Personally, I set drag move to one of my mouse buttons so instead of pushing my mouse on the corner of my screen, I press the button and drag the view around. Even if you hold it spacebar more than other people, the ability to let go and move the cam it just a little better than what you used to do and it helps when I play things like Kogmaw or champs that move a lot like Irelia.

    For anyone struggling with the camera panning part, I've been using the "Mouse button drag scroll" option (in the "Game" section in settings) for a few years now and I like it a lot. With this you can pan your camera in pretty much any part of the screen by clicking the mouse wheel and dragging, so if the mouse going to the edges is a problem to you, this can be an alternative.
    It could be not that efficient tho, or even a bad habit, but I find it really comfortable when you get used to it and I haven't had a problem in fairly high elo (masters). Imo it can help people that play with low sensitivity or can't move their mouse too much (wrist injury, lack of room for mouse, etc).

    • @Terwilliger2
      @Terwilliger2 Před 2 lety +5

    • @rafelg94
      @rafelg94 Před 2 lety +1

      I can't live with this. I think it's a habit from classic Command & Conquer games, or such, but it's a nice way to adjust the camera without moving the mouse so far. Maybe it's because i don't have a lot of mouse sensitivity.

    4:09 having more attack speed will help to a degree, btu can also confuse and mask the effect and idea to a new player. I recommend starting with the champion they choose, and learning an auto attack reset combo. I love the video and the points you've made, but I also have to mention to the newer players here or the ones who struggle to play with unlocked camera that people have climbed all the way to Challenger playing with a locked camera, so while you will see more as you start panning the camera, if it's hurting your ability to control your champ then don't beat yourself up about it.
    Also, if you're having a hard time getting used to unlocked, try the other video settings in the client like Per-Side Offset, which is my favourite one

    You can also change it in your settings so that instead of moving your mouse great distances to nudge your camera, you just press MMB and move the mouse towards the side you want to view the most by just moving it a little bit.

  • @petit_ecureuil_malin

    A lil trick about camera control: i started league 10 years ago, was a big fps and mmo player, so really used to have many inputs with left keyboard hand and so character/camera control with it. I translated it with a complete change in key assignation in league, and it could be usefull to new players without the classic league setup habits:
    Move camera with wasd, Q and E for summoners, 1-2-3-4 for abilities, ctrl +1-2-3-4 self cast, f1234 for up abilities, R for attack move command, T for Hold position, zxcv for team cam focus(thumb camera control for switch as jungler) space center and g/h for pings
    Makes u keep the left hand setup u used to if from fps/mmo, while having complete control of camera (i never have camera positioning troubles as big nida player its kinda critical) and so keeping cursor where it needs to for character control and aiming, just requieres a bit more left hand inputs and precision (dont flash while trying to move cam to right or use ultimate)
    Its very specific but you could maybe use this trick with the newest players
    Thank you for the content always good things to catch

  • @WaLLy_
    @WaLLy_ Před 2 lety +1

    Press A to input an attack command instead of right clicking on the target. Prioritises champions near towers and also its easier to attack targets since you dont have to be precisely on them

    Quick question, do you guys think it is bad to use the drag scroll for camera movement? Would it be worth for me to try to learn camera panning even tho im used to dragscroll?

  • @kaos6684
    @kaos6684 Před 2 lety

    What would be your advice on using middle mouse dragging to move the camera? I picked up the habit in Dota, and it seems to be good at keeping my mouse close to my champion as well as giving me a lot of control and precision that I seems to be a lot harder with edge panning. Mind you, I did have to disable the scrollwheel so I wouldn't just zoom in, and I am also quite bad, but it seems like it has potential and I haven't seen a decrease in effectiveness. Thoughts?
