Some advise on getting (male) doctors to listen to your pain/gyn problems:
- Make a pain journal were you record how often and how intense the pain is
- Rather than just telling them what you feel also tell them how it is affecting your life. So for instance "I am regularly so exhausted form the pain that I struggle to make dinner every night" or "I used to be able to get xyz done everyday but now I have to chose only one of them". When i was going through this, as a student, my best line was "I used to be able to write 1000 words a day, now I'm lucky if I manage 100". Which seemed to quantify it a way that was very understandable to doctors
- Lastly my least favourite, but potentially the most effective. Take someone with you, preferably a trusted man. Unfortunately doctors and especially male doctors give more credit to a man telling them how the pain or other issues affect you than they do your own experience. So if you can ask a friend, partner or parent to come with you to your appointment.
I'm also a little drunk so this might not be the most concise thing I've ever written, but I hope it might help someone!
I used to watch Drunk Advise in school wishing that I could be a 20 something getting drunk with a friend while talking about other peopleâs problems... I can safely say that I have now achieved that wish

Me and my husband went through a period of asking ourselves if we were over or in a slump and we decided to seek out a relationship therapist which helped us realise that we wanted to stay together and helped us go through our issues x
Me and my spouse got to that communication on our own, most people need help in overcoming societal indoctrination.
i think it's incredibly romantic to acknowledge that you could find love with someone else in the future and don't need your current partner. you don't need them, you CHOOSE to be with them

Marry someone you're first attracted to and then also shows themselves to be a great friend, too. It almost never works the other way around where you see them as just a friend and hope that you'll become deeply attracted to them.
My wife is my best friend in the world. But the one thing we share together that we don't with anyone else is that intimacy. That's crucial to any lasting romantic connection.

Oof that dad question omg, Iâm trying to work out how to forgive my dad for an affair he had but people say itâs not my place because he didnât cheat on me obviously, but he still left me too. My parents are back together but the trust issues between me and my dad are REAL and therefore the trust issues between me and everyone ever
7:00 can confirm, it can work! I chickened out hard and used lockdown to ask my crush out, as I knew I didn't have to go into the office and see her if I was rejected :D Turns out she liked me too! Unfortunately, the downside is that it's pretty difficult to maintain a relationship in its early stages over zoom....

I think i've been on the journey for most of the 10 years, to the point where I can't actually remember how I found your channel, did John Green give you a shoutout early on or something maybe? I remember it was before you went to Uni I think.
But all that to say, I feel kinda weirdly proud of you and how much you've grown as a person into someone who is now such a thoughtful educator and someone who's advice and thoughts in your videos, despite rule 3, I deeply value and respect and who's advice has made a positive impact on me and the way I interact with people around me.
And I know all this is a weird asymmetric thing of viewer and creator but I guess I want to say thank you and here's to another 10 years of thoughtful growth!

I loved this so much! A phrase I kept thinking about watching this that applies to so many areas is high hopes but no expectations. So not placing pressure on your hopes. It just removes a lot of pressure on you/others if things don't pan out as planned.

This was so nice to watch! I am a long term watcher of Hannah (about 6/7 years). When I was beginning to watch you, I also watched most of the other youtubers in this video, but as I got older I stopped watching almost all of them except Hannah. This felt like a reunion where I got to hear how their lives are now because they were a large part of mine. I enjoyed this a lot!

This brought me so much pure joy, Iâm still smiling. Iâve been here for almost every one of those ten years, and followed all of these people and everything theyâve created from those early days. I am so proud - it feels crazy to know that every one of you have succeeded and progressed in all of your lives, and in such different ways. It reminds me of how far Iâve come, too. Being 26 is strange, and Iâve achieved so much, and I am still hoping for even more, whilst simultaneously trying to understand and heal the person that I am.
