I want to be a vet tech for small animals and exotic animals. I'm a college student and I have disabilities. But I'm luckily still able to take classes despite my struggles mentally and physically (being fat). I'm thinking about going for animal science first. That's the only degree my college offers. I would have to transfer to a 4 year for the vet tech specifics etc.

I got Netherland Dwarf bunnies recently and they just had babies. They are growing and their favorite foods are Italian Parsley, Black Kale and Blueberries. I've been researching bunnies with this channel for about three years now and I didn't know bunnies really liked roses, that's a new one for me. I love bunnies, they are one of my favorite animals.

I think my rabbits like petrichor (the smell of the grass after it rains) as whenever i open the outdoordoor after it has rained earlier in the day they hop straight out (they’re in a room with a door to the garden so i have an attached run for them - they love when i open the door and will only binky outdoors and i think that my room sadly doesn’t have enough zoomies space but hopefully they can sometimes go in the very long corridor (i have cats and they have access to the corridor but maybe i can have like one hour in a day where the bunnies can go into the corridor to run) so that they can have the corridor as their exercise area rather than outside during winter/heatwave) (btw i often have the window open if it rains a bit so that they can smell it a bit as it’s relaxing for them aswell as exiting) If you read all of that, thank you, but also sorry, i have adhd so you just read my brain’s unveiling of it’s own lil secret plan lol ahah
Besides banana, I know EXACTLY what scents my rabbit goes gaga for. Strawberries, basil, and anise hyssop. she especially loves tulsi basil. and tulsi is used to make a lovely stress reducing tea for humans. also timothy is the good one. i tried orchard hay and rukia would just wolf it down and be looking for more. a really good rose to use is beach roses. they have a strong odor. humans can use them for making sweets and the fruits for making tea and jelly.
My bunny Trixie also loves bananas! Also one time a friend brought me back some tea from Disneyland. It was a strawberry and rose herbal team and Trixie would follow me around and lick my lips after I drink it 😊 the Disney magic is real!
My late Randell loved the smell of peanut butter, she could smell an opened jar a mile away. Don't worry I didn't give her any. Pixie loves the smell of nashy apple, boy talk about expensive tastes...lol

Though I've never sensed distress I'm sure rabbits may not appreciate strong manmade smells like gasoline,bleach, incense and other smoke. Any chemicals,dirt or grease on your hands will likely end up inside the bunny since licking is their bath. Most pellets contain weird fillers called middlings. I think these are cheap junk. Only Oxbow doesn't have it in the classic mix but now even they're starting to use it. Is it in some way good for rabbits?

Lulu loves all food. Freeze dried strawberry is his favorite and he likes to have first pick of the hay before I drop it in the litter box. Drew Bunnymore is more reserved. Her rescuer said she wasn’t the biggest fan of treats and she wasn’t kidding. I still have yet to find a green she will eat more than once. Finally did find a second bunny biscuit she likes. I’ve actually have been around more bunnies that dislike banana than like banana.
Do be careful in your choice of wood to give your rabbit. Not only use untreated wood, but avoid certain trees with toxic wood. Apple, pear, oak, ash, maple, sycamore and pine are all OK

Small Pet Select uses pine and birch in their play tables. But yes. I have even had to inform my friend, who recently got into woodcarving, that there are certain woods our rabbits cannot have. Fortunately, he's learning using balsa wood.

my bunny's favorite scents are apple leaves, cilantro, dry mango and dry pineapple (of which he gets a tiny bit in rare cases), carob (he gets tiny pieces when i need to encourage him), he is crazy about dandelion root, different hays but only in fresh condition, which is why i am dispensing portions sufficient for half a day of consumption (i order around 7 types), but he is not always interested in banana, sometimes he hates it, when i am trying to give him a tiny slice to improve peristalsis when he is shedding... and he hates basil and roses
Our bun loved the smell of his hay. He would play in it and throw it on his head. I called them his hay-hats. He also did love his greens... except mint. lol
I'm pretty sure it is me I'm not a thousand percent sure but you started grooming me like the first couple days of having him then he started sleeping on top of me if every now and then😊
Besides the usual fruits and greens my 5 go crazy to get at the guinea pig food when i am cleaning their area. I even had to make the front of my lower lever higher because my noy rabbit would jump in their enclosure and eat all their pellets!
My bunny used to fly at me whenever i was eating bread and tried to steal it nearly every breakfast 😂. She wasnt a big fan of carrots tho. Apples were fine but overall the leafy greens worked great for her.
I cannot give my bunny a variety of salads, her poop becomes softer with more fibre or different food. I have to stick to same type of salads and fruits, although i can add parsley, coriander, mint or basilica

