Let’s ride for what we used to ride for - completely off the grid.
There is a trend among athletes that is increasingly breaking the link between humans, nature, and themselves. It’s all about numbers these days.
It’s all about counting kilometers and looking on displays. Being constantly distracted, we are on the way to losing access to our environment.
To ourselves. To real life.
We are convinced that adventure is about being in the here and now.
You can only have a real experience of adventure if you are willing and able to really perceive your surrounding.
Without any distractions. But how can we inspire people to shift their focus back to real experiences?
Well. Imagine yourself on your bike. There is a starting point and a destination. Nothing more.
No smartphone. No tracker. No GPS. Just you and the environment.
To reach your destination, you will have to rely on your senses. You will have to use your mind. And you will have to get in contact with people.
It is the only way you will arrive. Not as quickly as possible, but with more memories collected and exciting stories to tell than ever.

Einfach geil! Finde die Frage am Ende eines Trainings viel sinnvoller anstelle "Wie weit/schnell/hoch?" besser "Und wie viel Spaß hat es gemacht?" 👏🏼
Das Erlebnis zählt, nicht immer nur die Daten deines GPS Trackers. Sehr schön erzählt und man sieht dass die Leute Spaß hatten.
Die tatsächliche Route zu sehen, die beide Teams gefahren sind, wäre noch cool gewesen.

Coole Idee! Wobei ich meine Touren zumindestens immer gerne aufzeichne. Aber das kann man ja mit einem Wahoo oder meiner Garmin Uhr auch ohne dass ich eine Navigation nutze. Das werde ich mir für diesen Sommer auch mal wieder vornehmen. Als Pfadfinder kann ich ja noch mit meinem Kompass und der Karte umgehen. Danke und Gruß aus Kiel
