Very accurate! i also found it difficult to find Jeans and shorts that would properly fit too. I literally had to ask several times if I was in the women’s section 😂😂😂. The shopkeepers were extremely friendly and spent a lot of time explaining the history of the company and after an hour of trying clothes on I found the right fit. Great video!
You are 100% correct as someone who is 6’7 and 290lbs the Italian style suits looked horrible on my frame. The best I found was huntsman their suits are pricy but are well worth the money

I respect that people care so much about fashion and suits. I personally have worn a rented suit once in my life and will never do that again. (not even for my wedding). I feel terribly like being forced into a uniform that I don't want to be in.

Runway models are generally 6’ to 6’3” but very slim. Italian suits (continental cut) look good only when you fit the specific body type they are made for, and have the face of a model (otherwise you will end up looking like a scrawny kid). I think classic cuts are the most suitable cut for the vast majority of people, and offer far more of a “classy” appearance. Great video my friend.

"heavy built" can include a lot of body types. Muscular but lean men look great in close cut suits that actually fit them. Men with higher bodyfat percentages and lots of muscle tend not to look good in close cut suits
You do make a good distinction for muscular lean men. However I beg to differ on your assessment of men who aren’t necessarily lean
ANY MAN can look quite dashing in tailoring provided he has the RIGHT CUT.
If you’re a LARGE MAN, just ensure you wear a generous cut. Clothes look best when they HANG OFF THE BODY and not CLING to the BODY.

@@AskOkeyIncyeah the suit is perfectly fitted. You can tell in the shoulders and across the chest. If you look at the lapels, you can see that they are going for a much more bold look instead of the really closely tailored suits we've been seeing for the last decade or two.
I had a similar impression in thinking it looked too big, but you need to think about who this man is. I haven't seen any other videos of his, but he is obviously in fashion, and he's critiquing suit choices. Therefore, the fit of his suit must be flawless for the style he's going for.
Whether you like the style is a matter of taste. I like it, especially those really wide lapels, but it's a very different style than I'm used to seeing.
Also, remember that a double breasted jacket will generally look boxier than a classic single breasted one, since it brings the vertical line of the jacket front off to one side, which presents a much larger, uninterrupted piece of fabric across his body, which adds the impression of bulk.

As a 6’1 lad with a beer belly, I find double breasted blaster with straight or fitted trousers work well with that physic. (I’m like 85/90kg or 190-197 pounds)
They absolutely would work if the coat is cut PROPERLY to your physique.

maybe we have different definitions of skin tight
Also you've mentioned measurements sheets? I'm talking about in house measuring and adjusting which is necessary for a well fitting suit, if you did in house measuring and it still came out badly then it's a tailor issue of not caring not the style of suit itself.

I'm a fairly muscular man, but I'm 20 years old, so I have a long way to be a really well-built man. I don't generally wear suits but I've got a decent number of blazers/sports coats, most of which are Italian cut. They feel a bit uncomfortable on the back, arms, and shoulders even if they fit well on the waist. Also, I have some issues with dress pants. My waist is between 30 and 32 inches but since my thighs are big, it is very hard for me to find well fitted pants off the rack.

thank goodness you you wrote "in my opinion"... italian suits do still follow "rules", they're not randomly thrown at you. Me? I'd get a british suit only after I already got an italian and french first. British suits are easy to wear, I'll give you that, an italian one you have to pull it off, if you don't have the right personality is gonna look off on you.

That first sentence really hooked me ngl
20 stone men, like myself, who work out a lot, struggle for everyday clothing, let alone, an Italian, fitted suit or any suit if I am tbh.
I hate things to be tight around my neck and shoulders. I need a 3XL in jumpers and jackets but t-shirts in that size look ever so baggy and anything fitted is out of the question. I also have big legs as I wouldn’t be able to carry my weight and I’d look stupid without them, so jeans are also a pain to buy, but I am only a XL in tracksuit pants but need a bigger jeans size to fit my legs in them.
I lastly have to get jeans from a big persons shop that a lot of rugby players shop at.