My bunny loves watermelon especially on a warm day .,but what scares her is the smell of cooking meat. Merry We actually installed a vent over the stove so worst of the smell is eliminated.
I got this giant bag of Oxbow orchard timothy hay. The moment it was opened, I had my bunnies all over me, even Rexy, who doesn't eat hay as much as the other three. Rexy will race up to me and "claim" (chin) my legs to tell the others that I belong to him. Then Xiao Wu gives me a glare and claim my hands. Loki and Erlong stopped caring because I'm with them almost all the time. How powerful are bunnies' sense of smell? Undamaged, freshly picked blueberry buried in their bowls of veggies and their face is buried into the bowl for their blueberry (each). Outside of banana, Loki LOVES the smell of kale. He LOVES kale. He's "kaling" me with it. Erlong loves the smell of hay and Loki. Erlong is attracted to the smell of my husband's coffee. Rexy loves smells, in general. Though he gets mad when our friend (who lives with us) isn't home for a day or two. He likes how our friend smells. ALL of them love the smell of Apple sticks.

I want a rabbit so bad but I've decided to not get one because of restrictions from my mom. I feel even if she did say yes (which will never happen) the bunny wouldn't thrive as it would if I had my own place where it could roam free over a WHOLE APARTMENT vs just my tiny room. I want the bun to have the best life ever. Not a restricted one.
any ideas what scents would be good for a bunny owner to put on themself to help build more of a bond with their bunnies? My 2 male bunnies (they turn 3 at end of August) are very reserved and distant even though I have had them for almost 3 years. They sometimes allow me to pat them but have trouble picking them up and/or grooming them and they certainly don't sit on my lap. They will head nudge me occasionally; walk near me; sit/flop within a metre or 2 of me and curiously seek me out if I go in to another room and when I go to bed they do eventually relocate to their area in my bedroom. Every day I lay on the floor near them when I give them food/treats and pretend to sleep; don't touch them/occasionally pat but stop if they start to look uncomfortable. Our bond has progressed over the years but it is still an uphill battle. Any tips would be appreciated :). Hugs from Oz

I had a rabbit like that. She would only eat pellets, hay and Cheerios. And no, I could never get her to try anything else, even though she could see my guinea pig enjoying it!
i tried a LOT of things with my rabbit. Apple's, Banana, (basically all kind of fruits.) But my bunny, well, let's say he is really 100% a bunny. Carrot it is. And not just the vegetable! Even snacks. I bought a snack at one point. It was a bag with 3 different colored snacks. Green, Brown & orange. (The orange one being the carrot.) Guess which one he ate? 😅 He is really incredible. But if he doesn't like something... I guess he is really like me. I'm also very difficult when it comes to eating. Well, i don't really like a lot of meat/chicken. And fish is completely out of the question. (Not even because i'm a vegetarian or vegan. I just don't really like it.) The only meat i do like is, well, unhealthy. 😩 But i do eat a lot of vegetables myself. So i tried many different things for my bugs! (Of course, after looking up on the internet if it was safe to give him the specific veggie i had at home.) Really love your channel. Been a subscriber since i had my bunny. So that must be around November/December 2016. 🐰

my bunny's favorite scents are apple leaves, cilantro, dry mango and dry pineapple (of which he gets a tiny bit in rare cases), carob (he gets tiny pieces when i need to encourage him), he is crazy about dandelion root, different hays but only in fresh condition, which is why i am dispensing portions sufficient for half a day of consumption (i order around 7 types), but he is not always interested in banana, sometimes he hates it, when i am trying to give him a tiny slice to improve peristalsis when he is shedding... and he hates basil and roses

Besides the usual fruits and greens my 5 go crazy to get at the guinea pig food when i am cleaning their area. I even had to make the front of my lower lever higher because my noy rabbit would jump in their enclosure and eat all their pellets!

