The message of Pastor Tan-Chi here stuck with me and cleared my mind. The beliefs of CCF about being saved is based on Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast."
However, the next verse, Ephesians 2:10 states that "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Thus it is clear that we are required to do good works.
When the pastor preached 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 "By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved-even though only as one escaping through the flames." supplemented the requirement of good works.
It is clear that the requirement for people to be saved is to first, believe that Jesus is our Lord and Savior and to do good works for when the Day comes that the fire burns the foundation and if it survives, the builder will receive a reward.
Allow GOD to control your life so that he can lead,guide and direct your life accordings to his willl and you may have peace of mind and joy in your heart with him.
Many are the plans in a person's heart but it's the Lord's purpose that will prevail.(Prov. 19:21)

Holy spirit will not control you we are no puppets. Holy spirit is on the advisement role only and so is the bible. The spirit in 1 Cor 2:15 means spiritually alive (Rom 7:14b). You are the driver of your life and the word of God is your navigator. Whether you listen or not it's up to you. No one controls you but you. Without freewill everything will be a charade/not true. The ministry of the holy spirit was over when the written words became available to all. Now we are guided by the word of God. John 1:14 and the word became flesh... means obedience to the word. There is no different with the holy spirit and the word of God. Holy spirit was just means to an end, to bridge the gap between old covenant (works) to the new way of belief which is by faith (not works). The proof of this is our differences in understanding the bible, in which if the holy spirit is still at works will never happen.
Jesus was called God because of the Father communing with him through the holy spirit (Luke 3:21-23, Col 1:19). 1 Cor 8:6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father... not the son. The holy spirit is the spirit of God the Father, John 15:26 “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father-the Spirit of truth who GOES OUT from the Father-he will testify about me. John 17:3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4 I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. ONLY means one!!!

Jesus is no God but the image of Him (Gen 1:26). Elevating Jesus diminished his worth. Here is why...The wages of sin is death. Jesus is a man (death is inevitable) who was born sinless and kept it throughout his lifetime (John1:14) His obedience was a human effort. Making Jesus into a God makes all his effort and work suspect. The mere man Jesus is, the awesome he is, for his total obedience to God. For me to be amaze by someone, that someone should be like me and yet can do what I can't. If Jesus is God/man then his work does not amaze me because he has an especial power. It is like a 10-year-old boxer defeated 30-year-old opponents. That's amazing!!!, but later you found out that the 10-year-old boxer was a son of superman. Will you still be amaze? Jesus came to save us, Rom 5:19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the OBEDIENCE OF THE ONE MAN the many will be made righteous. Man means man not God/man.
If there is the person of the holy spirit why is it that there are different Christian beliefs? The holy spirit supposed to guide us into one truth, one belief, yet we are composed of many denominations with different doctrines. There is no trinity, that is why no one can understand it because it is not true. You cannot believe in something that you don't understand or able to explain!!! Here is why... because other (false) religions will adopt or use the same excuse to avoid corrections. Then the only victim of that is the truth!!! Get thee behind me satan.
