.
Black Shoe polish in American must be more concentrated. Kiwi shoe Polish is basically black paint here.
That looks amazing! but I’m a little disappointed that you didn’t bring any driveway dirt back with you after you changed your tire 😝
I'll take this as a yes
This is basically the arrow-verse deathstroke. Love it.
This looks so realistic gotta try it you must make more like superman and was the batman custom figure giveaway announced who won
Can you please cover the materials needed for revamping figures in the beginning of the episode? It would really help.
You should do this with the arkham knight batman and JL Flash
It looks better than a Hot Toys jeez
I would love to see you tackle a transformer
Like a movie Optimus Prime or something
Thisnis awesome can you do a green goblin or doc oc someday
Y’onow Chris, McFarlane is looking for painters. You should really apply and show them how it’s done
Bloodsport. I know it’s coming.
What is the music you use it’s
So good
YOU ARE THE MOST BEAST (GODDESS)EVER
Do you dilute the shoe polish wash? Or is it straight from the bottle
Quick question, how does the matte spray affect the mobility of articulation? Not sure I'd want to turn the figure into a statue as I do photography with them.
You should try the McFarlane Toys Gorilla Grodd Injustice 2 figure
I was sincerely hoping that this would happen..
Will you make more?
Now The Arkham Knight Batman please.
He must frequently buy shoe polish and paint all the time
Hey Chris, LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!! I was wondering if you could give me some advice about mine and how to grow it, please!
I'm making Paul's DIY Jakks Pacific BvS Robin Suit Collectible inspired by the orignal Chris' Custom Collectible series. Go check his video tutorial it's awesome. Do a 31' version of it. I'm working on a 19' like Paul did
This looks simply magnificent I hope Chris continues doing mcfarlane toys custom collectibles because they turn out looking amazing
Check my repaint out, I did it when the figure was released.