My bunny used to fly at me whenever i was eating bread and tried to steal it nearly every breakfast 😂. She wasnt a big fan of carrots tho. Apples were fine but overall the leafy greens worked great for her.

I cannot give my bunny a variety of salads, her poop becomes softer with more fibre or different food. I have to stick to same type of salads and fruits, although i can add parsley, coriander, mint or basilica

We actually installed a vent over the stove so worst of the smell is eliminated.
I got this giant bag of Oxbow orchard timothy hay. The moment it was opened, I had my bunnies all over me, even Rexy, who doesn't eat hay as much as the other three. Rexy will race up to me and "claim" (chin) my legs to tell the others that I belong to him. Then Xiao Wu gives me a glare and claim my hands. Loki and Erlong stopped caring because I'm with them almost all the time.
How powerful are bunnies' sense of smell? Undamaged, freshly picked blueberry buried in their bowls of veggies and their face is buried into the bowl for their blueberry (each).
Outside of banana, Loki LOVES the smell of kale. He LOVES kale. He's "kaling" me with it.
Erlong loves the smell of hay and Loki.
Erlong is attracted to the smell of my husband's coffee.
Rexy loves smells, in general. Though he gets mad when our friend (who lives with us) isn't home for a day or two. He likes how our friend smells.

I want a rabbit so bad but I've decided to not get one because of restrictions from my mom. I feel even if she did say yes (which will never happen) the bunny wouldn't thrive as it would if I had my own place where it could roam free over a WHOLE APARTMENT vs just my tiny room. I want the bun to have the best life ever. Not a restricted one.
any ideas what scents would be good for a bunny owner to put on themself to help build more of a bond with their bunnies? My 2 male bunnies (they turn 3 at end of August) are very reserved and distant even though I have had them for almost 3 years. They sometimes allow me to pat them but have trouble picking them up and/or grooming them and they certainly don't sit on my lap. They will head nudge me occasionally; walk near me; sit/flop within a metre or 2 of me and curiously seek me out if I go in to another room and when I go to bed they do eventually relocate to their area in my bedroom. Every day I lay on the floor near them when I give them food/treats and pretend to sleep; don't touch them/occasionally pat but stop if they start to look uncomfortable. Our bond has progressed over the years but it is still an uphill battle. Any tips would be appreciated :). Hugs from Oz

I had a rabbit like that. She would only eat pellets, hay and Cheerios. And no, I could never get her to try anything else, even though she could see my guinea pig enjoying it!
i tried a LOT of things with my rabbit. Apple's, Banana, (basically all kind of fruits.) But my bunny, well, let's say he is really 100% a bunny. Carrot it is. And not just the vegetable! Even snacks. I bought a snack at one point. It was a bag with 3 different colored snacks. Green, Brown & orange. (The orange one being the carrot.) Guess which one he ate? 😅 He is really incredible. But if he doesn't like something... I guess he is really like me. I'm also very difficult when it comes to eating. Well, i don't really like a lot of meat/chicken. And fish is completely out of the question. (Not even because i'm a vegetarian or vegan. I just don't really like it.) The only meat i do like is, well, unhealthy. 😩 But i do eat a lot of vegetables myself. So i tried many different things for my bugs! (Of course, after looking up on the internet if it was safe to give him the specific veggie i had at home.) Really love your channel. Been a subscriber since i had my bunny. So that must be around November/December 2016. 🐰

Interesting Turbo dislikes basil but loves banana and is okay with rose. He will go feral over anything sweet he sees me eating. I've been jumped while eating candy corn. I think its the rustling bag, he will try to steal it from my mouth. Rascal.
